E quante raccomandazioni su quel ristorante, quel libro, quel pezzo di pizza ci potranno mai dare, statisticamente, per esperienza diretta? Se passate, ingresso libero, e buffet (credo).&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Mercoledì 16 sarò allo IULM per una lezione ai partecipanti al &lt;a href="http://www.socialmedialab.net/" target="_blank"&gt;corso Social Media Lab.&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Mentre &lt;b&gt;domenica 26&lt;/b&gt; il valoroso Pierluca metterebbe a disposizione la casa (con piscina, eh) per una riedizione rurale, nella campagna a 3 Km da Ferrara (possibili navette dalla stazione), del &lt;b&gt;Marketing Bar(becue)Camp&lt;/b&gt; di cui &lt;a href="http://www.minimarketing.it/2007/05/eravamo-13-amici-al-barbecuecamp.html" target="_blank"&gt;l'unica edizione passata fu nel maggio 2007&lt;/a&gt; (ci divertimmo molto a dire il vero). Update: la nuova edizione si potrebbe chiamare "il Marketing alla griglia".

vi dirà mai</title><content type="html">&lt;p&gt;12) che Twitter sta al social media expert come il CB sta al camionista (e oltretutto non vi diranno che in Italia ci sono molti più camionisti che twitteri)&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;11) che il numero di follower di un qualsiasi social network è comunque insignificante per fare massa critica di vendita. (Mentre a volte la qualità dei follower non lo è)&lt;/p&gt;10) che buona parte delle campagne 2.0 sono rivolte al cliente "interno" e non al cliente esterno

&lt;p&gt;9) che tutti gli improvvisi e immediati amici della vostra nuova Fan Page di Facebook sono in realtà amici delle persone dell'agenzia, o concorrenti che si scambiano reciprocamente il favore di iscriversi alle Page dei clienti - e quindi, per così dire, sono amici loro, non vostri, sono amici in prestito.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;8) che con clienti stupidi e disinformati, la pubblicità stupida e disinformante funziona benissimo&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;7) che la quantità di click sul tasto Hide, che i vostri nuovi amici useranno per non essere interrotti dalla vostra Fan Page, non è misurabile, esattamente come chi fa pipì durante gli spot TV&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;6) che invece di pagare l'agenzia (che paga uno stagista) per scrivere pensierini per cinquanta aziende come la vostra, sarebbe più efficace dedicare veramente 15 minuti alla Fan Page e regalare *vera* utilità&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;5) che se non avete utilità da regalare, non serve nemmeno l'agenzia&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;4) che creare una Fan Page occupa circa cinque minuti di lavoro, moderarla dieci minuti al giorno, ma renderla di successo cinque mesi di dedizione&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;3) che se siete burocratici e formali, la rete sociale non fa per voi&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;2) che dovreste classificare le spese di agenzia per la cura dell'account Friendfeed come spese &lt;a href="http://www.advertiser.it/Glossario.aspx?i=M" target="_blank"&gt;Merchandiser&lt;/a&gt; e Vetriniste, non conversation 2.0&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;1) che ormai il 90% delle aziende ha una Fan Page su Facebook, ma il 90% degli utenti non se n'è manco accorto.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Io, come Owyang, ritengo che sia utile, non ultimo perché sul blog il dominio è proprietario, e non usufruisco della &lt;i&gt;gentile&lt;/i&gt; ospitalità -- soggetta a revoche e condizioni di uso mutevoli -- di quello del social network o della piattaforma che mi ospita, cosa che mi ricorda sempre i tempi (in)gloriosi di &lt;a href="http://www.geocities.com" target="_blank"&gt;Geocities&lt;/a&gt;)&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Sono convinto che il blog, il mezzo sociale con il rapporto di appartenenza più sbilanciato in assoluto verso chi lo scrive, ma comunque aperto agli altri -- anche perché nel 2009 in realtà &lt;i&gt;tutto è commentabile,&lt;/i&gt; anche i blog senza commenti -- sia ancora un fattore essenziale in una strategia di branding, sia perché esistono enormi aree molto arretrate nel ciclo evolutivo della Rete, in cui la potenza di attrazione del lifestreaming non è (ancora) rilevante, sia perché non bisogna mai dimenticare che bloggare serve spesso &lt;i&gt;principalmente&lt;/i&gt; per essere &lt;i&gt;trovati, più che per essere seguiti.&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Naturalmente, non a tutte le aziende o le persone serve davvero una strategia di reputazione, alla maggior parte basta -- in estrema sintesi -- non sentirsi soli, e questo spiega perché molti hanno mollato il blog per un più veloce, utile e comodo social networking.