Today marks the 10th anniversary of Missus Singapore!

When I first started the site, it was meant to be a personal account of my thoughts and I could have never in my wildest dreams expected it to become what it has. I've been a guest blogger and writer for many sites since and my articles have been published in places I have lost count of.

A couple of years back, I was even offered money to buy over the site with the contents but I turned it down because this site defines me. It is about me and my connection to people who enjoy reading about my adventure.

Granted the past six months have been a trying time for me - having suffered a family tragedy - I have also been inundated with work opportunities which I jumped on to clear my mind. It's been a good escape but now I am ready to revisit with Missus Singapore.

Besides, I have had my hands (among other things) full with Route 69 which also has taken off to heights I never expected in the least. I've solve the problem of limited membership so those of you who did not manage to join up but have been asking to, can do so soon.

My adventure with Missus Singapore will continue and I am looking forward to reconnecting with all my loyal readers and followers. Hang in there and watch out for my comeback from my brief escape.

Re-jigging Route 69

It's almost six months since Route 69 - the members-only exclusive MS club - was launched. Truth be told, it far exceeded all expectations. I have met many wonderful people in person over the course and enjoyed myself thoroughly.

Many of you have kept renewing your membership over that period and thus preventing many on the waiting list from enjoying the benefits you have been monopolizing. While that is a good thing, unfortunately for those on the waiting list, that is a bummer.

Still, I thank you for your patronage but it's now time to re-jig Route 69 so that more can enjoy the benefits. All current memberships will expire on 30 October 2015 and will not be renewed. (All members have already been notified.)

I have learned much since the club was launched and taking many things from it, I now seek to improve it a little.

Since many of you clearly have expressed an interest in meeting up with me (and indeed have), I am now going to remove the monthly membership fee and instead install a pay-as-you-play type policy. This ultimately frees me from spending too much time on the site and dedicate more time towards meeting members. Producing content on a regular basis is hard work, just so you know!

Let me explain.

Suppose you want to join in any activity or event, you can make the necessary payment and we are good to go. After the event, you will become a member of Route 69 which will receive updates for future events.

Thus, now as a member, you will have priority over others in terms of any places up for grabs in future events. You will however, need an email address to access Route 69. So all it takes to join the club now is to participate in at least one event! No monthly membership fees for now other than the usual fees for events.

I know this development will appeal especially to the many of you on the waiting list and others who have expressed a keen interest in joining Route 69 for months.

You can email me directly to get more details. But remember, since this involves meet-ups, there are specific terms you must agree to and feel comfortable with. I do what pleases me and addresses my fetishes first and foremost so if you are not agreeable to my terms, I appreciate you do not waste anyone's time. Time for yourself

One of the greatest luxuries today is to find time and space for yourself. In Singapore, it can be a challenge but as I found out, it's not impossible if you are imaginative and creative enough.

We all have different things that we can escape to but we need to take things by the scruff and make it happen. Recently, I found a little getaway up north and spend a weekend there. You might also like to know that there is a place east in Changi, which offers a good escape.

The point however of this post is not about where but when and why you must do so.

For me, with all that has transpired over the past few months, getting away from work and crowds was a welcome reprieve. Yes, friends are great but sometimes, you just need to sort things out by your lonesome. Clear your thoughts, expel your anguish and clear the path ahead.

I took a break from blogging and can feel a renewed vigor slowly emerging. Sex too has reappeared on the radar which is always a good thing. It's a absolutely wonderful stress-reliever no doubt but at times, it just is hard to fit in into your regular programme. That said, I must underline the fact that the sooner you get down to it, the sooner some semblance of normalcy and purpose in your life returns.

It will take time to get over this personal hurdle as I am sure it is with most people losing a loved one but as the cliche says, 'Life Goes On'.

Finding my feet again

The last month has been terribly challenging for me. There was a lost in the family following a long illness but thankfully, the suffering is no more. However, it has knocked me off course quite a bit and now I am slowing beginning to find my feet once again.

I appreciate all the kind words and condolences you guys and girls have emailed me. It was heartening and it does back my belief that there are more good than bad people out there. My faith in mankind has been reinforced.

