On Saturday, October 15 at 7 p.m., Margaret Marshall, former Chief Justice of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court spoke of her landmark ruling legalizing same-sex marriage in Massachusetts and her experiences growing up in South Africa during Apartheid that influenced her commitment to non-discrimination. As Chief Justice, Margaret Marshall wrote that the Massachusetts constitution “affirms the dignity and equality of all individuals” and “forbids the creation of second-class citizens.” The decision in this case, Goodridge, made Massachusetts the first state in the nation to allow same-sex couples to marry.

On Sunday, October 16 the NOH8 Campaign, http://www.noh8campaign.com. set up their studio featuring celebrity photographer and NOH8 Co-Founder Adam Bouska. The NOH8 Campaign is a photographic silent protest featuring subjects with duct tape over their mouths symbolizing their voices being silenced by Prop 8 and similar legislation around the world, with “NOH8″ painted on one cheek in protest.

Boy Scout Troop 5 and Crew 5 hosted their first annual Scout-A-Palooza with water balloon fights, an awesome zipline, rope bridges, caveman golf, and tomahawk throwing and showcased Cub, Scout, and Venture programs. “Scouting is a values-based, outdoors program that helps young people build character, learn how to handle responsibility, develop personal fitness, make friends, and have a great time! Regardless of the client, the science and art of public relations remains the same. A good story coupled with accuracy, diligence, persistence, and some humility – backed by attentive customer service. Killick Capital recently completed financing for their portfolio of aerospace companies. An upbeat story in a difficult economy.