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Il SEO e Google sono però la vera porta di ingresso, il &lt;i&gt;subscribe-me&lt;/i&gt; di quelle fonti personali o aziendali, magari utili, di spessore, interessanti e differenzianti, ma che non hanno e non avranno mai la forza attrattiva necessaria per essere seguiti con regolarità dalla maggior parte della propria audience potenziale, non tanto per propri limiti tecnici o di bontà di esecuzione, ma proprio per le tematiche di cui parlano, che possono &lt;i&gt;interessare molto in alcune circostanze ma in modo discontinuo&lt;/i&gt;, tale da rendere improbabile il follow continuo via RSS o altro.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Per questo il blog, estremamente favorito nel SEO rispetto per esempio ad ambienti sostanzialmente chiusi come Facebook, e sia pure con modifiche nella forma e nei suoi legami con gli altri ambienti sociali, è qui per restare, e ancora per un bel po' di tempo.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Ma attenzione, dimostra anche che c'è un'unica precondizione di base allo scatenarsi di questo potere dirompente (e &lt;a href="http://friendfeed.com/scobleizer/73d1f617/if-friendfeed-is-blocked-in-iran-why-are-there" target="_blank"&gt;no, non è la presenza o meno di un qualsiasi firewall telco-graded&lt;/a&gt;): &lt;b&gt;questa precondizione, nel 2009, è che le persone siano abbastanza motivate/incazzate/affamate e che siano nate in maggioranza dopo il 1979&lt;/b&gt;.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Mi spiace mescolare le vicende tragiche e serie alle mie vacue elucubrazioni di marketing, ma è anche una lezione per le organizzazioni aziendali, sia nelle situazioni in cui &lt;i&gt;vogliono&lt;/i&gt; che &lt;i&gt;qualcosa&lt;/i&gt; accada, sia quando &lt;i&gt;vogliono&lt;/i&gt; che &lt;i&gt;qualcos'altro&lt;/i&gt; &lt;i&gt;non&lt;/i&gt; accada.&lt;/p&gt;

Dice che il suo ROI è molto più elevato ora di prima, per il passaparola generato e la soddisfazione dei clienti -- che al contrario delle sue aspettative non ne stanno abusando -- (cioè, lui non dice proprio così perché non ha fatto la Bocconi, quindi si capisce meglio ;), ma il significato è quello).

nei social media</title><content type="html">&lt;p&gt;Pare che negli USA anche i guru della conversazione ormai lo facciano per interposta persona, cioè fatalmente la relazione bidirezionale si trasforma in broadcasting in outsourcing, quando il numero di contatti diventa ingestibile. &lt;p&gt;Il fatto è che quando passi da un blog (o una pagina di Facebook) letto da cinque persone a un blog letto da 50.000 persone, il mezzo si trasforma indipendentemente dal supporto tecnologico, e diventa nient'altro che un altro mass media unidirezionale, ben poco &lt;em&gt;social&lt;/em&gt;, perché e' impossibile interagire con tutti (o interagisci superficialmente con tanti, oppure in profondità, ma solo con pochi contatti, o un mix dei due).&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Anche &lt;em&gt;l'influenza&lt;/em&gt; esercitata si trasforma di conseguenza: chi mi consiglia un prodotto o un servizio (o se' stesso, come un politico) non e' piu' un "amico" o "contatto" o una relazione ma un "testimonial", un qualcuno famoso che &lt;em&gt;sponsorizza&lt;/em&gt; qualcosa, ma che non rischia nulla nell'eventuale mia insoddisfazione relativa, al contrario di un mio &lt;em&gt;vero&lt;/em&gt; amico o contatto in un piccolo gruppo interconnesso. Se a livello totale la sua influenza è alta, si divide pero' in 50.000 piccoli rivoli, spesso insignificanti se rapportati all'universo di ogni singolo follower.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Se ne facciamo il reverse engineering e lo trasliamo nel mondo aziendale, era un po' il senso di quando scrivevo&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Se è la quantità che volete, comprate pubblicità e fate broadcast. E' più serio, efficiente ed efficace, e di questi tempi vi viene via a prezzi da saldo. Se è l'ascolto, la conversazione e la communità che vi interessano, mantenete i numeri relativamente bassi, e interagite veramente.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Inquadratura - fine grande presentazione su Wikinomics, Blog, Power to the people, valore della conversazione, ROI dei social media, entrare in contatto con i propri consumatori, influencer...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Prospect: - Figata 'sto 2.0! Me lo fate voi?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Agenzia: - No.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;P: - Ah, ah, voi giovani consulenti 2.0 siete proprio simpaticoni, così easy, così smart! State scherzando, vero?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;A: - Guardi che io ho quasi 40 anni eh. Comunque no.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;P: - Oh. Perché no?