Well friends, this is my last post on MIMI+MEG. I will be launching my new site MegBiram.com TOMORROW! I'm so excited, as it feels like a milestone in my career and blog. After almost exactly five years of posting on MIMI+MEG, I am launching a new website and brand, a redesigned blog, switching publishing platforms, and MIMI+MEG will be no more. It was time for a change, update, refresh, growth,

<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/MimiMeg/~4/Rcx9pw6AuNU" height="1" width="1"/>

LINK LOVE

If you've been reading my blog for even a short amount of time, you've probably picked up the fact that I am a Kelly Wearstler superfan. The woman is a creative genius. You may not love all of her designs or think they are livable, but there has to be people in the industry that push the boundaries — or else everything will always look the same and boring. Every time a new season comes around I do a closet assessment. I ask myself, what do I have from last year and what trends do I want to include this year?

Classics can always move forward, and some trends can turn into classics for a few years — chambray anyone? Have you guys heard about Makeshift Society? As their tagline says, it's a clubhouse for creatives to make, learn, teach and think. It's the baby of biz whiz Rena Tom with help from her friends Victoria and Suzanne, and is located in San Francisco... and I'll be there. November 4th, giving my first #GSD Workshop. #GSD (get shit done) goes perfectly with the Makeshift saying above, because you

<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/MimiMeg/~4/PI_Nu7PJHfA" height="1" width="1"/>

INTERIOR INSPIRED // Nate Berkus

Everyone's talking about Nate Berkus... as they should be. He's possibly the sweetest guy in the world (not that I know from experience, but he just gives off that vibe). Sadly his show wasn't renewed for another season. I think it just took him a while to get comfortable because I thought it kept getting better and better, but I'm sure it's opened other doors for him. I went to Texas last month for a Texas BLOG BIZ BUZZ tour, and have yet to elaborate on it! Truth is, my luggage was full (no shocker there as I'm a perpetual over-packer), so I had to mail myself a box of seminar items (okay and maybe a few things I picked up on Texas...) that I wanted to photograph in better lighting than café lighting, and here we are several weeks later!

Working from home, and using public transit, I am a huge fan of comfy chic outfits. Leggings and t-shirts that can be dressed up are huge staples in my wardrobe. This t-shirt has leather detail that takes it to the next level. With this look you could either wear flats or comfortable boots and throw on a comfy sweater, or dress it up with some pumps and a leather jacket like I've shown above.

Self-taught designer, embroidery and literature lover, Olympia Le-Tan, launched her limited edition accessories label in 2009 creating one-of-a-kind handbags and minaudières. I could stare at these for days! Such works of art. I wouldn't know where to store them, bookshelf or closet!? I love it when people create amazing products from their passions in life. What a great example for us all.

<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/MimiMeg/~4/fMZdZoOuSmw" height="1" width="1"/>

HIGH POINT // Drexel Heritage + Thomasville + Hickory Chair

I just returned from High Point Market yesterday. Fun, inspiring, exhausting. I had an absolute blast walking around numerous showrooms with some blogger friends (check out their blogs in the next week for more High Point coverage: Cassie, Caitlin, JulieAnn, Katie, Stacey, Rhonda, and Franki). You can also scroll through the hashtag #hpmkt on instagram to see tons of photos from market.

Todd Nickey and Amy Kehoe merged in 2004 to create Nickey Kehoe, a design firm and a retail shop in Los Angeles. I love their aesthetic and curated products. This is one of their residential projects in Hollywood Hills. So comfy casual cool California, no?

One look at this stationery and I was smitten (and I don't even like to use that word). The simplicity and black envelopes are right up my alley. I'm dying over this new website Besotted Brand. They have gorgeous stationery, cool stamps, and black twine... yes. I'm excited to see what else they have in store.

Don't be confused, it's Thursday. Weekly Faves is just going to move a little. We'll see where it lands. Can we talk about the wire accent table for a minute? I know everyone and their mom has posted it in the past few days, but I get to post it because I actually bought it, and have it in my living room. And yes, it's a pretty freaking sweet deal and a darn cool little accent table.
