This blog is in response to someone who is young and naïve, someone who came to me and said, “I want to teach at your Learning Center.” She wants to teach others how to live a prosperous, happy life … yet, she does not experience much happiness and is behind on her rent.

Make an aim to see and then to BE … and then you can aspire to help others where you’ve succeeded BEING. This is my philosophy when it comes to teaching.

The best way I can help this young woman, who came to me asking to teach at the Learning Center, is to help her destroy what is harmful. The misconception that she can teach what she has never experienced is harmful. It is harmful to her and to those who listen to her. The harm done is failure masquerading as success, hoping that will turn a dark night into a bright day.

Misconceptions supply the illusion of being qualified when one is not. What would qualify a person to open a Learning Center and offer classes on how to succeed in life? What qualifies me?

(1) I have made many mistakes on my journey from a small, impoverished mill town to a large state university to a big city where I taught school for seventeen years and then quit to become a millionaire in real estate.

(2) I made even more mistakes when I decided to expand my real estate domain from the East coast to the West coast, and then decided to become a restaurateur.

One of the big mistakes I made on this journey was that I often succumbed to the wrong attitude and mood many times during crucial decision-making moments.

Had I not learned from my many mistakes in high school, my poor attitude, and my many moods, I’d not have successfully been the first person in my family ever to attend a college (coincidentally, I worked my way through college, paying for tuition, books, meals and lodging all by myself – was that a coincidence?)

Had I not learned from the many mistakes I made in college, I’d not have successfully moved from a country college campus to the big city of Boston by myself, found an apartment, and eventually got a job teaching. (I’d never been in any city before, had sixty dollars in my pocket when I moved to the city, no contacts in the city, and no job promise when I got to the city).

Had I not learned from my mistakes while teaching, I’d not have successfully quit a cushy teaching job with tenure, leaving my retirement plan and great health plan behind so I could make millions of dollars in real estate.

Had I not learned from my mistakes, when I plunged into the deep end of the real estate pool (by deciding to become a real estate developer before I’d barely got my feet wet), I’d not have successfully opened three restaurants in the best locations of Boston on a simple desire to do so.

It is the massive action I have taken and the hard-earned lessons I learned from my thousands of mistakes that qualify me to start a business called Mind Adventure Inc. and open a Learning Center where I will offer concepts of prosperity, harmony in human relations, and life-success in every domain of living.

Along with the philosophical concepts, I will offer methods and means of using the concepts in one’s daily affairs so one can accomplish the secret dreams that have faded into the background of one’s mind.

I am a pragmatic philosopher. I am a philosopher in a perfectly practical way. Every one of us is a rich and majestic child of infinite intelligence. Yet, this means absolutely nothing if you do not know how to apply it to your life. I do know how to apply it. I will show you when you take classes at the Learning Center.

When you fail at anything in life – there are steps to take: (1) look for the cause (2) find the lesson being offered (3) correct your mistakes so the same failure doesn’t happen again.

When we live our lives, failing again and again, it’s because history inevitably repeats itself if we don’t inventory our past mistakes and work to correct … not protect. (Correct the mistakes, not protect our delicate egos by coming up with a thousand reasons why we failed).

I have offered some valuable lessons in this blog. It may sound like I am just talking about me. I am talking about you. How have you had breakthroughs? What real and comfy world did you leave to travel into the unknown so that you may recreate yourself anew? That’s what I mean by a breakthrough.

What are you really qualified to teach? Where have you walked through the human jungle and proven yourself king of the beasts, therefore qualifying you to help others? In what areas of your life are you really strong?

Blessings to you, please leave a comment of any nature … it always adds to the depth of the blog.

Thank you & blessings.

The major purpose of the Mind Adventure Learning Center is to invite folks to assemble and support one another to understand what it truly is to be a human being:

I believe the above understanding is a culmination of man’s endless search for something beyond himself. The search is over. The something that we are looking for is an understanding of this truth:

Understanding this Ultimate Understanding places one on a high mental vibration that attunes him to many more supporting truths. You need not understand everything there is to understand about yourself, but if you are to live the glorious life you came here to experience, it is important to understand that you are a rich and majestic child of infinite intelligence. When you thoroughly understand this, understanding the rest is easy.

