Jessica Alba is one of my favourite it-girls. She's the best at choosing summer outfits (here you have the proof), and she dresses very good in winter too. She has hundreds of scarves! Even though her style is very predictable, she takes risks too (see picture below)

Disney princes & princesses on the cover of magazines

Maybe you have seen these already, but I had to post them anyway. They are too good, cute, and cheesy! These had to be on the blog. I love Petite Tiara's work, this idea is so original! Disney characters on the cover of magazines... It's so greatly done and the personality of the characters is perfectly related to the spirit of the magazine chosen. Yasmin is that provocative and rebel girl that reads Cosmopolitan, Cinderella is more subtle, so she's on the cover of Elle, Snowhite is pure, elegant and classic, perfect for Vogue US, and Pocahontas is a Nylon hipster. I love the one with the little Mermaid on Seventeen, and Rapunzel on Teen Vogue. The prince editions are awesome too. Check her Tumblr for a Disney sweet overdose.

Quizás ya las habeis visto, pero tenía que postearlas. ¡Son tan geniales, monas, y cursis! Tenían que estar en el blog. Me encanta el trabajo de Petite Tiara, ¡la idea es tan original! Personajes de Disney en las portadas de revistas... Está genial hecho, y la personalidad de los personajes está perfectamente elegida según el espíritu de la revista. Yasmin es la chica provocativa y rebelde que lee Cosmopolitan, Cenicienta es algo más discreta, así que aparece en Elle, Blancanieves es pura, elegante y clásica, perfecta para Vogue US, y Pocahontas es la hipster de Nylon. Me encanta la de la Sirenita en Seventeen y Rapunzel en Teen Vogue. La versión de los príncipes de Disney es muy buena también. Pasaos por su Tumblr para una sobredosis dulce de Disney.

Celebrating fashion for men - The Corner and Hercules

The Corner and Hercules collaborated for the edition of a very special book containing unseen images from the five years of the magazine. As an ode to mediterranean fashion for men, they've reunited some of their most iconic images. Hamish Bowles, Mariacarla Boscono, Raquel Zimmermann, Ana Beatriz Barros, Danny Beauchamp... They've mixed fresh and young photos with more elegant and serious looks. The result is very refreshing and inspiring.

Some times I have so many things to tell you that I don't know which one to post about and it's a chaos. So in this post you'll find a couple of things that have caught my eye on the last few days. //// A veces tengo tantas cosas de las que hablaros que no sé cuál publicar primero y acaba siendo un caos. Así que en este post os cuento un par de pistas que han captado mi interés hace poco.

Revenge

On Tuesday I was at the screeening of the first chaper of Revenge, the tv series by Disney (don't be fooled by it, it's not cheesy at all). It's about a girl, Amanda, that returns to the East Hamptons to take revenge of the people that destroyed her family. Luxury houses, betrayal, parties, mistery, 100% preppy looks... It's like The O.C., with intrigue and treason. They've shown 13 episodes on the USA, and Fox premiered the first episode in Spain yesterday. I'm addicted already. My favourite characters are Jack and Nolan. Fortunately the series enjoys a big audience, so there's no fear of it being cancelled, like it sadly happened to How to make it in America.

El martes estuve en la proyección del primer capítulo de Revenge, la serie de televisión creada por Disney (que no os engañe, no es para niños) ambientada en los Hamptons sobre una chica, Amanda, que vuelve para vengarse de los que destrozaron injustamente a su familia. Casas de lujo, tramas enrevesadas, fiestas, intriga, looks 100% preppy... Es como The O.C. pero con misterio y traición. De momento se han emitido 13 episodios en Estados Unidos, y se estrenó ayer en España en Fox. Yo ya estoy enganchada. Mis personajes favoritos son Jack y Nolan. Por suerte tiene mucha audiencia y no hay temor a que la cancelen, como por desgracia ha pasado con How to make it in America.

Rooney Mara caught my eye on The Social Network, and now she's everywhere thanks to the promotional tour of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Mythbusted! Fashion don'ts that actually look good

Fashion rules are meant to be broken. Even though there are new trends every season, the conventional rules stick around for ages. The guidelines that your grandmother follows by heart are difficult to forget when choosing an outfit every morning. But fashion shows that everything can look good if you know how to wear it (except for the animal print total look, I can't stand that). So, just like in that tv show "Mythbusters" in which they prove the crazy science myths (I watched it once that there wasn't anything interesting on the tv), here you have the busted fashion myths.

Las reglas en la moda están para romperlas. Aunque hay nuevas tendencias cada temporada, las reglas convencionales perduran años y años. Esas normas que tu abuela sigue a rajatabla son difíciles de dejar atrás cuando se elige un look cada mañana. Pero la moda demuestra que todo puede quedar bien si se sabe cómo llevarlo (menos el total look de animal print, con eso no he podido).Así que igual que en ese programa "Cazadores de mitos" en el que prueban a demostrar los mitos de la ciencia (sólo lo he visto una vez cuando no había nada interesante en la televisión), aquí tenéis algunos mitos de la moda cazados.

Fashion is about balance, but the opposite is great too. Mary-Kate Olsen is a fan of the oversize look.

A very nice effect, but try to avoid an 80's look. Here you have some inspiration for this trend.

5. Flats for formal events

It looks very elegant if done right.

One of my favourite things of A single man is its exquisite art direction. It is obvious that Tom Ford directed it, every aesthetic aspect is examined to the limit. The clothes (of course), the soundtrack... And the interior design. Colin Firth's house is so amazing and elegant, I love it. It mixes modern structures with classical elements. Everything is minimal, it looks as if you lived inside a GQ or Esquire magazine.

