Call for Presenters?

The question on everyone’s lips, or at least many peoples’ keyboards, is “Have I missed the call for presenters?” ~~You have not. It will be sent out this coming week.~~ UPDATE: We just sent it out, the morning of January 31. If you would like to submit, use the “Submit a Session” button under “Sessions”, above.

If you want to be sure you don’t miss the call, however, please click on the “Subscribe to the Mindcamp Email List” button in the left margin. Follow the prompts to ensure you are signed up for the list called “Call for Presenters”.

We’ve finally worked out our rates for 2012… and you will be amazed by what we’ve been able to work out! Here’s what’s on offer:

A beautiful new site with improved accommodation
Lower rates for the first 50 individual registrations before April 1
The possibility of a 5% rebate for early payers, thus saving even more
Secure your space with a $100 deposit instead of having to pay the full amount up front

But the registration system we’ve worked out over the past 9 years has had to be revised to reflect new offerings, new rates, and a deposit-and-balance-due approach. So this post is coming out before any of our mailings, and it’s an invitation: register now! Test the system for us! And you’ll be rewarded by our incredibly low rates for early birds.

We expect those first 50 spots to go quickly! In a week or so we shall start sending out staged mailings, first to people who helped us with our Mindcamp 2012 Survey, then to alumni, then to our general mailing list.

The Earliest Birds

Mindcampers Maxx Kochar and Sandra Hantziagelis* stole a march on the rest of the world two weeks ago by registering for Mindcamp 2012… before registration was open!

They found a stray “register now” button on the site (how did it escape?) and next thing you know we had two registrations, complete and paid for at 2011 prices. So we accepted them. At 2011 prices… why not?

For the rest of you, registration will open in a few days, with some nice surprises! Stay tuned…

Mindcamp 2012 Site Visit

Babyspotting

Baby Sol had a wonderful time at Mindcamp 2011. He could be seen all over, in a wide variety of sessions, and in the loving and attentive arms and/or care of a wide variety of new and old friends — as well as, of course, his own mom, Ginny.
