Ok seriously I'm going to try to keep this up to date more often. Sold my red srt-4 because it was getting too many miles and bought a Black srt-4 because I love these cars. Re installed stage 3 and still don't have it running correctly, but I did hit a 110 mph trap at gateway last tuesday. Thats pretty quick. After I get a spool issure resolved hoping for 12's and 114-115 trap speed. Then I'll be done. WOW biggest thing thats happened in my life as of late is my FIRST HOME PURCHASE! I love it compared to renting and I bought a foreclosure so it needs a little work. I do have some before pictures posted on my website www.nathanp.com Hopefully I can get some after pictures up soon of the Living/Dining/Kitchen. It looks a lot better already.

Longest wait for a update yet! Anyway I did finally get my stage 3 kit on 10-21-05 after 4 months of waiting. I love it, although I had a problem with my car and I'm still trying to figure out the cause. Id take it to the dyno once and it put down 344hp and 359 torque at the wheels. That's corvette power in a srt-4! Ok gotta run.

Ok I did decide on a modification to my SRT-4 and I decided to go all out on my first one. Mopar Performance Stage 3R w/toys. Should be good for 355Hp and 365 Torque with Race Gas and 310HP and 325TQ on pump gas. I ordered it 7-21-05 and I'm still waiting. I'm guessing it will be here next month sometime. I'll have a ton of pics to update when I get it.

Really busy at work

Ok, sorry for no updates in a while, but I've been very busy at work and just doing summer things. SRT is running great still, already cleared 10,000 miles so I've put nearly 3,400 miles on it in less than 2 months; not good. I may have to get another beater to drive back and forth to work. I did make another modification already as well. I changed out the stock shifter with a maddog short throw shifter. This thing is awesome. It reduced the throw of the shifter by 50%. Thats forward and backward and side to side motion reduced. It feels great and should help with my power shifting skills when I get Stage 1 or 2. I'm trying to decide between Stage 1 or Stage 2 right now. One things for sure. I will be doing a fairly major mod to the car within the next 2 weeks. Here's a few of the things I'm considering now:
Larger Intercooler, Blow off Valve, 3" turbo back exhaust, stage 1, stage 2 with toys, manual boost controller, and a few others. I would say the exhaust and stage 1 is leading my thoughts right now. Check back soon to see which I did. I should have pics as well.

Ok again I know a long time since update, but not much has been going on really. Of course now that I have a new car I'm a little paranoid to spend any money on toys. Plus now at least for a while I'll be thinking of toys for the srt. I did do a few things to it already very minor. First was to change out the front turn signal bulbs, they are amber and make the whole surrounding reflect amber. So I changed them out with some chrome ones that really clean up the look of the car from the front plus when they light up they are still amber! I don't like the people that simply make their blinkers white for this reason plus that's illegal. I'll post some pictures above this post comparing the two. I also added a 4 gauge ground to the engine head and it seems to have smoothed out the idle a little and now the lights don't dim as much when you use the power windows. No horspeower mods yet, but they are coming soon. I'm torn between getting stage 1 now or saving a little while for stage 2. Haven't played paintball at all as it's way too hot now. I did meet up with a neighbor that got one of the first Cobalt SS's in the st. louis area and we went out and had some fun. The SRT is a little faster than the cobalt stock vs stock, however I'm sure we will both be modding so we'll see what the outcome is next time we meet up. OK gotta go and I'll try to post some pics right now.

Ok as you can see from the pic below I did purchase my first new car Monday. I love it. It's fast, not too bad on insurance or gas and I got a great deal on it. It has 6,400 miles on it which is no different than new to me. It's equipped with sunroof, front & side airbags, Stock boost gauge, racing pedals, turbo, front mount intercooler, dual exhaust, 17" wheels, functional hood scoop and spoiler, limited slip differential, and a lot more, but I don't want to write a book. This thing sounds great too for a 2.4 liter four cylinder. The turbo definitely makes it sound cool, but the exhaust is the main reason. It has a cat and then a couple resonators, thats it, no mufflers. You would think it would be obnoxiously loud, but it isn't. Just very raspy and deep! I'll have more pics up soon on my website http://www.nathanp.com and maybe even some racing videos in the months to come(digitally created of course ;-)) Alright back to work I go.

Ok, whats going on with me? Work, Summer, and of course hobbies. I've been paintballing a few more times and seem to be getting better each time. Last time I went I had my Anti Chop bolt installed for the first time and only got through one game and then had all kinds of problems. It was blowing paint back up into the loaders! I still have not cleaned out my loaders because I've been too busy playing tennis and doing other "summer" things. Just upgraded my wireless network to G from the standard B. Don't really need the speed, however both B and G are very picky on interference and if you have things that cause interference around(apartment complex) then it slows your maximum bandwidth. My b was probably only connecting at like 1 mbit per sec where now my g is connecting even with interference at like 10-20 so it's a big improvement. I also hard wired the xbox downstairs into my network and left anne's xbox upstairs on wireless which should help things also. Well now my main concern is getting a new car. My best friend got one and now I have the bug. Of course because of where I work and the deals I can get I'm looking at the SRT-4 and yes yes I know it does have a NEON body! However it is dressed up quite a bit with ground effects, spoilers, hood scoop, dual exhaust which makes it look good and then when you get down to the nuts and bolts of this thing, NOTHING IS NEON. Believe me I know, I've tested this car thoroughly in the 2 years I've worked for Zeiser Dodge. I get to go to Chrysler employee only training sessions and see this little car whip up on cars that cost 4 times as much. Put stage 3 on one of these and you have yourself a 11 second 1/4 mile car and you thought they were joking when they say the SRT-4 is the "mini-viper". Anyway, I'm trying to just make myself pull the trigger on another car payment, but it's not easy. Who knows, maybe I'll be posting pics of my new car next update. Wait and see, but don't cross your fingers, I've been thinking about this for over a year now(I really like owning my car and no payments) Later!