Speak these words slowly: I am a rich and majestic child of infinite intelligence. Speak them with full meaning in your voice: I am a rich and majestic child of infinite intelligence. Speak them aloud and hear them with mindfulness, not just with your rigid intellect: I am a rich and majestic child of infinite intelligence. Sing the words from the heart until you intuitively feel the tantalizing lure: I am a rich and majestic child of infinite intelligence.

All efforts to understand this first part of the Ultimate Understanding strengthens you. It leaves you with an astonishingly agile mind that enables you to abandon any false image that you’re holding of yourself.

You decide what this understanding specifically means to you. One thing is certain – contemplating it deserves your time and passion. With contemplation, you travel the inner road to higher ground where you unite with your soaring spirit. Your spirit knows this truth about you.

Feel the rightness of what you are reading. The feeling of rightness makes it easy to erase any misleading opinions that try to ground you.

It is great news to understand that you are a rich and majestic child. The mental magic can be used to prove it is true. Infinite intelligence is an endless source of incalculable wisdom and truth. When you understand that you are a child of this intelligence, your mind tunes into universal mind and it’s endless reservoir of enlightenment.

When attuned to universal mind, you cannot help but feel super self-sufficient, which is the feeling of being whole and complete, just as you are. There is something very appealing about this. Would you agree?

This Ultimate Understanding is the fundamental philosophy of Mind Adventure Inc. It is the raison d’etre of Mind Adventure Inc. And the purpose of the Learning Center is to spread the word.

We are used to being human, aren’t we? However, the human beings we are used to being are fraught with thoughts of inadequacy and unworthiness to some greater or lesser degree. Thus, we hear people commonly say, “I’m only human” or “It’s just me.” At the Learning Center, we will conduct classes to ponder the ‘I AM’ that exists beyond ‘only human’ or ‘just me’.

The next time you hear yourself saying, “It’s Impossible” about achieving something … stop and say, “Impossible?… not so. I’m possible, therefore it’s possible.” What’s in it for you when you say this? New possibilities!

Student: What is the ‘I AM’ that’s possible?
Teacher: The ‘I AM’ that is possible is the rich and majestic child of infinite intelligence, and therefore the ‘it’ that is possible is whatever you set your mind to.

Now sing out the truth one more time.

Are you beginning to understand? Be glad when this understanding reveals something very different from what you believe about yourself right now. The revelation is lifting you to higher plateaus of perception.

I’ve only written about the ‘majestic child’ part of the Ultimate Understanding because there is only so much room in a blog. The whole enchilada is covered in my soon-to-be-released book.

Please share your thoughts on this Ultimate Understanding. No one needs to remain timid anymore. Be bold. Speak out! Let us know what this brings to mind for you.

Thank you and Blessings

The purpose is to allow like kind minds to mingle.

Student: What’s the outcome of mingling minds?
Teacher: When two or more minds align with an aim in sight, a Third Mind is created. This third mind contains a powerful dynamic that all of the aligned minds can tap into.

Imagine mingling your mind with other like-kind minds and arousing a common interest to accomplish a singular outcome. When the minds align in the name of the agreed upon outcome, disquieting confusion and doubt quickly dissipates. Each mind is able to plug into the created third mind, and think beyond the usual.

Most ‘genius ideas’ come from the mingling of several minds. Was the Declaration of Independence written by one person? Did Wilbur Wright invent the heavier-than-air flying machine by himself, or did he mingle his mind with his brother, Orville? What about the Marx Brothers – was their comic genius found in only one of them?

‘Genius ideas’ come first as a sensing, as when you feel the rightness of your intuition. Then, by actually talking about the idea with those who mingle their minds with you – you proceed from one illuminating thought to the next. At that point, it is possible to turn the idea over to the created mind – the Third Mind. Then the rewards will come.

The mission of The Mind Adventure Learning Center is to help folks come to the Ultimate Understanding:

Human beings are rich and majestic children of Infinite Intelligence. We are marvelously made, and destined to win at whatever we set our minds to. We are also worthy all that is good and beautiful.

Imagine mingling your mind with other minds with the intention of gaining this Ultimate Understanding. Perhaps it’s a group of real estate brokers who want to gain this Ultimate Understanding so they can generate more sales. Perhaps it’s a group of mothers who want to gain this Ultimate Understanding so they can pass the message on to their children. Perhaps it’s a group of struggling individuals, in all walks of life, who want to gain this Ultimate Understanding so they can turn their lives around.

