It's fantastic to see some of you are still visiting the site, it has now been many months if not years of inactivity from our part and we would like to thank everyone who still visits the site.

As you know we both (Myself and Jonny) moved away from the Sims franchise a few years back due to our growing age!

but also due to our commitments elsewhere such as University Studies.

We have both recently launched portfolio sites to enable current employers and future employers to see the work we have been involved in, which of course includes our work here at Missing Studios.

We will be working together with a number of developers and freelancers to develop websites, Indie games and applications. We aim to continue to develop our portfolio of projects and services as the business progresses. To begin with we aim to focus on our consultancy work by providing businesses with tailored website solutions which incorporate the latest web technologies such as content management systems, social networking integration and HTML5/CSS3. These websites will be targeted at individuals looking for portfolios as well as small and medium sized businesses; especially start-ups looking for the their first online website. We are currently developing our very own management system to aid in the development of these websites. This involves the customer in the design and build stage as much as possible with step by step design tools and requirements gathering. As a result of this we believe the highest quality and most refined websites can be developed to meet budgets and time-plans.

In terms of Indie Games, we plan to develop small games for Windows 8 to sell on the new Windows Store. Other platforms will be considered as the business grows. Our first game will be a compelling 2D side-scroller built with the hardware accelerated graphics capabilities of the latest web technologies. In the future, we plan to move onto more advanced games for each project. More details will be available soon.

What happens to the current Missing Studios? The current website will remain open until the new website is ready. We plan to launch the new business within the next 30 days. User generated forum signatures will be removed when the new site launches, so it is recommended that you save a copy of your signature if you wish to keep it as soon as possible.

The Best Years of Their Lives
Do you love your awkward teen Sims soooooo much? Or wish that your little Sims didn’t grow up so fast? Well, now you can have your wish. From the Options menu, you can adjust your Sim’s overall lifespan, which will in turn lengthen (or decrease!) each of their life stages. Or you can simply adjust an individual life stage. And don’t worry - if you decide that you’ve given them too much of a good thing, you can always return to the default settings.
Tip: To get the most gameplay throughout your Sim’s lifespan, try increasing the length of the Child and Teen life stages.

A Lesson in Boarding Schools

Packing young Sims off to boarding school is one cool new option in The Sims 3 Generations. Going away to school is a great way to enrich a child’s life and ensure that they grow up well. But it doesn’t come free - parents must pay for the privilege of prestigious schooling. However, if parents are willing to part with their Simoleons - and their children - their young scholars will gain advantages in different skills and develop certain traits, depending on the school selected.
To enrol their offspring in a boarding school, Sims can log onto the computer or pick up the phone. Don’t worry - children and teens boarding at school won’t lose touch entirely. They will occasionally call home to chat with the family.
Sims continue to age while they are away at school. When they reach the end of a life stage, Sim students get their final marks and, if they wish to remain in school, they can re-enrol. If the student is ready to return to the fold, they can come home with new skills and traits that reflect their time at school. When a boarding school student reaches the end of their teen years, they receive their final marks, and return home for graduation.

Minding the Little Ones

Taking care of children is rewarding and important, but for working parents finding the right person to take on the day care responsibilities is essential. Nurturing and Family-Oriented Sims are well suited to the role and will enjoy a career in day care, minding their towns’ little bundles of joy.
Every weekday morning, several toddlers are dropped off at the home of a day care professional and stay until later in the evening when their parents return to pick them up. Child minders should make sure their homes are equipped to handle several children by keeping plenty of toys on hand. The happier the kids, the happier the parents, and the better the chance that they will tip the day care provider. The better the day care specialist, the more kids (and Simoleons!) they’ll end up with, including school age children who will arrive for after school care.
Tip: Make sure that school kids finish their homework to get the best rating.
Keep in mind that taking care of little ones isn’t always a walk in the park. Day care specialists can expect to cope with a variety of crises, such as emergency weekend day care, not to mention the dreaded "problem child." So remember to use any unlocked socials and rewards to help keep kids in line - and don’t be afraid to bring in some extra help.

The Very Best of Friends

Some lucky - and imaginative - Sims get a head start in finding a best friend. For them, their best friends seem to have always been there, for as long as they can remember - and, well, that may be because they always have been!
Some newborns receive special toys in the mail. When one of these children becomes a toddler, they can play with, sing to, and name their toy, building a strong relationship with this special friend. As the young Sim grows, their special friend grows along with them and has the change of developing the ability to turn into a life-sized imaginary friend - but only its owner can see and interact with it.
However, imaginary friends can be turned real through Opportunities or by creating the Imaginary Friend Metamorphium potion with the chemistry set. It is confirmed (By an unofficial source) that the iPhone version of The Sims 3 will be making it's way to Microsoft's upcoming mobile platform - Windows Phone 7 via Xbox Live. Windows Phone 7 is available on the 21st of October in Europe and the 8th of November in the United States.

