Not done reading the book yet so here is a summary: Most of us have no idea where we're going most of the time. Perfect. Celtic Christians had a name for the Holy Spirit-An Geadh-Glas, or ‘the Wild Goose.' The name hints at mystery. Much like a wild goose, the Spirit of God cannot be tracked or tamed. An element of danger, an air of unpredictability surround Him. And while the name may sound a little sacrilegious, I cannot think of a better description of what it's like to follow the Spirit through life. I think the Celtic Christians were on to something....

Just got an email from a lady at Random House publishing saying that I was selected to review a pre-release copy of Mark Battersons new book Wild Goose Chase. I am excited, I heard about the possibility about a month ago and emailed to say I was interested but did not think I would get the opportunity, after all who am I?

It's not that I have A.D.D, it's just... Hey look at the bunny.

Just saw this great article talking about our attention spans and how they have changed over the years. Some of the points listed talk about how the Internet and T.V. have created a culture of quick info which is not completely bad but how do we use this knowledge to attract and educate better?

So I was thinking about what types of tools can the church use to expand it's outreach. We are now seeing multisite churches, internet churches and podcasts which is so cool and mostly unimaginable just 10-15 years ago. I began to wonder what other technologies will help expand outreach over just the next couple of years. One thought I had was...

Ok, last time I shared a lot of information regarding Business Intelligence and how, in my opinion, churches are run like a business more now than ever due to the Megachurch phenomenon. This concept led me to thinking about Church Intellegence and how it is a paradigm shift that I think should be seriously looked at by churches. As some may know I have been a Business Intelligence professional for over 10 years now. Most of this has been done for the banking industry but I have also spent some time in the mortgage and packaging industry also. In the past year or so I really started thinking more about the idea of what I like to call Church Intelligence . I am going to do what will probably be a 2 or 3 part series on this due to the amount of information we could possibly get into.
