SABC1 's Live presenter Minnie Dlamini Claims she was assaulted at Hush Club in Rosebank on Friday. Hush, however denies these accusations and issued a press release which you can see on SCENE AND HEARD. Minnie says : "HUSH your lies and false reports of the incident make me sick", according to her twitter page http://twitter.com/MinnieDlamini

This is is a mess in my opinion, and blown way out of proportion....and really if it were your average Jane no one would hear about it...so i guess its a good thing BUT everyone needs to just get their facts straight. Great for the Gossipers though...

For those unfamiliar with the musical styling's of one Ms Beyonce Knowles* (quite possibly the same demographic that believe "Google" to be Yiddish slang), one of her latest offerings is entitled "Girls who run the world". In it she subtly asserts that girls run the world (shock/horror/disbelief). No doubt this sent reverberations of the testosterone fueled variety from New York to Newtown along with such witty quips as "you can't run the world from the kitchen". At first I took it as a feel good song about women's empowerment and independence. I'm not taking anything away from her, I wouldn't dare to. In fact, if I could achieve a fraction of what she has I'd die happy...and quite possibly in lavish comfort. Women like Beyonce, Oprah and countless others around the globe, without such high profiles, embody and live the ideas presented in the song on the regular. Now, what I came to realize is that they really do "run the world".
"Blasphemy!" they shout as they renew their subscriptions to "Chauvinist Monthly". Just hear me out before you ask me to hand over my "man-card" and any supporting "accessories". Since the dawn of time, man (read: men) has sought to gain the affection of women the world over. Somewhere along the line, man (again, read: men) in their infinite wisdom (citation needed) decided the best way to do so was to impress their female counterparts. I'm not familiar with the details of this auspicious event in history but I'm pretty sure it involved a couple of dudes sitting around a fire with some ale and one of them saying "Ima kick a tyrannosaurus rex in the shin tomorrow and see how many girls' cave numbers I can get." 24 hours later, mankind had its first Darwin Award winner. But men have never been the sort to back down from a challenge and despite early failures they forged forward. What started as a way for a guy to get a girl to like him would snowball into the collective advancement of the human race. "How so?" you ask. Well! As time progressed men sought to outdo themselves...each other actually. These feats to impress became larger in scale and, well, more impressive in nature! And it's this writer's belief that this constant one-upmanship led to some of the greatest creations and discoveries of our, and passed generations', time. Every watershed moment in our long and storied history can be traced to some chaps' intent to woo a maiden. Allow me to elaborate.
Motor Vehicle
The motor vehicle? A ploy to impress women? With slogans like "get there in half the time and twice the pollution!" how could these contraptions have been created with anything but men in mind? Easy. Quite a nifty little feature their horse-drawn carriage predecessors sorely lacked. This innovation would go on to revolutionize transportation as we know it: the flip-down mirror on the passenger's side.
Flight
Icarus might have had the idea (mythological epic fail) but not until the Wright brothers' aerial sojourn on December 17, 1903 had man successfully conquered the skies. Picture the scene: it's the dawn of the 20^th century and a rather unkempt looking fellow (you know how these inventive types are) by the name of Wright approaches you.
Wright brother: "Pardon me Miss. Might I escort you this weekend to a showing of the motion pictures at the local bioscope?"
Miss: "I'm afraid I already have an escort, one with a motor vehicle no less."
Wright brother: "A motor vehicle?! That's so 1902!" (The dialogue here might be a little sketchy)
Miss: "It has a flip-down mirror on the passenger's side you see."
Wright brother:"Screw that, I'll fly you there!" (Like I said, a little sketchy)
The history books will tell you that the first flight only lasted 12 seconds. What they won't tell you is that that was all it needed to last, mission a-FRIGGIN-ccomplished!

Political and religious persecution, heavy taxes and intolerable acts. Sounds like a drag? Well it was. Although they might sound like pretty good reasons for the creation and subsequent independence of the good old US of A another more compelling one is presented as follows. Men, like George Washington, flocked to and fought for the stars and stripes so that every 4 or 8 years (12 if you followed FDR) one lucky individual can introduce himself as follows: Hi, my name is XXXXX and I'm the leader of the Free World. Power does the trick doesn't it?

