Spinnakers taps a cask of ale every week day at 4:00pm in the pub upstairs.

For an extraordinary dining experience, you can arrange ahead of time (give them a week if you can plan that far ahead) to have the sommelier create a tasting dinner at the kitchen bar. He will pair beer or wine, or even both if you want. You definitely want to come with an appetite.

Pretty amazing that she is still doing this and battling cancer at the same time. On a similar note, I was at the Yukon River Quest last week, a 740 km race between Whitehorse and Dawson City, and met the ladies from “Paddlers Abreast” who are all breast cancer survivors who race together in a big voyageur canoe. Pretty cool.

you missed covering one of the better acts of the day, The Fab Before on the 2010 stage at 12:30. They were a late edition but put on a great show as a teen beatles Tribute act. they will be at fusion fest so check them out!!

Happy Canada Day !

As a Brit i came to Canada several years ago to start a new life. Now i have my dual citizenship for the UK & Canada… I’m very proud to be Canadian. I missed the event in Surrey yesterday but next year i will definitely be there, it looked like tonnes of fun…. i saw the footage on the news and it looks like everyone had a blast!

I spent the day in Deep Cove in North Van……. it was pretty quiet, i was surprised, but didn’t complain, we spent the day on the beach surrounded by the water and mountains, it was truly terrific. Only in Canada do you get to experience such wonderful surroundings.

I am Canadian !

I drove by the Cloverdale Millennium Amphitheatre yesterday and it busy (a good busy). Normally I would head to the Steveston’s Salmon Festival but this year I opted out of doing both by taking my mom out for lunch instead.

Living so close to Cloverdale, I just had to leave the windows open and I could hear Bif Naked sing (wish I was there to see her perform but didn’t notice the time until it was to late)

The fireworks started around 10:30..

Surprise surprise, before I saw any of the comments, what came to mind was “The Notebook”. Clearly a success when it can get this many responses (I also know several guys who teared up during this “chick flick”).

Wow, that looks like quite the event they put on! We live in Steveston and attended the annual Salmon Festival. It attracts over 75,000 people so rather crowded for such a small area but fun for the whole family.