The console version of The Sims 3 will have its own versions of The Exchange–the PC game’s community site, where players can upload, share, and rate their own custom content. Each console version of the game will have its own separate version of The Exchange, and each console version will be powered entirely by user-generated content created with the console games’ editing tools–which include all kinds of furniture, cars, buildings, and even a full lot that contains an actual, fully built and furnished house. The Exchange page will have a running news ticker to follow updates from you and your friends, and you’ll have your own page (called, surprisingly enough, “MyPage”) where you’ll be able to upload your own wicked-awesome leopard-print toilet. "Kyta1702 conclusion:
The game is really nice and every aspect of it is well thought, everything is so much better and so much more than The Sims 2: Nightlife. The island where you can find the city is small but still big and a real city. I am looking forward to the release of this expansion pack.

Xelles conclusion:
The new neighborhood of The Sims 3: Late Night looks just amazing. It almost looks like a real city, with its high buildings where you can buy a penthouse or where you can find a club. The clubs and pubs have their own opening hours and the fun an realistic thing about this is that your Sim may be kicked out when the pub or club closes. I think The Sims 3: Late Night could do without the vampires, but I think it will be a nice new element. Late Night is in my opinion the best expansion pack of The Sims 3, well up until now anyway.

Hiki’s conclusion:
Most of the time I play with one family, generation after generation. I am sure a lot of members of the family Kwana would love it to be a party animal and go to one of the many clubs. Fortunately for the elderly generation, they won’t be bothered by the noises of the city and stay at their beloved small and quiet town, but the younger generation can rent a penthouse so they are close to all the parties and they can go to them whenever they want. Maybe I will turn the Kwana’s into vampires for a couple of generations? My Sims will become really happy ones I’ve bought this expansion pack."

Amazon US has now included the Engish Version of the box art on its store. At the moment in time the box art is only low res, however its likely a full res image will be released over the next couple of days/weeks.

With the success of The Sims 3, it's not surprising that the Sims Studio is bringing the game over to next-generation consoles so that a wider audience can experience the joy of starting a sim family from scratch. We had an opportunity to see The Sims 3 for the Xbox 360 at the EA studio showcase in Redwood Shores, but this time, we played the PlayStation 3 version to get an idea of how the controls would feel. EA or Facebook is yet to comment why the profile is inaccessible the account has either been deleted or suspended. Upon some research Infinite Sims believes the account may have been suspended in regards of breaching facebooks terms and conditions. At the moment in time this is however pure speculation as there's no actual physical evidence or statement by neither electronic arts or facebook.

Infinite Sims believes the breach was made, when advertising a recent competition directly using facebooks tagging abilities. Shown below is an extract that was previously posted on the pofile and was previously reported as a competition on Infinite Sims.

"Just invite a friend to Like our Fan Page and have them Attend this Event. Once they’ve been listed as Attendees, have them TAG YOU IN A WALL POST ON THE EVENT PAGE. Make sure you are Attending the Event as well."

As you can see this is clearly asking users to tag anonymous friends who may or may not be willing or wanting to be tagged. Found below is an extract from Facebook's terms and conditions, this clearly states competitions held on facebook must have prior written consent, however if they are located away from facebook written consent isn't required.

"3. Safety

1. You will not offer any contest, giveaway, or sweepstakes (“promotion”) on Facebook without our prior written consent. If we consent, you take full responsibility for the promotion, and will follow our Promotions Guidelines and all applicable laws. [ Extract from Facebook Terms ]

At the moment in time this must be regarded purely as speculation as there's no written proof this is the actual case and reason for the page being unavailable. Lets hope the page will become available again soon

its likely a press release or an apology may also be made available, disclosing the actual reason.

The first thing you may want to do is register for an account at the top of the page. You will be able to put together a profile by detailing your traits, favourites and of course - Yourself! We encourage you to create a forum post introducing yourself after registering - Letting us know that you have arrived. We'd also like to know what you like and dislike about the site.

Here's a quick rundown detailing what has changed:
- New moderators: We'd like to welcome Dizzydoil, Matrix54 and Vesper to the team along with returning forum moderator KireiHana, and thank them joining in our closed beta.
- Upload Machinima and Custom Content: Machinima and custom content can be uploaded to the site now and after a moderation process, you'll see your content on Missing Studios in no time where people are able to then watch and download whilst give you feedback via comments and ratings.
- Forum: The forum has had a total revamp and is more integrated within the site than ever.
- Cool Stuff: There's a large selection of soundtracks that you can listen to on this page. You can also download desktop wallpaper packs created by Vesper and Dizzydoil.
- Tools: All videos uploaded to Missing Studios must be in the Flash FLV format, therefore we've provided you with custom built tools to allow you to convert your videos into this format. The Sims 3 Diagnostics is another tool that you can use to keep your games up to date, make backups of your user data and gather information that is useful for sharing online and getting help with technical issues.
- Signature Generator: Only available after registering. You will find the links to generate signatures on your profile and on the forums. The new signature generator allows for more customizable signatures. Old signatures from v8 will be deleted in November. Check out mine for example:
