So Loved Just The Way You Are

This is a picture of my grandmother, which I am so lucky to still have to have in my life. She is such a funny, feisty and strong woman.

I used papers from a past KOTM from C'est Magnifique kit club. They are gorgeous! I also used lace and flowers from goodies at C'est Magnifique. Here are some close-ups.

Gorgeous lace and butterflies.

I added some modeling paste, starburst spray, and acrylic paint to the background.

I did some hand stitching here.

Sept 12th Sketch Challenge at Stuck On U Sketches

Hi everyone! It's beginning to feel a little like fall weather here in El Paso Tx..so strange. But I'm sure by next week we'll be in the high 90's again. So here we are, with another wonderful sketch challenge from Stuck On U Sketches. This sketch begins today and will run for the next two weeks. Time Flies

This is a picture of my handsome husband. He looked so deep in thought..ha.

We took a drive into the Franklin Mountains and at the top, we parked and I took this picture of him. It was a really great day and relaxing for the both of us.

I used papers from a previous kit from C'est Magnifique. They are so pretty. I misted a mask on the background paper and also did some punching around the edges here and there.

I distressed and inked my papers and also used some burlap in the background which I had in my stash.

The chippies were painted with chalk ink.

I really enjoyed this sketch, it was so much fun to play with.

Happy Friday everyone! We have another great sketch reveal at Stuck On U Sketches for you today. This challenge will run for the next two weeks and the sketch is really fun and super easy to follow. Below is the sketch:

Sweet

This is a layout of my beautiful grandmother and my Tia Lucy.

Since my last layout, was a tribute to my grandpa..I thought, it's grandma's turn to light up my blog! Say cheese....and I was able to get this memorable pic of her.

I used papers from my C'est Magnifique KOTM. And I added some blues mixed in with shades of red to pop off the page.

I painted my chippies with gesso, glimmer mist and coated it with glossy accents. I also used a stencil in the background and traced the diamonds so you can see them better. I added flowers and butterflies.

This is a picture of my grandfather, smiling for the camera he is so adorable.

I used some gorgeous papers from the kaisercraft story teller collection, which I received from my C'est Magnifique KOTM. I added some chippies, ink distressed my paper and faux stitched around the page. I used a TH stencil that I just purchased and painted with liquitex matte gel.

Together ~ True Love

This is a photo of my husband and I at his Hawaiian themed birthday party. We had a great time that day with tons of food, fun and family.

I used papers from my KOTM from C'est Magnifique. I stenciled with gesso and modeling paste. I also did some hand stitching, punching and distressing. I painted my chippies from blue fern studios with chalk ink.

I really like how this layout came out with all the layers.

Hi everyone! Boy it's been a crazy last few weeks. I don't know about you..but I'm so glad the weekend is finally here.

Cuteness

This is such a silly pic of my cousin and myself. I used papers from the C'est Magnifique KOTM. The papers are from blue fern studios..they are gorgeous!

I punched around the page and added some bling. I did lots of layering and distressing. I added curled up pages on the side of the pic and tons of flowers.

I really liked how this came out.

These Memories Will Last A Lifetime

This is a pic of my hubby, cousin and me. It was my cousins college graduation party and I just luv'd this pic of the 3 of us.

The papers are from my C'est Magnifique KOTM. I misted the page and punched the edges. Then I added some burlap to the background and some fussy cutting pieces. I colored my chippy with acrylic ink and placed bling all around the flowers.

3 Little Angels

This title suits the three cousins so well, we think we're angels..but maybe not?? LOL

I used papers from my C'est Magnifique KOTM. They are papers from PION design, very vintage. I added some gesso and painted around the page using a stencil. I also did some distressing and punching. I glimmer misted the page and added a doily I had in my stash. The flowers are from petaloo and from the KOTM. I just love how this layout turned out.

Just Adorable

First, this is a picture I took of my cousin and godson, hanging out and being silly.

Now these papers are just awesome! They are so clean and vintage, it was hard to add pops of color. I tried to keep it neutral, to give it that romantic feel.

Hope I did it justice. The papers are from Pion Design. I added some brads, chippies which I painted and distressed. The flowers and die cuts came with my KOTM from C'est Magnifique. I just loved this beige and simple design.

You Make Me Smile

This is a pic of my DH while we spent time away from home for my birthday weekend. It was super chilly outside, and windy but we still had a great time.

I used papers from my KOTM from C'est Magnifique. The papers are from a Denmark collection called the fall flea market. They are super gorgeous. The flowers are also from the kit.