I hope you will be patient with me in getting back on track but things will get back to normal.

Gemma Wale from Small Heath, Birmingham was reported jailed for two weeks for making loud noises during sex. Apparently, the 23-year old mother-of-two was hauled in by local police for ‘screaming and shouting whilst having sex’ at 5am.

Porn used to be an exciting entity when it wasn't so easy to come by. Think back to the early 80s and compare that with what is readily available today. It's everywhere. Good or bad, that is a topic for another discussion.

What I would like to touch on is how it has affected the performance of men in bed. If you are old enough to have experienced what it was like in the 80s, you will know that men then, were more creative, innovative and definitely better in bed than today.

Membership is officially closed!

I am touched and honestly quite taken aback by the response that Route 69 garnered. Within three weeks, all 100 (actually 99) memberships have been claimed. I even have a waiting list that is twice as big! Thank you all.

It's really heartening that so many of you are fans and want to put your money where your mouths are. While on average, most took up four-month memberships, the longest paying member signed up for a whole year! Not much shocks me these days but you guys certainly did.

Sadly, some of you who have missed out on the memberships are such sore people. There was this one guy who thinks that just because he has met me, he deserves a place! The nerve of him.

I actually made announcements for the club membership months before and if he was sitting on his ass and did nothing then, I am sorry but I can't do anything about it. Besides, he has never once supported Missus Singapore - lots of talk but no action.

On the flip side, another couple not only took up membership but also offered so host some of my events! How great is that!

Anyway, for the past month or so, I have been busy producing content for the club which I must say, has everyone happy and contented thus far. There is a lot more work involved than I first anticipated, a lot more events and people to meet (so far I have met 45 of the members) but I am glad to serve up my end of the deal.

Although I did not promise to meet every single one of them, I will try my utmost to do so. For now, I will only be meeting members and those not in the club will unfortunately, have to wait.

Nonetheless, for those who missed the deadline, fret not. I will keep you updated when someone does not renew their membership and a place opens up. But it's based on a first-cum-first-serve basis.

Time for guys to get their act together

I read an article in Psychology Today about the rise in young women who openly admit they are either lesbian or bisexual.

One psychologist Professor John Buss estimates that throughout most of human history, about 2% of women have been either. Today, based on recent surveys, the number has risen to around 15% of young females.

Maybe it has risen but I think these numbers indicate that it is more acceptable to come out and admit one's lesbian or bisexual orientation compared to say 30 years ago.

Moreover, we have to think of the influences as well such as Katy Perry's 'I Kissed A Girl And I Liked It' hit single personalities like Cate Blanchett Megan Fox, Lindsay Lohan, Lady Gaga and Angelina Jolie who have since openly identified themselves as being either lesbian or bisexual.

Based on the numerous women I have spoken to over the years who identify themselves similarly, many admit they did not start out that way when they became sexually aware. Many lesbians had boyfriends and bisexual women obviously still continue to have boyfriends.

The biggest reason for the shift with lesbians I know, is that they just couldn't connect with the men they were with. In brief, many assert the men they were with were losers.

Casual conversation without any sexual obligation was hard to come by with a boy-girl relationship. Many girls love to cuddle up and feel free to talk about anything and everything without having to deal with the typical male come-ons. Most men fail miserably in that department.

Sex wise, the men - these women claim - do not seem to take kindly to learning about their partner's sexual needs and sexual arousal rituals. One woman describes is as a 'monster truck race - start the engines, smash through all obstacles and hit the finish line in the shortest possible time'.

Very often, this behaviour can be attributed to guys watching too much porn and not understanding the difference between virtual sex and real sex. As a result, guys expect their partners to perform the way they watch how porn stars do it.

In some of these cases, the women confide in other women. Initially, it's just about turning to a sympathetic ear but once bonds and trusts form, it can set the foundation for other emotions to emerge and like any typical relationship, a connection is developed which may or may not lead to sex at some point in the future.

So unless guys want to continue complaining about more and more women turning the 'other way', they really need to get their act together.
