I finally took the pictures of my collection of Tote Bags, I even overloaded Instagram.

In order: Let's help Japan (a benefit for Japan, because of the earthquake), it was a present from Tania (Superninon) but it is made by Leraclet, by Gemma Correll, Etsy the white and the black one, by my friend Larinani, by ProQM a beautiful bookshop in Berlin, HHV a cool record and fashion shop in Berlin, by Our Hen House, by one of my favorite brands Petit Bateau, by my friends of Calle Marconi and in the end mine.

Ho finalmente deciso di fotografare la mia collezione di Tote Bags, ho persino intasato Instagram nel caricarle.

I just updated my Etsy shop, the Summer collection 2012 is online (thanks to the sunny day of yesterday allowed me to make the pictures). I hope you like it!

I am in love with Instagram and I really like taking pictures of things around me at home, but also during a walk. But, I must say, that on Flickr there are vintage pictures Creative Commons very very interesting and beautiful, I selected some pics belonging to the U.S. National Archives and part of the Documerica serie.

Adoro Instagram e mi piace fare fotografie a tutto ciò che mi circonda a casa, come durante una passeggiata. Ma su Flickr ci sono delle fotografie retrò creative commons veramente interessanti e bellissime, quelle che ho selezionato per il post appartengono al U.S. National Archives e fanno parte della serie Documerica.

Last week was dedicated to design: Apartamento has arrived (I subscribed it few time ago) and Saturday I went to the Fuorisalone with Andrea. We were in Tortona area, if you lost it, I recommend to go next year.

Settimana dedicata al design quella passata: è arrivato Apartamento (avevo fatto l'abbonamento qualche tempo fa) e sabato sono andata al Fuorisalone con Andrea. Siamo stati in zona Tortona e se lo aveste perso, ve lo consiglio vivamente per il prossimo anno.

Few minutes ago I was surfing on Pinterest and, as often happens to me from a link to another there is a chain and I forget the starting point, anyway I found Analogue life.The website is very well done and it has a shop full of beautiful objects for the home. The Japanese style is fashinating me more and more.

Pochi minuti fa stavo guardando Pinterest e, come sempre da un link arrivo ad un altro e creo una catena di cui non ricordo più l'origine, ho trovato Analogue life. I sito è molto carino e ha uno shop fornito di oggetti per la casa davvero belli. Lo stile Giapponese mi sta conquistando sempre di più.

vicky: an interview

One of the things I really like of the interviews I make are the answers that in a common conversation you wouldn't make, and it is even nicer when you interview someone you know, maybe not too well but enough to understand the meaning of words.
I know Vicky since a short time, but from the first moments she hit with her light kindness and her spontaneity. Enjoy the interview...

Me. Who are you? Can you talk a bit about you (your background)?
Vicky. Hi my name is Vittoria, but everyone calls me Vicky.
I live in Bergamo but I also spend some month a year in Spain. I went to the Art School and then I took a degree in painting and restauration at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Bergamo.
On 2003 during that last year of the Accademia I went on Erasmus to the "Facultad de Bellas Artes de Valencìa", an extraordinary experience which opened my artisti horizons, changing dramatically my view of the art. During the end of school and after few work experiences I understood that I was not really into restauration. A surgical job that leaves few place to creativity and fantasy. For years I painted on request and I decorate walls to make a living then I changed my mind to be much more free and do what I like.

Me. What do you do?
Vicky. I take care of my creative urgency.
On my own needs I use an instrument instead of another.
I always loved engraving, I entertain that passion since the high school and after years of wishing I was able to buy a small press.
Now I am having fun on testing different pressing techniques. My favorite is Xilography, usually I press wood, but also Linoleum, rubber, cardboard and I print on paper or fabric.
Anyway wood is my very favorite, when you feel the nature, you can't but fall in love! I use it both for carving and small sculpture.

Me. Are you a full day crafter?
Vicky. I’m afraid not. I try to find jobs that will not take too much time to the things I love though.
Me. Graphics o print?
Vicky. Both! As for me they are two strictly connected things. One does not exist without the other. There is only one kind of Graphic for me, the Artistic one that you can print or re-print only in limted editions!!