Seeking to gain the Ultimate Understanding is seeking to gain that which is most valuable to any human being on the planet. It supplies incredible inner strength in all walks of life.

Imagine mingling your mind with other minds, and making it your chief aim to see and be someone who feels marvelously made and destined to win at whatever you set your mind to. Read that sentence again, please. Take a minute to reflect on it. Obedience to truth is one’s first obligation; that is if he wants to ‘win at winning’. The other option is to win at losing. You will win at whatever you set your mind to – winning or losing. How have you been doing with that?

So, that is what Mind Adventure Inc is up to right now. The sale of our new home is complete and is being converted into a Learning Center as we speak. No one is obligated to think like a victim, just because millions of people do.

The Learning Center will help folks bring a new kind of happiness into their lives, a happiness that they never before believed was possible. And Guess what! The Learning Center is located right in the center of the vibrant city of Boston, Massachusetts. It is right across from the famous Jamaica Pond, and it has plenty of free parking. How great is that!

Are you ready to mingle your mind with other minds in the name of gaining this Ultimate Understanding? Are you ready to fly easily over the walls that block you from solving life’s problems? Are you willing to turn your problems over to a Third Mind, created by the mingling of minds? Will you stop insisting that you can find the solutions to your problems by using your old method of logic? If you’ve answered, “YES, YES, YES, & YES,” then your own released light will guide you to the Learning Center. I’ll see you there.

Have you discovered the difference between doing something by yourself and doing something by mingling your mind with others? Will you tell us about it?

Thank you and blessings

This blog is for a friend who I will call “Sam.” Sam is making $65,000 a year as a life-coach; a decent living. Sam asked if we could meet and talk a little about esoteric ideas; he wanted to learn a little more about what it means to go deeper than motivational theories.

Sam appeared calm and easy going, but underneath I could sense a nervous man. As we got into the conversation, he said that he often feels anxious, even though he dresses to the nines and goes into the world pretending to be very happy, confident, and successful.

Sam asked me, “I just want to understand myself so I can understand how life works; Where have I gone wrong?”

I just want to understand myself so I can understand how life works.
I just want to understand myself so I can understand how life works.

The above statement rang through my ears; it is the best wish Sam could ever have; it is the greatest wish anyone could ever have.

I told Sam, “Understanding yourself is more important than understanding principles of success, understanding the keys to happiness, and even understanding God. All of those things will be understood when you understand yourself.”

I told Sam a story that touched me years ago. A woman was thrown into prison in India in the early 1900’s. Because she understood herself, she understood her capabilities, she understood her power. She was absolutely free, and it was obvious to her neighbors.

This woman was gathering large crowds of people who wanted to be in her presence. They were amazed at her easy and loose way of living. This was intolerable to the male authorities in power at the time. Woman were not to hold themselves in such high regard – it’s just custom. One day, soldiers came and took her away in chains.

There seemed no possible way that this woman would ever get a reprieve, be released, set free. However, she knew she was born to be free and her destiny was to live her life as she intended it to be. She was as relaxed in jail as she was in the streets. There is nothing that can interfere when we TRULY know ourselves and know what we want.

This woman had discovered the passage to inner liberty, and within a few weeks she was released to outer freedom; she was set free. How could that be? There was no explanation given; providence seemed to just move on her behalf. She’d designed her destiny to be free; she’d vowed never to do anything just to please others, and she dropped all inner chains of guilt, shame, inadequacy and fear. Outer chains cannot hold the person who drops all inner chains.

I explained to Sam that millions of folks toss themselves in psychic prison; they wrap themselves in chains. Then they search for the key to the prison door by looking for recipes and prescriptions and methods and techniques to pick the lock. Moreover, thousands of people try to set themselves free by reading self-help books and even becoming life-coaches (like Sam). These folks work hard writing blogs, chatting on the computer, tossing inspirational quotes back and forth, but still fear looking foolish or being ridiculed.

I explained to Sam that many folks who become life-coaches, believe that if they work hard to find answers, and work hard to fix others, sooner or later the answer they are looking for will come. However, they do not find the answer they really want because they are always looking outside of themselves.

