And as it turned out all this buzz was not in vain.

The show was absolutely grandiose. Victoria’s Secret fashion show was at The Armory – Runway New York City, USA – 19.11.09

The models strutted the catwalk together with Black Eyed Peas live singing. The designs Victoria’s Secret presented this year were fabulous.

The Angels showed off themselves a lot and we understand why, the sets they were wearing were the most perfect anyone had ever seen.

Some designs were nice but simple, some were playful but there were also those which couldn’t be watched without holding one’s breath.

Fantastical feathers, fairy-tale flowers, graceful butterflies, childish balloons, sparkling gemstones and lots of other really wonderful details made the lingerie outfits unforgettable.

And of course there was that most expensive bra embellished with diamonds worth thousands dollars worn by gorgeous Marisa Miller.

The host of the show was Heidi Klum, who had had a baby daughter about a month ago. The supermodel looked fantastic. Her hard training gave terrific results.

The list of other Victoria’s Secret Angels included stunning Alessandra Ambrosio, Miranda Kerr, Chanel Iman, Marisa Miller, Erin Heatherton, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Doutzen Kroes, Candice Swanepoel, Lindsay Ellingson, Liu Wen, Izabel Goulart, Isabeli Fontana,Shannan Click, Flavia de Oliveira, Lyndsey Scott, Aminata Niaria, Caroline Trentini, Ana Beatriz Barros, Caroline Winberg, and Lily Aldridge.

All the girls looked sophisticated, glamorous and sexy. The lingerie Miranda Kerr wore – the black one with feathers and golden super-collar – was the most attractive for me.

Are you surprised? I’m not.

But she does love them so much that her new song is all about those wonderful designer creations.

The new single was appropriately entitled ‘Louboutins’. And of course she must be wearing the most perfect pair at the performance.

To get that the singer has personally met famous shoe designer Christian Louboutin.

The two had dinner together on Tuesday, November 17 to talk shoes – a pair J.Lo will wear at a performance at the American Music Awards.

The photoshoot for Velvet magazine Italy October 2009 is full of colors and autumn is felt everywhere: in the trees, in the grass, even the sun isn’t as bright any more. The mix of red, burgurndy and green in the leaves and black leather on bodies looks amazing.

Speaking fashionably we cannot but mention leather and fur trends as well as lace. They look nice and chic. And super-high heels add a sparkle of glamour to the pictures.

The pieces will be inscribed with poetry and prayers, the singer says.

The girl decided she needed to put her creativity into something else beside music. She has teamed up with the designer Gisele Theriault to make a collection of necklaces that is to become available next year.

She said:

I fell in love with the individuality of the pieces, but more than that, the words that were written on them really resonated with the songwriter in me. I knew at that moment, for the first time, that through a whole other medium I would be able to spread inspiration and that’s what got me started.”

Alicia’s jewelry collection will range from $85 to $2,500.

Gisele was excited about the work as the girls found a “beautiful harmony with each other”.

The designer has signed a deal with publishers Harper Collins and will give readers advice on how to recreate her look.

Lauren, who has her own range of clothing for US department store Kohl’s, comments:

I am really excited to write a style guide. I think fashion should be fun and reflective of who you are. When you wear clothes you feel good in, it shows in everything you do. I know this guide will offer simple, practical tips to help anyone look fabulous.”

Beside tips and advice, the book will contain new and never-before-seen photos of a ‘Hills’ star.

The style guide is set to release late next year.

It has been rumoured that Ungaro’s chairman is desperate to undo a contract with the actress as soon as possible.

As you probably remember Lindsay has been a fashion consultant for the label and helped to create the Spring-Summer 2010 collection. The line was called ‘a disaster’ by fashion journalists and experts. When the collaboration continued it caused a row with chairman Asim Abdullah and CEO Mounir Moufarrige.

A source told the New York Post:

Asim wants her out now. Department stores in the States have already told him they won’t be picking up the line if Lohan remains a collaborator, so it’s a serious issue. Mounir wants to keep her on because it was his idea to hire her in the first place. He’s trying to save face.”

The founder of the label, Emanuel Ungaro, who has no contact with the fashion house since his 2005 departure, said hiring Lindsay was a huge mistake.

He commented:

I am furious, but I can’t do anything about it. It is in the process of losing its soul.”