Me. Can you explain to us what Xilography is?
Vicky. Xilography is the art of carving wood. With gouges and knives I press and work on wood taking out the parts that will be white on the print, leaving what will be inked.
I ink the printing plate with a roller, it leaves color on the relief then I print with a press on paper or fabric. (it is the simple version, there are several ways to do it)

Me. Where do you take inspiration for your works?
Vicky. When I travel and I am alone I always have thrilling and inspiring intuitions, my eyes are always looking for visual impulses, even if latest I am more into nature, an encouraging nature.
I have a great interest for trees and graphic scheme that branches make in the sky or on the earth. And I am attracted to symbols suggesting meanings, for example the circle.

Me. Which is the first step you do when yu start a new project?
Vicky. First I organize my ideas and thoughts writing and designing on my notebook - I am really into notebooks and organizers. Then sometimes my personal works evolve or develop ad work in progress.

Me. Is there someone you'd love to collaborate with (from past or present)?
Vicky. Collaborations are always stimulating, so I really like 'em, but I don't have any in my mind.

Me. Which artists or designers are you following so late?
Vicky. Various, often more foreigners than italians. There is an artist I follow every single day, she is Paula Bonet form Valencia, one of my best friend.

Me. Can you describe your average day from waking up to night?
Vicky. The first thing I do when i wake up is running at my window in the living room to check if sun is shining. Is is? It will be a good day.
Light, bright colors, blue sky are the perfect starting point for a good humour, because ONLY if I am happy I can create!
I wake up with a big cup of milk in front of my computer then I go to the studio. I stay there till late afternoon and then I go to work.
If I do not work, I go to the studio after lunch and stay till night.

Me. The Top-5 of the place we must visit in Bergamo (every kind of).
Vicky. The Castle of in Città Alta: as soon as Spring comes I go there quite often to relax. It is so peacefull.
The Teatro Sociale in the very heart of Città Alta, it is magic. The garret of my Uncle Adri, is is full of graphics and sculptures. He is Adriano Bonari, a famous Mail-Artist. Flamingo Bergamo, a small shop in Piazza Pontida, delicious it is unique. And then ... I miss the fifth!!!?

Me. A hidden dream?
Vicky. To have a studio/greenhouse. Big and full of light, a structure in wood and iron, with transparent walls and ceiling!
Maybe outside pines and evergreen :) Love it...

Me. Your favorite magazines or blogs?
Vicky. One magazine and it is digital: Printshow on Italian art-print.
Two favorite blogs (the only two I follow) Fine little day and Uppercase.

Me. Is there something I didn't asked about, but you'd say?
Vicky. BLA BLA BLA! and…Thank you.

Una delle cose più belle delle interviste è leggere le risposte a delle domande che in una normale conversazione non faresti, ed è ancora più carino quando le fai a qualcuno che conosci, magari non troppo bene ma abbastanza da capire il significato delle parole.
Conosco Vicky da poco, ma sin dal primo momento mi ha colpito la sua gentilezza leggera e la sua genuinità.
Godetevi l'intervista...

Io. Chi sei? Potresti dirci qualcosa di te (il tuo background)?
Vicky. Ciao mi chiamo Vittoria, ma tutti mi conoscono come la Vicky.
Vivo a Bergamo ma qualche mese all'anno lo trascorro in Spagna.
Ho frequentato il Liceo Artistico e mi sono laureata in pittura e restauro all'Accademia di Belle Arti di Bergamo.
Nel 2003 durante l'ultimo anno d'Accademia ho frequentato la "Facultad de Bellas Artes de Valencìa" in erasmus, un'esperienza formidabile che ha aperto i miei orizzonti artistici, cambiando radicalmente il mio atteggiamento verso l'arte. Durante la conclusione degli studi e dopo qualche esperienza lavorativa nel settore, mi son resa conto che del restauro non me ne "poteva fregar di meno". Un mestiere troppo chirurgico che lascia ben poco spazio alla creatività e alla fantasia. Per anni ho dipinto su commissione ed ho decorato pareti per guadagnarmi da vivere poi ho deciso di svincolare la mia mente per essere libera d'esprimermi e fare quello che mi piace.

Io. Di cosa ti occupi?
Vicky. Mi occupo delle mie urgenze creative.
In base alle mie necessità interiori utilizzo dei mezzi piuttosto che altri.
Ho sempre amato l'incisione, una passione che coltivo dal liceo e dopo anni che lo desideravo, sono riuscita a comprare un piccolo torchio.
Ora mi sto divertendo molto a sperimentare le varie tecniche incisorie.
La mia preferita è la Xilografia. Solitamente incido su legno ma anche su Lineoleum, gomma, cartone e stampo su carta o tessuto.
Ma il legno rimane comunque il mio prediletto, assaporando la sua natura, non puoi far altro che innamorartene! Lo utilizzo anche per intagli e piccole sculture.

