PROJECT BRIEF

In a groundbreaking collaboration with Exeger, VusionGroup proudly presents the EdgeSense Series, a seamless integration of Vusion’s advanced ESL technology with Exeger’s innovative Powerfoyle technology. This cutting-edge fusion enables the harvesting of ambient light to power Electronic Shelf Labels (ESLs) and sensors, setting a new benchmark for energy efficiency and sustainability.

Our task was to visually represent this partnership by combining an EdgeSense Rail with Powerfoyle, highlighting how the technologies work together from a product perspective.

OUR APPROACH

To capture the essence of this innovative collaboration, we developed a sleek and minimalistic 3D animation that reflects the sophistication and forward-thinking nature of the project.

The animation showcases the seamless integration of Vusion’s advanced ESL technology with Powerfoyle’s light-harvesting capabilities, emphasizing the elegance and classiness of this union. With a focus on delivering a high-quality visual narrative within a short turnaround time, our design embodies the future of technology-driven sustainability, combining modern aesthetics with timeless appeal.

PROJECT BRIEF

Meeting the high standards set by director Matthäus Bussmann and Schweppes is always a challenge. Working with liquids adds an extra layer of complexity, as droplets gather on the glass, and there isn’t always time on set to ensure everything is spotless. As a result, cleaning up these elements in post-production became one of the primary tasks for this project.

OUR APPROACH

A major task was optimizing the readability of the labels, which involved 3D object tracking of the iconic Schweppes bottle, as well as rendering and compositing. In addition to these, we handled typical VFX tasks, including digital set extension of the swimming pool and removal of the drone shadow. A commercial like this demands the perfect product shot, so we enhanced the bottles in compositing, utilizing different takes and lighting setups.

Additionally, we completed the following tasks: clean up of liquid drops from glasses, 3D object tracking of the iconic Schweppes bottle, 3D rendering and compositing of labels, compositing different takes for the perfect product shot, retouching labels for improved readability, removing unwanted objects from the skyline and set extension of the pool shot.

PROJECT BRIEF

Helmi has been an icon of road safety education in Austria for decades – friendly, educational, and instantly recognizable. For the relaunch of the new website (helmi.at), the popular character was to be brought to life digitally for the first time.
Together with the client, the Austrian Road Safety Board (KfV), and our partners Futura GmbH (project management) and Probots GmbH (technical and creative implementation of the website), we created a new online world that combines information and interaction in a playful way.

Our contribution: the first fully digital 3D versions of Helmi and his friends – with great attention to detail and a clear goal: to make the character appear so real that he feels familiar to viewers, even though he is now digital.

OUR APPROACH

Since Helmi had been present as a physical puppet in TV commercials and schools for decades, the biggest challenge was to translate his familiar look into 3D without losing the charm of the original. Therefore, we worked closely on the classic shapes, proportions, and facial features to ensure that the digital Helmi seamlessly connects to his analog past.

3D characters on the web not only have to look good—they also have to be lightweight, efficient, and high-performing.

To ensure that Helmi runs smoothly on tablets and smartphones, we relied on an optimized 3D pipeline:

Minimized data volumes: The models were reduced so that they retain their characteristic details while consuming little memory.

Small but precise textures: Through targeted baking and low-poly optimization, we were able to achieve realistic surfaces with minimal file sizes.

Clean rigging and animation structures: To ensure that the digital Helmi looks natural but can still be rendered in real time in the browser – without long loading times.

The result: A highly optimized 3D character that fits seamlessly into the interactive website developed by Probots and works smoothly even with limited bandwidth or older devices.

In addition to the web assets, we produced a standalone video in which the new Helmi strolls through Graz – a tribute to his origins and, at the same time, a preview of how versatile the digital Helmi can be, from social media to event projections.

The new Helmi is more than just a modernization—it is the next logical step in the digital evolution of a classic.
From a cute character to a high-performance 3D character: familiar in appearance, future-proof in technology.

PROJECT BRIEF

Andritz AG, one of Austria’s biggest engineering groups, approached Mindconsole with the task of creating an industry film that gave an overview of their Power Plant maintenance activities and the various packages they offer to clients. The product offered by Andritz which encompasses these services is called “Synergy”.

OUR APPROACH

We accompanied Andritz’s technicians from their journey of an enormous plant shutdown in Eisenhüttenstadt, Germany. We began at Andritz’s HQ in Austria, where various parts & spare parts were being made, followed by 5 seperate trips to Eisenhüttenstadt over the course of two months. During each visit, we captured the progress that had been made by the Andritz team – beginning with the asessment of the existing plant, through to the replacement of necessary “super-parts” – including a 30-Tonn “Z-Evaporator” which was to be lifted into a gap with just centimeters clearence on either side – a task never attempted before.

The result of this mamoth film production is an Industry Film like no other – a cinematic documentation of many months – if not years – of work by the Andritz and ProPower team. The industry film is used regularly by Andritz’s marketing and sales departments to showcase their work to potential clients.

PROJECT BRIEF

Biotronik, a company that develops life-changing medical equipment and implants, wanted to create a compelling Explainer Video animation to showcase their company culture and the many advantages of working there.