The sketch above provided lots and lots of layering which I luv to do. I also used moon shadow mist from lindy's stamp gang. I ink distressed the edges and painted the chippies with chalk ink.

In Everyday Life's Beauty Is Hidden

This pic is of my darling grandmother. The papers I used are from my KOTM at Swirlydoos. I painted some of the paper with gesso and liquid pearls. I also did lots of distressing and inking around the edges. The flowers are from petaloo and prima.

I used lots of layers and added some butterflies which I purchased on Etsy from Kay's Kreative Korner. The butterflies are really beautiful in person.

I created this layout using my KOTM from Swirlydoos. This is a pic of my DH being silly. I really love the pops of red all over the paper. These papers are from the Prima Red Romance collection.

I did lots of layering, punching and ink distressing. I also used flowers that came in my kit along with chippies from my stash, which I colored with chalk ink.

This is a layout I created using my kotm from Swirlydoos. It is a picture of my grandmother and handsome cousin. I colored my chippies with dimensional paint and distressed the edges of the paper. I also added some burlap here and there which I think went well with the flowers.

This is a pic of my husband and me. In celebration of Valentine's Day I thought I'd go all mushy on you. Lol

I created this layout using papers from my C'est Magnifique KOTM. These gorgeous papers are from the the Believe line at Manor House Creations.

Here is a closeup. I did some hand stitching, and ink distressing. I also inked and sprayed the paper with glimmer mist.

This is a pic of my mother and brother. I just loved this picture and has become one of my favs of them two. I used papers from my C'est Magnifique kit of the month. The papers are gorgeous, from inkido happy Christmas collection.

I distressed the edges and painted the circle chippy that came in the kit. I also used flowers from the kit and from my stash.

The Shortest Distance Between Two People Is A Smile

This is a layout I created using pic of my hubby and me. I also used papers and embellies that came in my Swirlydoos KOTM. I painted some chippies, punched and distressed, and did some hand stitching.

I also stamp embossed the tags and painted them with distress ink and glimmer mist spray.

Are you a subscriber? If so, your kit is on it's way! If not, check out the Swirlydoos store to see if there are any December kits or add ons in the store!

Here are my projects created using the Swirlydoos' December kit.

This first project is based on this month's sketch (using a pic of my hubby and I).

I distressed the edges of the paper and tucked in some hidden lace here and there. I also lightly misted the background using a stencil. I added some metal brads around the page and added the TH metal word band that came in our kit. I painted the chippy with embossing powder and used lots of embellies.

Here is the sketch provided by our lovely sketch artist Beggahuna.

In this layout (I used a pic of my beautiful mother and handsome brother) I decided to use the lighter shades of white, yellow and green. I did some punching and ink distressing. I also made the large yellow flower using TH's tattered poinsettia die. I fussy cut the ornaments and added some bling to make them look like they are hanging. The background paper has a stencil painted with starburst sprays and also some gold crackling color by viva. I added some resins and chippies and brads.

This final layout I made (using a pic of my family) with two different shades. I did some hand stitching and of course, my paper distressing. The rub-on's and flowers came in our kit.

You have until midnight, eastern time, on Friday 12/6 to complete the hop. Winners will be announced on the Swirlydoos Blog on Saturday 12/7. In order to qualify to win here is what you need to do:

1: Visit all of the blogs and leave a comment on each. This way we know you were there. Become a follower if you're not already. Take your time. There are REALLY beautiful things to see along the way.

2: Before you leave each blog, look for the “special” words and write it down.

Once you have visited all the blogs and collected all the special words, they will create a sentence.

In honor of my beloved doggy Cozmo..I thought I'd do a page with pictures of him when he was a puppy and when he was older with my husband.

We miss him so much, always in my heart and on my mind.

November 22nd Stuck On U Sketches Challenge

I'm so excited for the holidays to come around and all the pictures I get to take of my family..documenting our special moments. And with that said, we have another awesome sketch challenge at Stuck On U Sketches for you to try out! This challenge begins on November 22nd and will run for two weeks. Title: A moment last all of a secod but the memory lives on forever.

This is a pic of my hubby, looking so cute and serious. lol

The papers I used here are from my kit of the month at Swirlydoos. I love them, the greens and neutral colors are so pretty. The flowers also came in the kit. I did some punching, distressing and inking. I also used a stencil where I applied acrylic paint and liquitex glass beads. I added some burlap and ribbon. The photo frames are from kaisercraft that I altered with glimmer mist and chalk ink.
