I’ve been blessed to pay school fees, cover medical expenses, and support those in need. But I’ve also faced abuse, criticism, and scepticism from those who disapprove of my activities. Still, I’m driven by a deep sense of purpose rooted in Biblical teachings.

Samuel And Beatrice Adegbulu Support Fund (SABSF)

The Samuel and Beatrice Adegbulu Support Fund (SABSF) is a charitable initiative my wife and I established in 2024 to honour my late parents.
“…Jesus, …who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross…” (Hebrews 12:2)

I had a serious back problem some years ago. It was so bad that I did all my routine activities in pain. In pain, I sat, walked, slept, climbed stairs, shaved, washed, etc. My work suffered greatly too!

As you might expect, I went to my GP, who gave me some strong pain medicines and sent me out to do some tests. No doubt, he attended to me well. But the more he did, the worse my condition became. The pain was the cross I had to endure!

I went to more doctors with time, and all of them said I needed surgery to put my back right. It was to be a complex one with a poor outcome. From it, I could be paralyzed from my waist down. I did not want to do it, but I had no choice. I was in too much pain, and I needed a break.

Some days before the operation, I took my car to a garage for repairs. But I left my wallet at home. That means I had no money on me. So, I trekked nearly four miles back to my house as I could not hire a taxi. The pain I felt as I walked was beyond words. I cried out to God to help me!

After a while, I realized I could walk a little better, though I was still in pain. I was thrilled, and I moved on! Then I decided to walk, pray, and fast daily from the next day, believing God to finish His good work on me. Guess what! I walked better and with less pain day by day.

In the end, I didn’t have the operation, for I healed completely. I endured my cross and focused on God, and it paid off! With ease, I now walk, sit, sleep, climb stairs, shave, wash, etc. Praise God!

We all have our crosses. While some are small, others are big and hard to bear. They include job loss, bad luck, and lack. Also, among them are barrenness, sickness, and grief. Others are wars, disasters, etc.

Which cross are you carrying now? Is it too heavy for you? And are you planning to give up on it? Please, don’t; endure it! Pray about it without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17), and have faith that you’ll be fine, even if nothing backs your position now (2 Corinthians 5:7).

Before long, God will deliver you (Psalm 50:15), and you’ll have joy in your life again (Psalm 30:5) in Jesus’ name. Amen.

“…I will restore health to you, And heal you of your wounds, says the Lord…” (Jeremiah 30:17)

I loved playing football as a young boy, but I was not good enough to make it into any serious team. However, I played with my mates from time to time, and I made sure no one messed up around me.

But most times, some boys outpaced and outclassed me. And each time that happened, all I heard in my head was REVENGE! REVENGE!! REVENGE!!! Then, I wasted no time in rough tackling and injuring them!

One day, I faced a smaller boy than me at our local football field. He played for the opposite team, and He was very good. He scored many goals against us and made a big mess of me that day. Without wasting time, I went all out to injure him.

But he was too fast, and I hurt myself badly in an attempt to injure him. I sustained a big wound on my right knee, which put me out of action for several weeks. Moving around was a big deal for me during that time.

The wound healed after a while but left an ugly scar behind, which pained, itched, and worried me for a long time. It has now disappeared; thank God! I no longer have an ugly, painful, and itchy scar troubling me.

Physical wounds are common; we all have had them at one time or another. While some left ugly scars that remained for a long time or forever, others healed well and disappeared with time. These days, doctors help people manage their wounds.

Apart from physical wounds, we also have emotional wounds, which are unseen. They are harder to manage and often accompany life events like abuse, the death of a loved one, ill health, job loss, a broken home, violence, wars, etc.

Emotional wounds affect people more than physical wounds and take longer to heal. They remind us of our difficult times. They help us avoid our past mistakes. They also make it possible for us to guide others better when they need us.

God is excellent at healing wounds; you can’t fault Him (Ecclesiastes 3:14). Do you have a wound that you are dealing with right now? And have you done all that you could to it all to no avail? Are you fed up and about to give up on it? If you are, please, pay attention to me.

First, realize that wounds are common. They affect people everywhere, so you are not alone. But they don’t last forever (2 Corinthians 4:17), and they won’t overwhelm you (1 Corinthians 10:13). Besides, they are to benefit you in the long run (James 1:2-4, Romans 5:3-4).

God wants to heal your wound (Jeremiah 30:17) through Jesus Christ (John 14:6). Please, note that God equipped Him for this task. (Acts 10:38) Therefore, pray to Him about your wound today. Maybe you did so before, and you are yet to see any change in your condition.

Or you feel God healed you earlier, but your wound has now returned. Don’t worry; pray to Him again; He is not tired of you (John 6:37). He will heal you once more (Matthew 11:28), and you will have reasons to be grateful to Him in the end in Jesus’ name. Amen.