The problem is this: millions of people seek to understand everything else in life, but they don’t seek to understand themselves, they don’t observe themselves with painful honesty. They wish to find the castle beyond the dense forest, but they do not want to confront the one thing that stops them from finding it – themselves. They cannot get around the obstacle to life’s real treasure because they refuse to say, “The obstacle is ME.”

Student: Why would anyone avoid confronting himself?
Teacher: He is frightened by the discouraging ideas of self that are buried deep in the basement of his mind. The 60,000 NO’s that are heard during childhood rearing, have him believing that he is undeserving of the castle. He believes he is inadequate or unworthy to some degree, and fears that if he confronts this belief, it will destroy him.

Most human beings feel a dull ache as they go through the days and weeks and years of living (relationship aches, money aches, health aches), but refuse to acknowledge it. They stuff it deep and put on an act.

I informed Sam that thousands of ‘life-coaches’ suffer with the same dull aches that he experiences while striving hard to help others improve their lives. One’s real answer is to stop trying to solve everyone else’s problems and ‘solve yourself’.

A wise man told me, “It is said that the best way to find answers is to help others find answers. However, you cannot find answers if you spend all of your time avoiding looking at yourself by looking at others.”

YES, YES, YES, there is something beyond the ache, Sam. Life truly is meant to be a joyous experience, day in and day out; watch children and puppies.

Student: How can Sam make a fresh start in life?
Teacher: A true fresh start requires developing an awakening love for what’s authentic about oneself; it requires wanting freedom from concealed anxiety. Sam’s first duty is to himself. How can a bahing sheep teach others about soaring high in the sky like an eagle?

Recognition of one’s woeful state is the perfect opportunity to begin understanding one’s authentic nature … which is WOW. Your real nature never fears your real nature. Start seeing the difference between the false self and the real self. Voluntarily detect and abandon all thoughts of insufficiency that make you feel insecure and anxious.

It’s the enlightened individual who recognizes that his struggling personality is nothing more than a cheap imitation of what he truly can be. When you recognize this, you meet opportunity after opportunity to prove it is true. Prove it to whom? To YOU!

Student: What’s the first step toward recognizing the cheap imitation of myself that I’ve created myself to be?
Teacher: Recognize that almost everyone you meet is more confused and scared than they show on the surface. Have absolute compassion for them, and realize that you are not alone. Now you can safely walk home; the way will quite naturally come to you.

Blessings

All of your ego’s responses come out of fear. He / she who acts fearlessly, is acting from authenticity (which is different from the ego).

The ego is your coat of armor; it’s what you use to protect yourself. As a child, you started feeling fearful because of the 60,000 NO’s you heard between age two and six. Do you know what you did about that? You created a false version of the original you IN ORDER TO PROTECT YOURSELF.

You created this false version of yourself (ego), so no one could harm your real nature. You were saying to the world, “It’s not the real me that you are scolding – it’s a false version of me … ha ha to you.” Not a bad trick, except most of us never drop the coat of armor; we live our lives from the ego – forever reacting to fear (be it fear of intimate relationships, fear of money, fear of adventure, blah, blah, blah).

You are looking into your ego right now. GOOD! Once you see the basic cause of your ego, life gets easier. Perhaps you cannot shed the ego all at once, like a snake sheds its skin in springtime, but becoming aware of the cause gives you a great start.

Student: So what is the ego – the symptom or the disease?
Teacher: Great question; the ego is the symptom; the disease is the different fears that come with 60,000 NO’s.

The secret to success, when dealing with the ego is this: begin looking at your fears. When I was twelve, I had pimples on my back. I feared that I would be made fun of, so I always wore a t-shirt at the lake, when swimming. There, right there, was my ego (my coat of armor). I decided that I was an individual who made up my own mind … and I decided I would never take my t-shirt off in public, and no one could make me. This decision became part of my ego’s point of view. Did the EGO do me harm, or did the FEAR do me harm?

The ego was simply a symptom of the fear … the fear did me harm; the fear of being humiliated. My coat of armor was to act tough and insist that I think for myself (so nobody’s going to tell me what to do).

So, if you want to recreate yourself anew, don’t fight with the ego; look at the fear that created the ego and deal with that. Why are so many millions afraid of money? They must be – so few have it. Why are so many millions afraid of being humiliated? They must be – so few dare to dance like nobody’s watching. Why are so many millions of people afraid of ill-health? They must be – hospitals are filled with people with psychosomatic illnesses (doctors estimate its as high as 60%).