Well, this information hasn’t been confired by the label in any way. A spokesperson for Ungaro’s chairman denied any rift between him and Mounir.

The representative said:

Such an insinuation is totally absurd.”

But there is no smoke witout a fire. It is quite possible that the actress will be asked to leave. If it happens I’ll feel really sorry for her. To tell you the truth, I do feel sorry for her even now. iIt must be a real pressure to hear these things every day. Hope she won’t act the fool.

But she must have forgotten that 15 years ago she was a staunch supporter of the anti-fur in fashion movement and claimed she would ‘rather go naked than wear fur’.

And now she appears wearing a Dolce&Gabbana coat from their 2009 autumn collection.The coat looks beautiful with huge puff sleeves and jewelled buttons.

Naomi arrived to the premiere of Valentino: The Last Emperor in Milan last night with her billionaire boyfriend Vladislav Doronin. The couple happily posed in front of cameras.

The supermodel used to be a spokeswoman for PETA and once appeared naked in a high-profile poster campaign with four other models in 1994.

But later she was sacked by the charity after wearing real Russian sable fur at a Fendi catwalk show. Her new appearance made people sigh in distress and she even was called a hypocrite by Sir Paul McCartney’s ex-wife Heather Mills who is a true follower of PETA.

However, this didn’t seem to upset Naomi.

She said:

And as for that Heather whatshername [McCartney] saying she’d written to me to complain about me wearing fur and I’d never replied. I never received a letter, nothing.’

And yes, I am still wearing fur, but I’ve made up with that guy from Peta.’

The singer claims she has already started working on the colletion.

I’ve started work on the collection, we are getting it together. It is in the beginning stages. Fashion is something I have always loved,” Rihanna told Grazia magazine.

I love Kate Moss. She’s just hands-down one of the baddest badasses in the land. Nobody can take her down. I really admire Kate because every photo shoot she does is different. Every time you see her there is a different energy that she puts out in whatever outfit she is wearing. I think she is amazing.”

Rihanna is very creative and sees music and designing as those spheres where she can realize herself.

She explained:

I am a very creative person, so it is another way for me to get my creativity out.”

Well, I don’t believe in those singer-designer transormations much. But if Rihanna thinks she can do that we will wait and then appreciate her work.

They are worn in cities to protect eyes from sun, dust and exhaust. And celebrities seem to wear those everywhere and in all seasons to keep incognito and hide from paparazzi and annoying fans.

Ksubi sunglasses are diverse and often extraordinary.

They create a look of an intelligent and very confident person who knows what humour is.

The ad pictures you see here reflect the eccentric feel Ksubi eyewear give to the wearer.

But they do show that no matter what you carry on your head or wear as clothing sunglasses will be the first what other people notice looking at you.

Ksubi company was established in 2000 by a group of professional surfers . It first specialized on making denim clothes. However, shoe and sunglasses lines soon followed.

The CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund is one of such. It is now six years old and offers emerging talents to get noticed and appreciated.

What is less encouraging is that no other country except the US holds this competition.

But as it is getting more and more popular I think we can hope that soon the situaion will change to the better. The U.K. has just launched its own new-designer competition and Italy has similar plans.

Vogue’s editor Anna Wintour is interested in the subject a lot. She said she’d recently had a meeting with the French minister of culture about starting a similar contest in France.

And Brazil, India, Russia, and China aren’t far behind,” Wintour added. But still, she argued, “New York is the place to come for young designers to show what they’re capable of.”

The winners of this year come from different backgrounds. Womenswear designer Sophie Théallet is French. She was awarded the grand prize of $200,000 and a year-long mentorship.

Sophie commented:

I’m French, so I’m going to try to do my best. Thank you for making my American dreams come true.”

Among the runners-up were mentioned jewelry designer Monique Pean and menswear designer Patrik Ervell who received $50,000 each to pursue their designer plans. The former promised, “I won’t disappoint you,” while the latter told the judges, “Thank you for thinking of this award. We all appreciate it.”

You might not know these names yet but it is sure that soon you will. Sophie Théallet, for instance, has already got some recognition for dressing the First Lady for Senator Ted Kennedy’s funeral in August.

And the award she received can become a good start in her career of a world designer.