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;A: - Perché non possiamo avere la vostra passione per le attività che fate voi. E per scrivere un blog serve passione, si ricorda? La faccia umana da mostrare, la trasparenza, la...&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;P: - Ah, ma la passione per quella roba non l'abbiamo nemmeno noi, se è per questo - ah, ah! Cioè, magari 20 anni fa, ma poi siamo stati comprati da una multinazionale di Minneapolis e la produzione ora è in Romania.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;A: - Ma scusi, e i vostri prodotti come li sviluppate?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;P: - Ah, beh, tanto son sempre quelli da anni. Una ritoccata qua e una là. I clienti comprano da noi perché sanno che tutti i prodotti sul mercato sono uguali, ma sono troppo pigri per cambiare fornitore.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;A: - Capisco. E incentivare la discussione tra di loro per capire come cambiare il prodotto, e magari innovare? Non so, una wiki privata in cui...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;P: - Ma noi siamo i leader di mercato, mica ci facciamo fare la strategia dai primi che passano!&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;A: - Ma non sono i primi che passano, sono i veri appassionati che potrebbero...&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;P: - Si figuri, i nostri clienti sono degli analfabeti digitali (ah, ah!). E poi non abbiamo tempo, ho l'ufficio marketing in cassa integrazione. Cosa possiamo fare secondo lei a questo punto?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;A: E cosa mi dice di quel convegno di 2 giorni su Enterprise 5.0 a Capri organizzato dalla Ermst Teloitte Old Arckentour BDG &amp;amp; Partners? E le 200 slide che producete a settimana: potreste usarle per comunicare in modo diverso.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;P: - Ah, beh, ma che c'entra scusi, la formazione è importante, come anche la pianificazione, sono attività &lt;em&gt;core&lt;/em&gt;. E poi non c'è la prova provata del Return On Investment.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;A: - Per quali investimenti calcolate il ROI?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;P: - Beh, per la verità, al momento, nessuno. Tanto investiamo sempre sulle stesse cose da 10 anni, eh e sappiamo cosa funziona. Ma sa, invece queste cose futuribili hanno bisogno di un calcolo preciso del ROI.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;A: - Ma, quindi...&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;P: - Idea. Non potete costruirmi un algoritmo che scientificamente dimostri la validità dell'investimento 2.0, determini la quantità di risorse e le modalità tecnologiche e di interazione più adatte, con una probabilità di successo del 95 per cento, tarato con precisione statistica al 99%?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;A: - Ah, per questo non c'è problema. Glielo possiamo fare, sono circa 500 giorni uomo, le vengono via a 250.000 euro, scontato 50%.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;P: - Mi sembra buono, e per quella cosa della passione ecc. ecc.?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;A: - Per quella, possiamo consigliarvi una società di consulenza, che per soli 50.000 euro vi farà un audit propedeutico del clima interno.&lt;/p&gt;

  &lt;p&gt;Sono in grado di sostenere che ogni (neo)papà possa collocarsi in un grafico in cui alle ascisse (X) stia il livello di pigrizia (intesa in senso fisico, motoria), e alle ordinate (Y) il livello di creatività.&lt;/p&gt;

  &lt;p&gt;Esiste quindi una linea retta che demarca il grado minimo di paternità di successo, che avviene in pratica quando il livello di pigrizia viene almeno eguagliato dal livello di creatività. Qui sotto la rappresentazione grafica.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Ok, molti sanno della mia &lt;a href="http://www.minimarketing.it/2008/09/capitale-sociale-whuffies-roi-bond.html" target="_blank"&gt;personale venerazione&lt;/a&gt; per il &lt;a href="http://www.slideshare.net/pondga/lagenzia-20-un-ossimoro-workcamp-parma" target="_blank"&gt;percorso professionale di Citizen Agency&lt;/a&gt; e umano di Tara Hunt (dal marketing tradizionale alla fuga verso qualcos'altro, il che ha un qualcosa di autobiografico, con le dovute proporzioni s'intende)&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Tara ha pubblicato un &lt;a href="http://www.anobii.com/books/The_Whuffie_Factor/9780307409508/010eab55f2dbfb71ef/" target="_blank"&gt;libro&lt;/a&gt;, che aspettavo da tempo e che &lt;a href="http://friendfeed.com/gluca/f2185106/whuffie-factor" target="_blank"&gt;ho comprato&lt;/a&gt; su Amazon.de appena disponibile, e che sto leggendo ora, il cui contenuto mi conforta enormemente, essendo molto coincidente (ma naturalmente molto più dettagliato e circostanziato, e ovviamente anche qui con le dovute proporzioni che esistono tra un'opera editoriale e un e-book scritto molto di getto) con quanto scritto nelle &lt;a href="http://www.minimarketing.it/2008/12/il-libro-di-minimarketing-online.html" target="_blank"&gt;91 tesi&lt;/a&gt; a dicembre.