All human beings experience fear of one kind or another. Perhaps a few don’t, but the rest of us do; this is why we all have egos.

The answer to recreating oneself anew is to accept the fears you have, and decide to work on ridding yourself of them. If you do this effectively, you do not have to deal with your ego; it will vanish on its own. If it has no reason to protect you from fear, it has no raison d’etre (reason for being).

2012 is a great year to begin working on your fears – fear of poverty, fear of loss of any kind, fear of criticism, fear of success, fear of death, fear of loneliness, fear of the world coming to an end (according to the Mayan Calendar). What is one fear that it’s time to work on?

You took on a personality to hide your fears, now take on the courage to look directly at your fears (the fire-eating dragon ‘harrumphs’ and walks away when the dragon slayer confronts him face to face).

With even a small but sincere wish to understand your fear, something cracks wide open – your EGO! Now you see things totally different; you are a little more conscious, which causes more cracking.

What is a fear that gives life to your ego? What do you do to protect yourself from the fear? What past fear no longer affects your attitude or mood? How did you deal with it to vanish it from your psychic state of being?

Have fun with this; leave us a comment. Your insights bring the conversation alive.

Blessings

It is fascinating how a new year begins. It all begins when two hands of a clock meet on twelve. The two hands are one; they are no longer two … and a new year presents itself to you.

The moment when two become one is also considered a moment of enlightenment; a moment when all separation ends and absolute wholeness begins. A new year is an opportunity; it’s an opportunity for you to become one with your aspirations and aims – we call them New Years Resolutions.

What are you supposed to do when you bring in a new year?

Are you to close the door on the old year?

Are you to stop clinging to old ways, and begin living fresh and new?

Are you to enter the new year with empty hands?

In the old year, winning came and losing came … pleasure came and pain came; everything came upon you and retreated in a circular motion.

And where were you?

Were you not in the center of the circle, experiencing all of it?

With 2012 coming upon you, what are you to do with 2011?

Can you clutch to 2011, or does it simply drop out of your hands, leaving you standing, empty of its contents?

Kahil Gibran said that we are all like rivers, flowing toward the vast ocean … and in that moment when the river water flows into the vast water of the ocean, the rivers rich life of a thousand miles dissolves into nothingness. Will this happen to you when you flow into 2012? Will your rich past dissolve into nothingness? Will your miserable past dissolve into nothingness.

If you do not allow 2011 to dissolve into nothingness, how can you enter the new year, alert and sharp, able to manifest your new resolutions?

Are you wonderfully obsessed with knowing the unknown that lies in the new year? Is it more important to you than the known that you’d experienced in the old year?

You can’t go back, so why waste time looking behind you? Why not look ahead of you? You will be marvelously surprised.

It’s always good advice to drop the old, to lighten the load, so you can jump on something new. This is what it takes to make one’s life an exciting adventure.

What will you do to jump on the new in 2012?

What will you let go of to make your New Years Resolutions come true?

When there is a choice, will you choose the unknown (the risky, the dangerous), or will you choose to do what you always do?

Please let me know what this blog brings up in you.

Happy New Year.

With the holiday season upon us, I would like to talk about God for a moment. Have you ever heard the account of when Ramakrishna and Vivekananda met? Do you know who they are? Google them if you don’t – okay?

Well these two enlightened men met at Rama’s abode. The conversation turned to God. Vive was a logical man; he only believed what he could use his intelligence and ‘reasoning skills’ to prove was true. He said, “There is no God. You cannot possibly prove it, and so I don’t believe it.”

Rama was not nearly as educated with books as was Vive, and he lived with his intuitive sense more than his reasoning mind. Rama said, “My intuitive sense says there is a God, and so … no matter what intellect you use to disprove the existence of God, I will still believe GOD IS.”

Rama went on to say, “My intuitive sense tells me that GOD IS, as surely as it tells me when I am hungry or I am tired. I trust my intuitive sense; I do not need to turn to intellectual debate to determine that food or sleep is needed.”

Vive felt discouraged with the conversation and began to frown. He said, “I’d hoped the conversation could go deeper than this.” Rama said, “Would you like me to show you God? Would that help you see my point of view?” Rama replied, “I’d love it; show me God.”