Io. Sei una creativa a tempo pieno?
Vicky. Purtroppo no, comunque cerco sempre di trovare lavori che non tolgano troppo tempo a ciò che mi piace fare.

Io. Grafica o stampa?
Vicky. Tutte e due!
Per quanto mi riguarda sono due cose strettamente correlate. Una non esiste senza l'altra. Di Grafica per me ne esiste una sola, quella d'arte, che si stampa e si riproduce a mano e in quantità limitate!!

Io. Ci spieghi in cosa consiste la xilografia?
Vicky. La Xilografia è l'arte di incidere il legno.
Con delle sgorbie e dei coltelli incido e lavoro il legno asportano le parti che dovranno risultare bianche sul foglio, lasciando invece in rilievo le parti da inchiostrare. Inchiostro la matrice con un rullo, che deposita in questo modo il colore sulla parte in rilievo e la stampo poi per mezzo del torchio su carta o su tessuto. (te l'ho descritto in modo molto sintetico, ci sono comunque diversi metodi sia per inchiostrare che per stampare)

Io. Dove prendi l'ispirazione per le tue opere?
Vicky. Da sempre quando viaggio e sono sola mi capita d'avere delle intuizioni che mi esaltano e mi ispirano, i mie occhi sono sempre in cerca d'impulsi visivi, ma nell'ultimo periodo sono molto interessata alla natura, una natura rassicurante.
Mi interessano molto gli alberi e gli schemi grafici che i rami creano con il cielo o con la terra.
E sono attratta dai simboli che suggeriscono dei significati, come per esempio il cerchio.

Io. Qual'è il primo passo che compi prima di iniziare un nuovo progetto?
Vicky. In primis cerco di riorganizzare le idee e i pensieri scrivendo e disegnando tutto su un quadernino - ho un debole per quadernini e agendine.
Poi a volte i miei lavori personali si evolvono e si sviluppano mentre sono in piena creazione.

Io. C'è qualcuno con cui desidereresti collaborare (qualcuno del passato o del presente)?
Vicky. Le collaborazioni sono sempre molto stimolanti quindi le desidero fortemente, però non c'è nessuno in particolare.

Io. Quali artisti o designer stai seguendo nell'ultimo periodo?
Vicky. Sono vari, generalmente sono più stranieri che italiani.
Ma c'è solo un'artista che seguo tutti tutti i giorni. L'illustratrice valencìana Paula Bonet, una delle mia migliori amiche.

Io. Potresti descrivere una tua giornata tipo dal risveglio a notte fonda?
Vicky. La prima cosa che faccio appena mi alzo è correre in sala e guardare dalla "mia finestra" se c'è il sole. Se c'è, la giornata parte sicuramente bene.
Luce, colori vivi, cielo azzurro sono fondamentali per il buon umore assicurato e importanti, perché SOLO se sono allegra riesco a creare!
Mi sveglio con una big tazza di latte d'avanti al computer e poi vado in studio. Ci rimango fino a tardo pomeriggio e poi vado a lavorare.
Mentre se non lavoro, vado in studio dopo pranzo e ci rimango fino a notte.

Io. La top-5 dei luoghi da visitare di Bergamo (di qualsiasi genere essi siano).
Vicky. Il Castello di San Vigilio in Città Alta. appena arriva la primavera vado spesso lassù a rilassarmi, c'è pace.
Il Teatro Sociale nel cuori di città Alta è magico.
La soffitta colma di sculture e grafiche di mio Zio Adri. Adriano Bonari, un grandissimo Mail-Artista.
Flamingo Bergamo, un piccolo negozio in Piazza Pontina. Unico nel suo genere, è davvero delizioso.
e poi mmmm… mi manca il quinto!!!?

Io. Un sogno nel cassetto?
Vicky. Avere uno studio /serra. Enorme e luminoso. Una struttura in ferro o legno, con le pareti e una parte di tetto trasparenti!
Fuori magari molti pini, che sono sempreverdi :) Meraviglia…

Io. Riviste o blog preferiti?
Vicky. Rivista una ed è digitale. Si chiama Printshow sulla stampa d'arte italiana.
Blog preferiti due (gli unici che seguo sempre) Fine little day e Uppercase.

