At $49.95, one-hour self-service consultation to help you understand your DNA test results and work up a plan for using them in your search—for example, which relative to test next for comparison. GeneTree CEO Jeff Wells compares this to “teaching people how to fish.”

A full-service report, in which GeneTree staff will analyze your Y Chromosome and Mitochondrial DNA Testing results, use the company’s resources to find genetic matches, and analyze pedigrees of potential relatives for family connections. The consultant also will use other, non-GeneTree resources. The cost is $49.95 per hour, with a five-hour minimum.

Elephant bird roamed the earth less then 400 years ago. Sightings of this flightless bird as late as 1640-1650 in Madagascar showing the bird could be found at 10 foot tall.
The elephant bird was deemed as the largest bird in the world until it’s extinction in the 17th century. Adult fossils and eggs have been found since.
Nuclear and Mitochondrial DNA have been extracted from an egg to help us find out more about this very large bird related to the ostrich and emu.

So much information can be learned about yourself with Y Chromosome and Mitochondrial DNA testing.
Yet, Genetic DNA Testing is still in it’s embryonic stage. We have so much to learn about it still. The good news is, if you get a DNA test your information can be monitored online for new discoveries and connections.
People tend to think it is a task and a process. The only part of you being examined is the DNA that comes from your mouth of a cotton swab. No shots, no skin scraping… enjoy the technology your ancestors couldn’t.