Rama got up and danced like a child, on and on for an hour. He did cartwheels and back flips in his joyous demonstration. At the end of his dance, which entranced Vive, Rama touched Vive, and Vive fell into a deep, quiet sleep.

Upon awakening, Vive experienced himself as a transformed man; he was in a state of absolute jubilation and sensed an ultimate well-being had overcome him … unlike anything he’d experienced before. He embraced Rama, and said, “YES, there is a GOD … GOD IS.”

This is what GOD IS … GOD IS this absolute state of jubilation, which is what you feel when you let go of erroneous notions and the subsequent drama these notions bring upon you.

GOD IS the ultimate sense of well-being that you feel when you allow the truth about your incredibleness to sink into the deepest part of your consciousness. This experience is God … and you only have it when you allow your naturally intuitive sense to guide you … and it can only guide you when you let go of all that hinders you from experiencing the supreme truth about you.

It is the Holiday Season.

Allow the real purpose of this season to touch you.

Give yourself as many opportunities as possible to Let Go and Let God.

Don’t look for outside authorities to help you.

Go within.

Allow the WHOLE of you to embrace you … if you do, you will intuitively find yourself dancing like Rama danced … you will find yourself feeling like Vive felt when he came out of the deep sleep.

What say Ye?

What can you add to this post to spread the holiday joy?

You have something valuable to say; please say it.

Blessings,

rob

Have you read Leo Tolstoy’s story about three saints that lived on an island in a lake that was in a remote part of Russia? These saints made the lake famous. People were very excited about the miracles these saints were performing. There was a buzz going around all of Russia. Thousands of folks were coming from all over, to see these saints.

Eventually the high priests of the Russian Orthodox Church became concerned about these ‘rumors of saints’ at the lake. They’d not been declared saints by the church, so who was giving them this title? How dare they!

The high priests sent a team of three priests to the lake to investigate the matter. The team of three priests had to take a rowboat to the small island where the so-called saints lived.

When they finally located the three saints, they saw three poor men in simple garbs, just sitting at the shore of the island. It was clear that they were poor, but indeed they were very happy. They were putting their toes in the lake water and delightfully giggling.

When the team of three priests approached them, the saints jumped up and bowed down to the priests in great admiration. One priest angrily said, “What are you doing here?” Another said, “Some people foolishly claim that you are saints.” The third priest said, “do you even know how to pray?”

The three saints looked at each other, and one said, “We are sorry, but we do not know the prayer of your church.” Another saint said, “However, we have a prayer of our own; may we demonstrate it?”

One of the priests angrily said, “Go ahead, what is this prayer that you say.”

One of the saints said, “We came to this prayer when we thought of God as a trinity – ‘God the father’ … God the son … and … God the holy ghost” Another saint said, “So we came up with this prayer.” Then all three saints chimed in, “GOD YOU ARE THREE, … AND SO ARE WE. HOW ABOUT IF WE THREE AND YOU THREE TEAM UP AND THEN THERE ARE SIX OF US WORKING TOGETHER.”

One of the priests became enraged. He shouted, “This is nonsense; it’s blasphemous; you are not saints; you are stupid fools!”

The saints said, “Please sir, then teach us the proper prayer so we may communicate with God.”

One priest immediately went into dialogue and spoke the official prayer of the Russian Orthodox Church. It was long. It was bombastic. It was filled with big words.

The three saints looked at each other. How could they possibly learn that? One saint asked, “Sir, will you repeat it again so we can try to learn it?”

A second priest repeated the dialogue with pomp and circumstance. There was a pause, and then one of the saints asked, “Please sir, just one more time.”

The team of three priests looked down with scorn at the three saints, and briskly walked back to their rowboat to travel to the mainland and tell the high priests that these three men were nothing more than stupid fools; they certainly were not saints.

As the priests rowed off … when in the middle of the lake, they could not believe their eyes. There were those three men, that they’d call stupid fools, running across the top of the water toward their boat; one of them shouting, “Please sirs, tell us the prayer one more time; we’ve not yet quite got it.”

The three priests fell to their knees in the boat and one said, “Please forgive us, for we know not what we do.” Another priest said, “You continue with your prayer.”

This story touches me. It tells me not to allow any organized religion, government, or social order to tell me how to think. Tolstoy did not believe in ready-made patterns of thought. If he did, he’d not have been the creative genius that he was.