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Per chi non conosce il libro, è incentrato sul passaggio progressivo da un'economia basata sul capitale monetario, a un'economia basata sul capitale &lt;em&gt;sociale&lt;/em&gt;: in estrema sintesi il &lt;a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whuffie" target="_blank"&gt;whuffie&lt;/a&gt; (la valuta di conto del capitale sociale, introdotta da &lt;a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whuffie" target="_blank"&gt;Cory Doctorow&lt;/a&gt;) dipende dalla moltiplicazione di (be nice*be networked*be notable). E questo capitale sociale deve essere accumulato sia dalle persone, che dalle aziende.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Questo per dire che da groupie dovevo inventarmi qualcosa per farmi autografare il libro: allora le ho scritto, raccontandole chi sono e cosa faccio, ho fotografato la mia copia (doveva essere proprio la mia, no?), l'ho caricata su &lt;a href="http://www.dabbleboard.com/draw" target="_blank"&gt;Dabbleboard&lt;/a&gt;, e ho chiesto a Tara di autografarla usando lo strumento freehand :) e lei con molto senso dell'umorismo (che solo gli scrittori americani hanno, bisogna dirlo) o forse apprezzando la creatività della cosa, l'ha fatto. Questa la sua risposta, e soprattutto la dedica a mano libera :)&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.gaspartorriero.it/2009/05/il-giornalismo-sul-web-non-e.html" target="_blank"&gt;Cosa dice Gaspar&lt;/a&gt;? In sostanza che il giornalismo online è sostenibile ma i giornali online no.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Apriti cielo, guardate che roba (&lt;a href="http://friendfeed.com/gluca/003e9848/il-rapporto-tra-visitatori-e-dipendenti-delle"&gt;su FF&lt;/a&gt;). Istigato dal solito &lt;a href="http://www.infoservi.it/" target="_blank"&gt;D'Ottavi&lt;/a&gt;, ho disegnato una matrice basata su due direttrici (ansia e livello degli utenti). &lt;p&gt;Poi un giorno le prede hanno iniziato a comunicare tra loro su come sfuggire alla caccia, e quindi ora servono sempre più armi per catturare sempre meno prede.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Il nuovo marketing è la pesca: capire quale pesce c'è nello stagno, quale ci interessa, quale amo e quale esca utilizzare, pasturare sapientemente (non troppo e non troppo poco), utilizzare tutta la fiducia e la pazienza per aspettare, a volte per ore, che il tappo scenda, usare tutta una lunga tecnica di ingaggio per riuscire a tirare su il pesce.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;La pesca è uno sport tremendamente noioso, si sa, niente bum bum bum. Non è per tutti. E in aggiunta il nuovo marketing utilizza la tecnica del &lt;em&gt;catch&lt;/em&gt; &lt;em&gt;and release&lt;/em&gt;, in modo che il pesce lo dica agli altri simili - che non lo avete mica mangiato.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;E io, cercando della carta di riciclo per impacchettare un oggetto da spedire via Ebay, ho ritrovato una ricerca di mercato, costosissima immagino, che indicava come un servizio (un social network, per la precisione, e anche questo, costosissimo e da sviluppare ex-novo) creabile (e poi creato) da una mia ex azienda sarebbe stato &lt;em&gt;assolutamente/probabilmente&lt;/em&gt; un successo e ne indicava pure le &lt;em&gt;key feature&lt;/em&gt;.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Ovviamente, il servizio creato a partire da quella ricerca di mercato, dimenticandosi completamente dei feedback degli utenti fino al lancio definitivo, è stato un mezzo flop ed è in &lt;a href="http://www.willage.it" target="_blank"&gt;coma vegetativo&lt;/a&gt; semi-abbandonato.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Se ci pensate, quasi ogni realtà di successo in Rete è stata creata senza un vero business plan, e senza ricerche di mercato teoriche, o con scopi iniziali totalmente diversi, adattandosi giorno dopo giorno alla Rete stessa, agli utenti stessi, ascoltando gli appassionati.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Naturalmente questa evoluzione tramite ascolto è una condizione necessaria, non sufficiente, a volte il salto verso una dimensione maggiore, o verso la profittabilità non accade comunque. Ma nel momento stesso in cui parti piccolo, la morte di un servizio non è un problema. Tutto si ricicla, si ricrea, si rifà migliore. Risparmiando i soldi in focus group e analisi teoriche chieste al telefono o distrattamente fluite in uffici dai vetri semitrasparenti, su dati estrapolati da campioni &lt;em&gt;dio solo sa&lt;/em&gt; come composti.&lt;/p&gt;