Space. The final frontier. If space were a TV series it would be the type that ends with a "to be continued banner"...every episode...for the next, well, FOREVER years! (Talk about a PVR nightmare!). How much does it cost to explore this great FOREVERness you ask? According to NASA's 2008 balance sheet, their gross operating cost weighs in at a whopping $19 billion for the year. Their earned revenue: $1 billion. Even the most talented of CFOs and financial advisors (can Schabir still work in his condition?) would shudder at the prospect of having to justify operating at that deficit. If not for financial gain then why exist? The answer is simple really. I don't think any business card reads better than the following, "Rick James. NASA Rocket Scientist. I launch shit into space." Tell me you aren't impressed ladies! See, while one of NASA's proudest moments was a man landing on the moon their greatest achievement is found in my proposed new slogan, "NASA: helping nerds land hot girls since 1958."
Of course, for all the good creations there are the equally poor ones: the 80s, Justin Bieber (yes, I went there!), that annoying little extra seal on a carton of milk.
So there you have it! Women having been shaping the course of mankind all along, knowingly or not. While men might like to think that "all the world's a stage" and us its greatest players, a more apt illustration would be that we're merely marionettes and women are our puppet master overlords (ladies?). I wish to temper your excitement for a moment however female compatriots. I impart to you the same council Ben Parker gave to a young Peter Parker, "With great power comes great responsibility". So I implore the puppet master overlords (ladies?) to heed the council of this wise old sage (Spider-Man does after all and who are we to argue with the intrepid web slinger?!) if only for the sake of humankind and the advancement of civilization as we know it.
Just my thoughts. Use it. Don't use it. Now if you will please excuse me. I feel my string being pulled...

Ok so I just painted my nails in leopard print... And my friends were asking how so I decided to post a step by step guide so u can all have pretty nails too:)

So first of all you need 3 colours,a base colour, a spot colour and then black or something dark for the outline. You can choose any 3 colours that you like.

You start off by painting your base colour (obviously)...and then you can decide whichever is easier for you, but I find it easier to blob random dots all over...Make sure to get excess paint off the brush so that the dots dry easily.

For the next step you should get a picture of something leopard print so you can get the pattern right...then what you do is put some black paint on a piece of paper and use a tooth pick or something around that size to draw on the black outline...or you can use those super cool nail art pens if u balling like that lol. But that's about it..its really simple.

Et Voila!! There are my pretty pink leopard print nails. :)

So I recently got my wisdom teeth removed... 4 of them, and they were healing except the one and I stopped taking my antibiotics cos I had a bad reaction to them and Uhm I nearly died yesterday..well at least I think I nearly did..cos I rate the infection in my gum caused me to go into septic shock..or some kind of shock cos my body just freaked the eff out.. with fevers and cold sweats and uncontrollable shakes.. And nausea and the kind of pain that literally had my curled up in a ball crying for my mother. Its a result of stopping my antibiotics halfway and then just doping up on painkillers which masked the pain of the infection ..well the severity of it anyways...and then the aforementioned painkillers made my kidneys hurt so I decided to stop taking them..and so yesterday devoid of all medication I felt the wrath of the angry infection in my mouth.. And I nearly died. That's my tragic story.

So I've learned that u should always finish ur antibiotics... And also painkillers are great cos they make u feel really good but its a fake kind of good cos in reality ur feeling bad but u can't actually FEEL it ... Ill just be happy wen I can bite into a chicken licken hot wing again and experience pleasure and not pain.

And yes I was being melodramatic (a lil bit).

We all know by now that I am a resident at Latinova, a very very sexy nightclub in the heart of Rosebank, everyone loves it there (ask them)..so right now what i'd like to do is share some memorable moments and pictures from the last few months at Latinova, memorable meaning the good, the bad and the funny. (oh and none of the pictures are mine i got them from the Latinova Facebook page.)

Yoh it goes down there, and plus there are like 4 other clubs in the vicinity so its like Mardi Gras every single weekend, and thats why I had my birthday there (face on the flyer and everything haha) because it NEVER disappoints.

Before now Ive never heard of eating cake in the club but if you have your birthday at Latinova they will give you a cake (or a mother of a cake) and they will even stop the music so everyone can look at you and your huge birthday cake!!! No im exaggerating, but they do make the birthday people feel really special (and really drunk) on their birthdays

*That was my birthday cake, it was HUGE..and lovely, with sparklers.

Other less important people (than me haha) have their birthdays there too like Dj Switch, C-Live 5fm and gorgeous Models like Cherrie Flave, and when these events happen you're bound to catch a live performance from your favourite local artists or party alongside local celebs and its all oh-so-swaggerific rubbing shoulders with the Who's Who of Jozi!

Whenever I walk into latinova I feel like I've stepped into a boudoir with all this pink and purple velvet furniture and walls in rich colours and I feel like everyone is meant to be french lingerie and pearls, Burlesque style, (it looks that sexy), although you can spot a waitress in fishnets and corsets every now and then, the waitresses and dancers are super sexy, really jealous of them.

But decor and ridiculously attractive staff aside the parties are really great, the guests always dress to kill and the Dj's never disappoint. Fridays are my night, but Latinova jumps off Friday, Saturday and now SUNDAY as well with the new launch of Garden of Eden there..yoh people's livers hey, so much alcohol!!

On Saturday night Science Frikshun threw a D&B street party in Newtown with Various D&b and Dubstep djs making love to our ears.Wow! I have no words to describe what went down at that party but i"ll try.