When you speak to the infinite, speak as you want to speak. Go deep inside and say what your heart wants to say. Let no man tell you there is a programmed way to reach the almighty power of infinite intelligence.

Become your own genius. YOU ARE MARVELOUSLY MADE AND DESTINED TO WIN AT WHATEVER YOU SET YOUR MIND TO. Please set your mind to achieving the beautiful life you once dreamed of experiencing. Begin now, thinking this way this holiday season.

Please know that you are worthy of all that is good and beautiful. Please share this feeling … spread it around; help others to feel this way about themselves. Now that’s the spirit of true giving. What you give away, you get to keep.

Let me know how Tolstoy’s story has touched you. What does it bring to mind? What lesson can you glean from it? How might you interpret it?

Thank you & blessings

I have learned over the past many years that life has its own logic. I’ve also learned that life moves on its merry way unfettered by man’s logic. And most importantly, I’ve learned that I have to learn life’s logic if I intend to float gently down the stream of life.

Man is not listening to life’s logic when he takes some erroneous notion (like the world is flat or the sun rotates around the earth), and turns it into his so-called ‘logical belief’. All so-called ‘logical beliefs’ (logical to man but not to life), eventually cause problems. I used to believe that cutting corners was a shortcut to success. I cannot begin to tell you how many problems this illogical belief caused me. Life is meant to be a joyous adventure. “It is either a joyous adventure or nothing,” said Helen Keller. She was a wise woman. In spite of the fact that life is meant to be a joyous adventure, life does not intend to give you all of its logic at once. After all, if life did that – there’d be no adventure!

Part of the wonderful surprise of life is journeying into the unknown. There would be no ‘unknown’ if everything made logical sense right from the start – right? If there is no unknown, there are no surprises … what kind of life is that? What if the cave man simply walked out of the cave with all of the logic and common sense he needed to invent machinery that gave him gas fired heating systems and electrically charged air conditioners and flat screen televisions, and the means to install dishwashers in his cave? It would all have happened in the first 100 years. What about the sense of triumphant victory that comes with years and years of hard work trying to simply figure out how to invent the wheel or work with fire?

The beautiful ‘fragrance of life’ that children smell, is their awareness of the incredible amount of things going on around them that make no logical sense to them. Children love going into the unchartered sea of life, don’t they. We’re all still children when it comes to making sense of all that life includes.

In the beginning, there is no logic to any of it. This is what makes the journey an exciting mystery. The intelligent person asks many questions, and listens for answers that work in life. The unintelligent person asks few questions, and settles for answers that he can lazily convert into beliefs. At one time, there were tribes that sacrificed virgins in order to satisfy the Volcano God. How’d that ‘illogical belief’ work out?

What illogical beliefs are you clinging to? In what domains of your life are you suffering because you refuse to let go of erroneous notions that you consider logical and true? Here is a sample of a notion that I had to let go of: I’d read books that convinced me that I could simply ‘think something into manifestation’? Do you believe this notion is logical and true? Many folks do. For example, how many folks spend hours on their computer building a virtual reality out of wishes and dreams; however, they never get out of the house and act on them, they never muster up the courage to DO what they have to do to make their dreams come true?

I’ve met many folks that believe ‘thinking is all it takes to succeed’. I still meet them; they’ve lost confidence in themselves because they believe it’s them that’s flawed, not the belief. These folks cling to the erroneous belief that The Law of Attraction will fulfill on their dreams if they wish and hope long and hard enough.

The folks that insist that The Law of Attraction should go into action without them taking personal action, no longer have the courage to travel into the unknown; they no longer dare go out into the world and DO what it takes to help The Law of Attraction fulfill on their dreams. They cling to an illogical string of beliefs that say, “What I hold in my mind will come true in my life”. Well, that just ain’t so, otherwise everyone would be millionaires, or live in mansions, or travel around the world to exotic ports, or discover the solution to cancer, or come up with a system to feed all of the hungry children in the world.

Do you feel upset in any way by this post? If you do, then there’s something in the post that is challenging one or more of yours beliefs. Dig deep. What might that be?

Self-rescue from illogical beliefs requires energy. You save valuable energy by not clinging to notions that are not part of life’s logic.