Inside Harper's Bazaar Spain: A tour of the offices

See that board? That's where every page of the issue they are preparing at the moment is displayed. It's almost empty because the previous one had just been replaced /// ¿Veis el corcho del fondo? Ahí es donde ponen cada página de la revista que están preparando. Está casi vacío porque acababan de cerrar el número anterior.

I had the honor of visiting the Harper's Bazaar Spain offices and meet the wonderful team, take photos and see how an issue is planned from the beginning, explained by the awesome Melania Pan, editor in chief. I had always wanted to be in an office of a magazine and see the ambient, so when I had the opportunity (thanks Javier) I knew I had to photograph everything to show you.

They are on the center of Madrid, and share the floor with Esquire, Robb Report and the new Orizon. The walls are decorated with giant versions of the covers, and there are magazines, bags full of clothes, catalogues, books, cups, beauty samples, iPhones, botles of water, earphones, candies... Even Ken, from Barbie! But I'll tell you about it at the end...

The latest issue of the magazine had just arrived on the newsstands the day before, and many editors were in Paris or New York in photoshoots, so it wasn't a hectic day. Oh, and I was at the Esquire offices, as they were in front of the Bazaar's, here you have the photos too.

Let's start the tour of the Harper's Bazaar Spain offices...

El martes tuve el honor de visitar las oficinas de Harper's Bazaar España y conocer al maravilloso equipo, hacer fotos y ver cómo se planea un número desde el principio hasta el final, explicado por la genial Melania Pan, directora de la revista. Siempre había querido estar en la redacción de una revista y ver el ambiente, así que cuando tuve la oportunidad (gracias a Javier), supe que tenía que fotografiarlo todo para enseñároslo después.

Ubicados en el centro de Madrid, Harper's Bazaar comparte oficinas con Esquire, Robb Report y la nueva Orizon. Las paredes están decoradas con las imágenes de las portadas en tamaño gigante, y en todas partes hay revistas, bolsas con ropa, catálogos, libros, figuritas, tazas, muestras de crema, iPhones, botellas de agua, caramelos, cascos para escuchar música... ¡Hasta el muñeco Ken! Pero eso os lo cuento al final...

La revista acababa de salir al kiosko el día anterior, y muchas redactoras estaban en París o Nueva York en sesiones de fotos, por lo que no había demasiado ajetreo. Ah, y estuve en las oficinas de Esquire, que están justo al otro lado, también tenéis aquí las fotos.

It's known that high heels do miracles for the women's figure: they are elegant, they make your walk more stylish, and blah, blah, blah... But flats are comfortable. You can walk miles on them. And they are elegant too. Here you have some examples by the most stylish girls. On the street, on the front row, for petite heights, or even at a formal event. Forget the guilt of wearing ballerinas.

One of the blogs I lately most enjoy is Casilda se casa (means "Casilda is getting married"). Wedding blogs can be an addiction, even if you are not getting married anytime soon. I stepped into an Oysho store on Wednesday and saw these awesome cases for underwearl. Luckily, I had my camera with me and took some photos. This drove me to dedicate a post to good packaging design, a topic I love. A book mustn't be judged by its cover, but if it's good, even better.

My favourite designs are the minimal ones, or those who express the product's essence and offer an extra value for the buyer. Those kind of fragrance bottles you still keep even when it's finished, or those little jewelry boxes you put on your desktop as decoration. Why would you produce a boring plastic box without character when you have endless creative possibilities?

Congratulations to Tiffany & Co, Hermès, Ladurée, Chanel, Comme des Garçons and Tom Ford, because they have great designs to accompany their products that now are worlwide icons.

El miércoles pasé por una tienda de Oysho y vi estos envoltorios que me parecieron geniales, por suerte llevaba la cámara y pude hacer un par de fotos. Esto me ha llevado a dedicarle un post a los buenos diseños de packaging. No hay que juzgar el libro por la cubierta, pero si ésta es original, mejor.

Mis favoritos son los minimalistas, o aquellos que saben expresar la esencia del producto y ofrecen un valor extra al que lo compra. Esos frascos de perfume que guardas aunque ya se hayan terminado, o aquellas cajitas de bisutería que pones en tu mesa como decoración. ¿Por qué vender un aburrido envase de plástico sin personalidad cuando tienes infinitas posibilidades creativas?

Enhorabuena a Tiffany & Co, Hermès, Ladurée, Chanel, Comme des Garçons y Tom Ford, porque diseñan unos packaging fantásticos para acompañar sus productos que se han convertido en iconos mundiales.

Vogue is known for being an aspirational magazine. Most readers can't afford the items the editors suggest on its pages, and it becomes a way of dreaming and imagining how it'd be like wearing a Chanel Haute Couture Dress at a ball in Venezia. In a world where a simple belt costs $2,000 and the most basic t-shirt has to be $300, the prices get absurdly arbitrary. What if a dress costs as much as a car? Which would you rather buy? A dress or a piano? A handbag or an Apple Mac? Would you rather get a MBA at Harvard or buy a diamond ring?

Value and price get mixed up and in the end it depends on the person. It's totally right to prefer a skirt to an iTouch, it's just a matter of what is more valuable to you and which you'd enjoy more. Right now I don't need an iTouch, so I would probably choose the skirt.

Now that I've made this list I can say that if I had the money I would mostly get the things on the right column. What about you?

El valor y el precio se mezclan y al final depende de cada persona. Es totalmente correcto preferir una falda a un iTouch, es cuestión de cuál es más valioso para ti o qué vas a disfrutar más. Ahora mismo no necesito un iTouch, así que probablemente elegiría la falda.

Ahora que he hecho la lista puedo decir que si tuviera el dinero elegiría la mayoría de los objetos de la columna derecha. ¿Y vosotros?