OUR APPROACH

The animation for Biotronik is an Explainer Video designed to target potential new hires seeking not only a great working environment, but also a meaningful career path. It highlights Biotronik’s commitment to both its employees and its mission. By working at Biotronik, you have the opportunity to be part of something bigger than yourself, contributing to advancements in medical technology that improve lives.

We used handcrafted illustrations to create a visually engaging and informative Explainer animation. Our team managed the entire production process, from concept development and scriptwriting to animation and final editing.

The final Explainer animation effectively communicates Biotronik’s employer branding message. It showcases a positive work environment while emphasizing the impactful nature of the company’s work in the medical field. This Explainer animation serves as a valuable tool for Biotronik to attract top talent seeking a fulfilling career.

Russmedia, the media house behind Interactive West, a forward-thinking conference focused on tech, future, work, and AI, tapped us to create a visually stunning event opener animation to kick-off their 2023 event in Vorarlberg.

OUR APPROACH

We weren’t just tasked with the opening animation, we delivered the complete event content package.  Our animation, a blend of 3D and 2D elements, showcased the conference’s diverse range of topics, the impressive lineup of speakers, and the exciting networking opportunities that awaited attendees.

Our experience in producing animation for large screens ensured that the content would be impactful and engaging for the Interactive West audience. 

The Interactive West 2023 event opener animation effectively set the stage for the conference, igniting attendee interest in the dynamic world of tech, future, work, and AI.  This project further solidified our expertise in crafting immersive content for large-scale events.

PROJECT BRIEF

Vusion Group, an international leader in retail technology, approached us with the task of creating a stylized 3D animation that would visually showcase the full scope of their product offerings.

The goal was to craft a compelling and accessible narrative that illustrates the entire retail lifecycle—from local sourcing, stocking shelves to implementing digital solutions, and ultimately to sustainable home delivery. It was essential for Vusion that the animation highlight how each step in this journey is enabled by their innovative technologies.

The animation itself should have warm and optimistic feel to it, giving a positive outlook on the retail of the future.

OUR APPROACH

To ensure alignment with the client’s vision, we began by gathering a range of animation references to communicate our proposed visual and stylistic direction. Once the overall tone and style were agreed upon, we developed a detailed storyboard outlining each scene and the key visual elements involved. This was followed by the creation of an animatic, which allowed us to define the pacing, transitions, and overall flow of the animation early on.

After client feedback and revisions, we moved into full production. This phase involved the end-to-end development of the animated world: creating a diverse cast of stylized characters and designing expansive, fully realized environments from scratch—including a supermarket, a farm, and a modern family home. Each setting was crafted to reflect the distinct stages of the retail process.

One of the biggest challenges was creating a vast collection of character animations in a quick and effective way, we combined motion capture data with handmade animations to be able the get nice looking results and iterate quickly.

The final result is an engaging, informative animation that highlights Vusion’s technology as the silent enabler behind a smarter, more sustainable retail ecosystem.

PROJECT BRIEF

Bubbles Film came to us to complete the online edit / onlining for their online campaign series for Mastercard.

OUR APPROACH

After liasing with Bubbles, we developed a workflow with which the onlining of this project could take place in the most efficient way possible. Raw media, graded media, project files, GFX assets, audio mixes and more were used to piece together the final renders for this series of clips. Our post-production team also created screen replacements for the variety of phone screens that needed content to be added or changed completely.

The campaign series ran on a variety of online streaming platforms including Amazon Prime, Dentsu and Netflix.

PROJECT BRIEF

In this project, we were honored to contribute our expertise to the Eucerin “Gold” campaign, which included several TVCs as well as Social Media assets in various Formats. Our role encompassed the crucial final stage of production known as “onlining,” which involves refining the video content through minor corrections, and other enhancements to ensure it was ready for broadcast. Additionally, we were tasked with creating extra Visual Effects (VFX) to further enhance the commercial’s visual appeal and storytelling.

OUR APPROACH

This experience highlights our expertise in enhancing commercials through sophisticated post-production methods. By focusing on luxury, seamless integration of VFX, and meticulous attention to detail, we successfully contributed to the “Gold” campaign, reinforcing its message of confidence, ageless beauty, and premium quality.

PROJECT BRIEF

We were happy to provide our post-production services to these three beautifully shot and edited films for Gore-Tex. The main film features Gore-Tex’s testing labs in Germany to show off the extreme conditions they test for.

OUR APPROACH

The two additional films tell the story of how their products enable street photographer Jennifer Bin to create her work. The films were used as brand experience advertisements and were shared on all official Gore-Tex social media channels in September and October 2019. The films needed some “fine-tuning” in post-production to meet the vision of the client & director. It was of utmost importance to give the city a general Asian appeal without being too specific in regards to the original location, so our job was to alter the landmark buildings of the various skylines accordingly.

Advertisements and religious buildings also required special attention. The list of work that had to be done included set-extensions, sky-replacements, advertisement and logo removals, transformation of skylines/skyscrapers, addition of rain, breath and removal of people.