Drum n Bass and Dubstep have been around for quite a while but its becoming more and more popular every year. I'm so new to it I've only recently developed an appreciation for this genre, but the Jhb street party just sealed the deal. I could honestly feel the bass in my chest, it was epic..and i was in my element. The highlight of my night had to have been local talent from Cape Town, Mark Stevens aka Niskerone aka" it came from the jungle" haha!! This dudes sounds are just too sick, he was the opening Dj for Dj Fresh and he was so effing awesome people kept asking "is this Fresh now??" where has he been all my life?

Niskerone. I might stalk him.

Now I know next to nothing about D&B and Dubstep but I'm learning fast.. "Imagine D&B as if yoou were pummeling someones face with a spade, now imagine dubstep as if you were taking your time with the spade" -DJ Fresh

All I know is that was one of the realest parties I've ever been to..keen to go again!

I am super stoked, u have no idea..because in less that 12 hours I will be on a road trip to the mother city with my dear friends!!!! *big smiley face* I have not been to cape town since I was 6 years old *shock horror* so needles to say this is a big thing for me.

The line up for the next week in CT is insane..starting tomorrow night (27/12) there's the Girls Gone wild hosted by ur man mr Fresh2def himself Da les..it will be at Karma with the likes of Dj Dimplez, Dj Swith T-Lee, Glen 21 and more. Then on Tuesday the 28th its the Head Honcho Birthday party at Chevelle with performances by Aka , Khuli Chana and ILLs Skills.

On the 29th its going DOWN..that's the day of the Rick Ross Blowing Money Fast SA tour, there will be pre party, after party and an uber exclusive yacht party. At the concert our very own "Victory Lap" rapper Aka will be the opening act for rick ross (big ups). No pressure..haha.

And that's all I know about so far but I will be keeping the updates coming. Cannnot wait to hit the beach!! Don't forget ur sunscreen kids cos CT is gonna Be a scorcher!

Kardashians Take SA

Oh wow I am an incredibly delayed individual I know! BUT I had the pleasure of meeting the Kardashians bitches..and I say "meet" as loosely as I can haha..it was more like screaming their name with everybody else and waiting for them to come close enough to get a picture! (Which I did just by the way).

So with the launch of Brutal Fruit's new flavour Cheeky Cranberry, Kim and Khloe kardashian were brought in as the International ambassadors for the brand and out own homegrown babe Bonang Matheba is the South African ambassador(she had the pleasure of hanging with them the lucky cow).

In honour of this Brutal Fruit threw AMAZINGLY lavish parties with amazing givaways like Audi C4s and C3s *dies* and lots and lots of pink slushy alcohol *dies again*. Bringing with it a flock of international and local celebs..ok mostly local. Either way I had a great time at both of the Johannesburg events, the first was held at Zar in Sandton and the event held last week was held at Rand Club downtown Joburg. (I feel sorry for the poor souls who waited all night at Zar and Randlords shem).

You know, as I said before I enjoyed both events but when Kim and Khloe arrived I was so put off, everybody just lost themselves and acted crazy. Both sisters were closed off in a little section being gawked at like zoo animals..Khloe, bless her soul, is so amazing, her energy is just so insane..she danced spoke to people took pictures and showed me her ring haha! Kim was such a bore, she just sat there in all her diva-ness. Nice to look at I guess, but that's it. I got over it quickly and went to party with other people who actually danced at the party.

The excitement was awesome and it was great to see them (because I am obsessed with them ) and I hope they come back soon.

The atmosphere yesterday in Sandton was enigmatic, euphoric, emotional, energetic,entertaining etc ..pop as many E's as you will you will not experience the high that I and everyone and their mama's around South Africa experienced yesterday.

With the parade moving around Johannesburg..sporting the S.A team...Zakumi making everybody smile..the resonating sound of vuvuzelas being blown and the ocean and yellow and green that could be seen from every angle..I could not help but have this amazing feeling of pride build up inside me.

Soccer fans have flocked to our country in hundreds, and walking in the square I kept trying to guess who was foreign or local and had my fare share of people asking to take pictures with me (south african boys too hehe ;) and scouting for brazilians! As well as a very strange Hiv/AIDS activist/exhibitionist (scratching his body and taking his clothes off). Oh and a definite must! Soccer highlights must be watched in the Sony 3D dome!! Its insane!! I could see the sweat dripping from Kaka's beautiful nose..(Lol). And Shakiras video with Freshly Ground rocks..my poor dad nearly fainted from watching her hahaha.♡ "tsamina mina eh eh waka waka eh eh zongawalo this time for Africa" *sings*

Listening cries of shosholoza and other songs(and toi-toi-ing) of support for our boys..dancing around the ankles of Madiba's statue I had no choice but to feel it..and as Zakumi's love interest (no really I am) I decided to share some of the pictures I've gathered from yesterday and just in general in support of bafana bafana and our country for hosting this world cup.
Because its an honour and I can honestly say that I am proud to be a part of this..and I'm behind the boys all the way. HALALA!!