Io. C'è qualcosa che non ti ho chiesto, ma che vorresti dire?

studio fludd: an interview

There are people who slips out our hands.
The girls and guys from Studio Fludd participate to the Band Loch of January, I was really longing for them to come and I was absolutely happy to know they were in the team.
They are so interesting and have a lot to say, that's why I interviewed them! I must say that reading and translating this interview I found a lot of inspirations for my craft works.

Me. Who are you? Can you talk a bit about you?
SF. We are 5 (Caterina, Clara, Matteo, Sara, Valeria), everyone more or less from Padova, we are between 25 and 27 years old. We met each other in different moments, fellows at the high school or later at the uni. In 2008 we create an informal collective which takes the name from Robert Fludd, an english alchemist of the XVII century. We had in common (as we have) a strong discontent of the aesthetic context of the land where we were living and we had the desire to start a magical transformation of our surroundings. After the first steps in DIY we thought a blog was prominent. That gave to the shy Fludd project a kind of international visibility, right now it is a tool to organize ideas, to intensify investigations, to document the different phases of our projects and then also start a network with young artists, through a serie of interviews which brought to live meetings and co-operations. Now the moment is not easy, but positively open and anyway of transition. We are all moving in the surroundings of Venice (3/5 of us live there), in the next future who knows, let's keep our luggage ready!

Me. You are a collective, what do you do?
SF. We work on projects form illustration to design, from graphic design to fashion, from make-up to environmental installation. We hope we can work on everything with the same quality. We are interested in keeping our approach available, we come from same field of study but from different schools so we are not skilled only on one field. We are really fluid in our work too - we are not always together, sometime the two sometime the three of us, it depends on personal needs and on the project. Anyway we love well made things, even though sometime it is a handicap, because self-criticism slows down initiative and determination, but we will improve.

Io. Where do you find inspiration?
SF. Everyone has his own, clearly. When we meet up it is useful and easy to make an exchange. We read books, catalogs of museums, pictures taken or saved form the internet. When we do not have time we make it online. Venice, a part of all, is a real inspiration (sorry for the vintage word).

Me. Are you more designers or alchemists?
SF. Let's say alchemists. Not because we want to behave as backward looking sorceress. Our studies are different: Caterina and Sara made artistic studies, Matteo and Valeria graphic design, and Clara studies fashion. We are not strictly designers, neither in the way we work, nor as cast of mind. We do love the alchemist who believes in eclecticism, in new reading of traditions, in secrets of the materia, in high ambitions and in serendipity.

Me. Which is the first step you do before starting a new project?
SF. Definitively a large collection of referring images, of the visual lanes to follow. Quite often we start form materials, 2D or 3D, connecting them all. Then everyone of us tells his own opinion and we start a creative exchange, where everyone finds his own role.

Me. Is there someone you'd like to work with (someone form past or present)?
SF. Oh of course yes, it's what we are looking forward to. Many young artists we interviewed on our blog, among which It's Raining Elephants and Hanna Konola. Then the vivid Hvass&Hannibal and our neighbour Automatic Books.
But also carpenters, writers, musicians, neuroscientists, people that are not completely related to the visuale art world. But it is so hard to find the Right Person. You are not always allowed to make a decision - sometimes you must be responsive, and if you have the chance you can manage it.

Me. Which artists or designers are you following right now?
SF. Randomly: middle-age anonymous, catalogues of the last shows at the Fortuny museum (in Venice), the photographer form the 20s Karl Blossfeldt; then Sarah Illenberger, Carl Kleiner, Studio Toogood and Formafantasma. Illustrations by Laura Carlin, the books of Planeta Tangerina, the crew Nobrow, ...

Me. Which project of yours, you think, is the most succesful?
SF. Who knows. Slow Wood was a success, it is the modular sandwich for kids, we showed it the last year at KidRoomZoom, a side event of the Fuori Salone in Milan. Maybe an important part of our productions are the necklace Materia Prima - even though we always considered them as an artigianal training and symbols of our aesthetic and conceptual researches.