The Lord’s Prayer is a very popular aspect of the Bible. Many people learned it by heart while growing up. You can find it in Mathew 6:9-13. Verse 10 says:

“May your Kingdom come soon. May your will be done on earth, as it is in Heaven.” (NLT)

This write-up shall focus on the phrase Kingdom in the Lord’s prayer. Two words, King and Domain, fused, to make it. While a king rules over a place, his domain is where his words carry the utmost weight. And when he arrives at a location, often with a part of His Kingdom, his power shows, and activities begin quickly.

God is the King in the Kingdom of Heaven. He goes around with His Kingdom! Like earthly kings, God can be invited by individuals, communities, nations, etc., for one reason or another. But He heeds peoples’ invitations only through Jesus Christ (John 14:6).

If you invite Him into any area of your life today, as the Psalmist did, He will come with His Kingdom. Power will then manifest, and good things will begin to happen to you. For example, you will enjoy:

Joy

In Acts 8:4-8, Phillip preached Jesus Christ in Samaria, and the people accepted him and took to all he said. In a way, they asked God to bring His Kingdom into their land. In the end, they enjoyed great joy.

If you lack joy in your life as we speak, please, invite God to bring His Kingdom into it. He will not ignore you, and you will enjoy great joy after in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Calm

In Mark 4:35-41, Jesus Christ and His disciples were in a boat on the sea. A big storm soon began, and Jesus was fast asleep. They had to wake Him up to save them. He arose and rebuked the storm. In short, God took His Kingdom into their situation through Jesus Christ, and there was a great calm soon after.

Is your life or anything about you being threatened by a ‘storm’ lately? If it is, ask God to bring His Kingdom into the picture, and there will be great calm in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Salvation

Zacchaeus (Luke 19:1-10) was a tax collector and a crook. He knew Jesus Christ was coming to his area. So, he joined the crowd to seek Him, but his short stature hindered him. He had to climb a sycamore tree to view Him. When Jesus reached it, He looked up and asked Zacchaeus to come down. Next, He followed him home and gave him salvation. That is, Jesus took His Kingdom to his life.

Jesus is also ready to take His Kingdom to your life and give you salvation. He wants you to be born again if you are not yet! After doing this, then you can boldly invite Him to bring His Kingdom into your troubles. He won’t say no, and you will have joy, calm, healing, protection, salvation, etc., afterward. Besides, you will make it to Heaven at the end (John 3:3), in Jesus’ name. Amen.

“…Go and wash in the Jordan seven times, and your flesh shall be restored to you, and you shall be clean.” (2 Kings 5:10)

Naaman was the commander of the army of the king of Syria. He was a great man who won battles for his country. But, he was a leper, a limiting and degrading disease. As one might expect, he did all he could to overcome his ailment, all to no avail.

One day, a female servant in his household suggested that he go to Israel, her country, and meet a Prophet named Elisha who could cure him. She gave her advice through Naaman’s wife! One thing then led to another, and he did as advised.

Naaman met the prophet in Israel and expected him to do some magic or make some landmark pronouncements before his healing could take place. But the man of God did none of both. He did not even come out to meet him face to face. He simply sent words to Naaman thus:

“Go and wash in the Jordan seven times, and your flesh shall be restored to you, and you shall be clean.”

Naaman felt slighted and wondered why he should wash in River Jordan while his country had better rivers. He refused to do as told and went away in a rage. But his servants urged him to change his mind.

He later did and washed seven times in the Jordan, and his flesh became like that of a little child. His problem was solved once and for all! ‘Go and wash’ was a clear instruction to Naaman, which He obeyed and got healed.

It should come to your mind, too, at any time God tells you to do something. Are you having some issues in your life right now? Are they so bad that you can’t even discuss them with anyone?

And have you done all you could to resolve them without success? If you have, now is the time to approach God for help. He will tell you what to do. Is He asking you to change your job for a new one?

Is the Lord asking you to accept a marriage proposal from someone? Is He telling you to acquire a new skill or start a new business? Is He nudging you to write a book, compose a song, or produce a movie? Is God asking you to set up a ministry or serve Him in a specific way? ETC.

If He is, He wants to solve your problem once and for all. He wants you to move from where you are to where He wants you to be, that is, a better place. Please, obey him! GO AND WASH!! Maybe you ‘washed’ before, but things haven’t changed for you; don’t worry, ‘WASH’ again.

If you do, before long, you will have rest (Matthew 11:28), safety (Deuteronomy 20:4), plus joy (Isaiah 35:10). You will have strength and peace too (Psalm 29:11). And God will heal your broken heart (Psalm 147:3). He will promote you (Psalm 75:6-7 (KJV)), and you will prosper, for that is His wish for you (3 John 2).

Not only that, but your children will become mighty and blessed (Psalm 112:1-2 (NIV)), and you will also be called blessed (Malachi 3:12), in Jesus’ name. Amen.
