Undergraduate research journal explores hot topics

The Missouri State University Honors College published LOGOS: A Journal of Undergraduate Research, Volume 4, and it is now available at locations across campus and online. A team of four undergraduate student editors, 20 student peer reviewers and nearly 40 faculty experts collaborated to produce this volume, which features publications by 18 students from 11 academic departments at the university.

Mike Harders to lead advancement and development at Kennesaw State

‘Our Promise’ campaign achieves goal, sets bar higher

Today (Jan. 26) Our Promise campaign co-chairs Tom Strong and Ramona McQueary announced that the goal was exceeded well ahead of schedule, with more than $134,526,000 in total gifts and commitments to date. In addition, they announced that the Our Promise campaign will strive to reach the $150 million level by the campaign’s originally scheduled conclusion.

Student volunteers provide free tax services through April 15

As part of the public affairs mission at Missouri State University, students from the School of Accountancy will be available to assist individuals with free tax preparation, e-filing and questions about other tax issues as part of the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) and Low Income Tax Clinic (LITC) programs. Assistance will be available through April 15 at scheduled times in Glass Hall on the Missouri State campus and at various locations around Springfield for 2011 tax preparation. Year-round assistance is also available for other tax issues.

Tent Theatre calls for auditions

Missouri State University’s Tent Theatre will hold auditions for its 2012 summer productions Feb. 11 in the Craig Hall Lobby. Productions lined up for the upcoming season include the musicals “42nd Street” and “9 to 5: The Musical” and male and female versions of the classic Neil Simon play “The Odd Couple.”