Me. Big cartel or Etsy?
SF. We do like Etsy; it is an ocean with its pros and cons - it is a global phenomenon, a huge place where everyone pass by. Our Bigcartel is still a Beta, it is born for who comes to our blog. We like to have both by te moment, even if we are not marketing wizards (...).

Me. When you are not working what you like to do?
SF. Times of work/off-work are without distinctions. In this very moment we can say we always work and we never work. We are babysitters, we work with a vivid Arci collective in Venice (Metricubi), we dream about future projects, we angst for our portfolios. And then, as common people: book, trips and a lot of time on the internet.

Me. Top-5 places to visit in Venice (every kind of)
SF. 1. The East and magical archaism: the insights of St Mark's Basilica, gold cave-church of pirates, and the outside recently renewed of the north side: the door of the Leoncini, with alchemist medallions. Not far St. Apollonia cloister: another time-space.
2. Night silence and labyrinthic: around Celestia, St Polo, St Giovanni and Paolo (quite everywhere), get lost, spy the secret gardens, behind walls and gates.
3. The green and secret island in the Lagoon: St Erasmo, Vignole, Burano, Torcello ... places where you always want to go without any time.
4. A tour for bacari (traditional bars and taverns), codfish balls and Ombre (wine) to taste all the roughness of Venice.
5. Venetian painting! - optionally: Basilica of Frari, Scuola Grande of StRocco (because of Tintoretto), Scuola Dalmata of St Giorgio (Carpaccio) or the pot pourri preserved in the Gallerie of the Accademia. Special mention for Punta della Dogana, a beautiful museum that hosts contemporary art piece by Mr. Pinault.
We didn't follow the term top-5, we know it. But Venice is an incredible secret condensed place, it requires tenacity and trained legs.

Me. A hidden dream?
SF. Became a real Studio (as Pinocchio). What does it mean we still don't know. By the way - to live on it, to became bigger and bigger, to cooperate internationally, to have a view to communicate. To arouse enthusiasm.

Me. Your favorite blogs or magazines?
SF. Blogs: our light is BibliOdyssey, then also: Book By Its Cover, But Does It Float, Fine Little Day, Le figure dei libri, Vice, for example. Magazines: Corraini's inventory, sadly not much more in paper, we do love paper but magazines are so expensive. Than so late we are deeply Pinterestians and Flickerians.

Me. Is there something I didn't asked?
SF. "My art is really a voluntary confession and an attempt to explain to myself my relationship with life—it is, therefore, actually a sort of egoism, but I am constantly hoping that through this I can help others achieve clarity". (Edvard Munch) and "Taste is matter of ice cream makers".(Pablo Picasso).

Studio Fludd (Caterina, Clara, Matteo, Sara, Valeria)

Ci sono delle persone con cui ci si incontra di sfuggita.
I ragazzi di Studio Fludd hanno partecipato all'edizione di gennaio del Band Loch, desideravo ardentemente che venissero ed ero estremamente felice di saperli del gruppo.
Sono molto interessanti e hanno tanto da dire, ecco perché li ho intervistati! Devo dire che leggendo e traducendo quest'intervista ho trovato molte ispirazioni per i miei lavori di craft.

Io. Chi siete? Potresti dirci qualcosa di voi (il vostro background)?
SF. Siamo in cinque (Caterina, Clara, Matteo, Sara, Valeria), tutti più o meno originari del padovano, tra i 25 e i 27. Ci siamo conosciuti in periodi diversi, chi come compagno di banco al liceo, chi più tardi all'università. Nel 2008 ci siamo aggregati informalmente in un collettivo che prende il nome da Robert Fludd, alchimista inglese del XVII secolo. Ci accomunava (come oggi) una forte insoddisfazione per il contesto estetico delle lande padane e la voglia di una tentare una magica trasformazione di ciò che vedevamo in giro. Dopo i primi passi di autoproduzione artigianale sfociati in mercatini, importante è stato inaugurare l'esperienza del blog. Questo ha permesso di dare al timido Fludd una certa visibilità internazionale, ma è anche diventato uno strumento-pretesto utile per riorganizzare le idee, approfondire ricerche, documentare le varie fasi dei progetti e soprattutto innestare una rete di scambi con altri giovani creativi, attraverso una serie di interviste che hanno portato poi ad incontri dal vivo e collaborazioni, attuate o potenziali. Ora è un momento non facile ma positivamente aperto, comunque di transizione. Geograficamente ci stiamo agglomerando nel veneziano (3/5 viviamo a Venezia), ma nel prossimo futuro chissà, teniamo le valigie pronte!

Io. Siete un collettivo, di cosa vi occupate?
SF. Di progetti che spaziano dal design all'illustrazione, dalla grafica alla moda, dal make-up alle installazioni ambientali. Speriamo di riuscire a tenere insieme i vari aspetti con coerenza e qualità. Ci interessa mantenere un approccio aperto, provenendo da studi affini ma da scuole diverse non ci siamo specializzati in un unico settore. Siamo molto fluidi anche nel modo lavorare – non sempre siamo tutti, a volte agiamo in duo o in trio, a seconda delle esigenze personali e del progetto in questione. In ogni caso ci piacciono le cose ben fatte, a volte è un handicap perché l'autocritica frena un po' l'intraprendenza e la determinazione, ma miglioreremo.

Io. Qual'è la maggior fonte di ispirazione?
SF. Ognuno di noi ha le sue, ovviamente. Quando ci si trova insieme è utile e inevitabile scambiarsele. Si sfogliano libri, cataloghi di musei, foto scattate in giro o raccolte di immagini salvate nel computer. Quando non si ha tempo di trovarsi di persona lo scambio avviene virtualmente. Venezia, a parte tutto, è realmente fonte di ispirazione continua (scusate la parola retrò).

Io. Vi sentite di più designer o alchimisti?
SF. Alchimisti, diciamo. Non per darci arie da fattucchieri retrogradi, anzi. Le nostre formazioni sono diverse: artistico-accademiche per Caterina e Sara, design-grafica per Matteo e Valeria, Clara invece studia moda. Non siamo designers in senso stretto, né dal punto di vista operativo né come forma mentis. L'alchimista che ci piace crede nell'eclettismo, nella tradizione reinterpretata, nei segreti della materia, nelle alte ambizioni, nella serendipità.

Io. Qual'è il primo passo che fate prima di iniziare un nuovo progetto?
SF. Decisamente un ampia raccolta di immagini di riferimento, delle piste visive da seguire. Insomma, quasi sempre si parte dai materiali concreti, 2D o 3D che siano, connettendoli tra loro. Poi ognuno dice la sua e si procede in un ping pong creativo, dove ognuno (quando funziona) trova il proprio ruolo e apporto insostituibile.

Io. C'è qualcuno con cui desiderereste collaborare (qualcuno del passato o del presente)?
SF. Oh sì, è proprio quello che stiamo cercando ora. Molti dei giovani artisti che abbiamo intervistato sul nostro blog, tra cui le brillanti It's Raining Elephants e Hanna Konola. Poi le vivaci Hvass and Hannibal e i nostri vicini Automatic Books.
Ma anche falegnami, scrittori, musicisti, neuroscienziati, insomma altre figure non strettamente connesse al mondo del visivo. Però è maledettamente difficile trovare La Persona Giusta il più delle volte, ma questo si sa. Non è detto che si possa decidere - bisogna essere ricettivi se capita, e poi saper gestire la cosa.

Io. Quali artisti o designer state seguendo nell'ultimo periodo?
SF. In ordine sparso: anonimi medievali, i cataloghi delle ultime mostre al museo Fortuny (Ve), il fotografo '20 Karl Blossfeldt; poi Sarah Illenberger, Carl Kleiner, Studio Toogood e Formafantasma. Le illustrazioni di Laura Carlin, i libri di Planeta Tangerina, la crew Nobrow, ...

Io. Quale pensate che sia il vostro progetto/prodotto di maggior successo?
SF. Chissà. E' piaciuto molto Slow Wood, il panino componibile per bambini, presentato l'anno scorso a KidRoomZoom, evento collaterale del Fuori Salone di Milano. Probabilmente la nostra produzione più significativa sono le collane di legno Materia Prima - ma noi le abbiamo sempre considerate palestra artigianale e oggetti simbolici delle nostre ricerche estetiche e concettuali più ampie.

Io. Big cartel o Etsy?
SF. Etsy ci piace; è un maremagnum, coi suoi pro e contro - è un bel fenomeno globale, una piazza assai vasta dove passa chiunque. Il nostro Bigcartel è ancora un abbozzo, è nato per chi visita il nostro blog. Noi preferiamo avere entrambi al momento; c'è da dire anche che non ci sentiamo dei draghi del marketing (...).

Io. Quando non lavorate cosa preferite fare?
SF. I tempi di lavoro/non-lavoro non sono affatto distinti. Questo momento ha una vaghezza tale che si può dire che lavoriamo sempre o non lo facciamo mai. Facciamo le babysitter, collaboriamo con un vivace circolo Arci di Venezia (Metricubi), fantastichiamo su progetti futuri, ci angosciamo a preparare il portfolii collettivi e personali. E poi quel che fa la maggior parte della gente: libri, cinema, gitarelle, e un sacco di tempo su internet.

Io. La top-5 dei luoghi da visitare di Venezia (di qualsiasi genere essi siano).
SF. 1. Oriente e arcaismi magici: gli interni della Basilica di San Marco, dorata caverna-chiesa di pirati, e gli esterni neorestaurati del lato nord: la porta dei Leoncini, coi medaglioni alchemici. Poco distante, il chiostro di Sant Apollonia: un altro spazio-tempo.
2. Silenziosità notturne e labirintiche: zone della Celestia, San Polo, Santi Giovanni e Paolo (ovunque, sostanzialmente), perdersi e spiare i misteriosi giardini segreti, oltre le mura e i cancelli.
3. Le verdi e remote isole della Laguna: Sant Erasmo, Vignole, Burano, Torcello ... per le quali non c'è mai il tempo e la calma.
4. Un giro a bacari (tradizionali baretti e osterie), per gioia in forma di polpette, baccalà e ombre, e per gustarsi la ruvidezza anarcoide dei veneziani.
5. La pittura veneziana! - a scelta: Basilica dei Frari, Scuola Grande di San Rocco (per Tintoretto), Scuola Dalmata di San Giorgio (Carpaccio) o il pot pourri conservato dalle Gallerie dell'Accademia. Menzione speciale per Punta della Dogana, gran bel museo che ospita pezzi d'arte contemporanea di Mr. Pinault.
Non abbiamo rispettato la top-5, lo sappiamo. Ma Venezia è davvero un incredibile concentrato sconto (nascosto), richiede tenacia e tempo e buone gambe.

Io. Un sogno nel cassetto?
SF. Diventare uno Studio vero (come Pinocchio). Cosa questo voglia dire non è dato saperlo. Insomma - campare di questo, continuare bigger&bigger, collaborare a livello internazionale, avere una visione da comunicare. Suscitare entusiasmi, ecco.

Io. Riviste o blog preferiti?
SF. Blog: il nostro faro rimane BibliOdyssey, poi tanti altri: Book By Its Cover, But Does It Float, Fine Little Day, Le figure dei libri, Vice, per dirne alcuni. Riviste: Inventario di Corraini, purtroppo non molto altro in cartaceo, che adoriamo (cavolo, ma quanto costano le riviste?!). Ah, ultimamente siamo dei compulsivi Pinterestiani e Flickeriani.

Io. C'è qualcosa che non vi ho chiesto, ma che vorreste dire?
SF. "La mia arte è in realtà una confessione fatta spontaneamente, un tentativo di chiarire a me stesso in che relazione sto con la vita. E' fondamentalmente una specie di egoismo, ma non perdo la speranza che grazie ad essa riuscirò ad aiutare altri a vedere più chiaro". (Edvard Munch) e "Il gusto è una questione da gelatai"(Pablo Picasso).

It is not anymore a resume of the week, it is a month report...from the first shy bud to the flower's blossom, in the end it is Spring and in a while it will be my birthday!
I started new crochet projects for Summer and I am already thinking about a wool coat for Winter, a season follows one another.
Night pictures on the bike during the Bergamo Film Meeting, karaoke, bowling and a small trip to Iseo with Raffi, Lara and Anna. Don't forget about Seedbombs, in a while I will show some throws!

Non è più un riassunto della settimana, è un riassunto di tutto il mese...dalle prime timide gemme allo sbocciare di fiori, finalmente la primavera e a breve il mio compleanno!
Ho iniziato nuovi progetti estivi all'uncinetto e sto già pensando di farmi un cappotto di lana per l'inverno, un susseguirsi di stagioni.
Foto notturne in bicicletta al Bergamo Film Meeting, karaoke, bowling e una breve gita a Iseo con Raffi, Lara e Anna. Non scordiamoci delle Seedbombs, a breve testimonierò i lanci!