I’ve learned, over many years, the reason old lingering dreams and yearnings have not manifested in my life. It’s because of erroneous notions that I’d converted into hardened beliefs, and insisted were logical and true.

There was a time when I believed, “I cannot design my earthly destiny; I am not smart enough, I was born on the wrong side of the tracks, and I don’t deserve to do so.” I had to apply Real Knowledge to this ‘crisis thinking’ to break it. Real Knowledge is light … and light offers life’s logic … and life’s logic is what one needs to live the life one dreams of experiencing.

What say you to this?

What might you add?

What illogical belief might you once have been clinging to?

Have no doubts – life’s logic is always healing medicine!

Mind Adventure Inc. hosted a tent at the fair, and invited Jk Allen (Hustlers Notebook) to come as our guest. Nick (Mind Adventure’s resident artist), and I had great plans for what we would achieve with Jk in Miami. (See all images here.)

The beauty of introducing two new books (my third book and Jk’s first book), was filled with fantasies of an adventure of newness, freshness and flow.

Everything was in order; hotel rooms reserved right across from the ocean, flights coordinated so everyone would merge and mingle at the airport at the same time, Books sent ahead of time to the hotel. And then … life has so many surprises that it is never boring, is it?

I scratched my eye, a few days before the weekend. I needed to have my eyeball stitched (I didn’t know they could do such a thing), and had to wear a contact lens as a bandage, to protect the scratch from infection. I had to put drops in my eye several times a day. Thank God for modern science! I also had to visit the ophthalmologists daily to cleanse my eye and change the contact lens. AH, the trauma … I never wore a contact lens before; I don’t wear glasses!

The beauty of facing unexpected events, unprepared … is profound. Intelligence is limber; it is flexible when relating to reality. Unexpected events give life a whole new hue; they open the world to brand new interpretations, new meanings. One never quite knows, ahead of time, what lessons life intends to teach.

I went from a state of knowing what was going to happen at the Miami Book Fair, to a state of no-knowledge. This is why children learn so beautifully; they remain in a state of no-knowledge during the incredible years of learning to walk, talk, read and write. The child’s mind is as fresh as dewdrops every morning.

I felt like a child once again. I was eager to hear how Nick and Jk were doing at the book fair without me. I would call and get an accounting of what was happening, and I made it a point to enjoy the conversations like a fresh breeze. It certainly was very different from what I’d fantasized would happen (with me there!).

The fact that the ‘book fair weekend’ wasn’t happening as I planned, gave me a wonderful sense of humor about my organized plans and positive affirmations. My sense of humor allowed me to become aware of the beauties and treasure found in circumstances that were far from what I’d anticipated. I owed it to myself to have a deep penetrating look at what I was experiencing.

There is divine poetry in life, always. The sun rises and shines on every circumstance equally. Trees blossom and flamingos dance in Florida, while I have my scratched eye cleansed and sit in pouring rain up North – the marvel, the mystery of all of it.

I realized that I need not go anywhere but INSIDE MYSELF to find how this scratched eye serves me. It became apparent to me that organized planning is just the surface of our being; it occurs at the conscious level of the mind. Insights come from intuition, they occur at deep level thinking, from the center of our being.

From this ‘missing the book fair’, I realized that problems arise only from misunderstandings, and there was something greater coming out of this loss (if I allowed it). The true purpose of missing the book fair is that that there are going to be some marvelous changes occurring in the Mind Adventure mission, and it will reflect in the website; changes that will take Mind Adventure’s intent to the next level. This dawning would not have occurred if I’d not been sitting at home nursing my eye.

A STORY: A frustrated person heard of a place called celestial heaven. Everyone there was self-fulfilled; they experienced abundance of every nature … and that is because they gave themselves over entirely to ideas that came from their center. This person gathered all of his treasured belongings, and ventured to the gates of celestial heaven. The entrance was narrow. He heard a voice from deep within. This voice said that he must leave all of his treasured belongings behind if he was to enter: “To enter the new, you must first abandon those treasured beliefs and opinions, and false ideas that hamper you.”

Might I suggest that you consider purchasing a copy of the pre-publication edition of my new book, Marvelous Denials & Wonderful Obsessions; there is something in this book that will help you turn deep within and seek earnestly to know your purpose for being here on this planet. When you know your raison d’etre … you will know what it means to knock … and a fabulous life shall be opened to you.
