This coming June, MixVibes (in collaboration with Barma, its distributor in Spain) will be presenting its latest innovations on the Sonar, Barcelona.

Sonar is an annual three-day music festival held in Barcelona, Spain. It is by far the main festival of electronical music in Spain. There are around 80,000 visitors who come every year. Sonar is the essential meeting point for an alert public, cutting-edge artists and the most influential professionals from the sectors of music and modern arts.

MixVibes CROSS - Official update 1.2.5

This is the first update for MixVibes CROSS since its official release in March. It will improve your version with a lot of enhancements and bug fixes.

Improvements

Low latencies management

You can now mix and scratch your media with an incredible low latency.

Track Gain

Each track has now a track gain which is saved in the collection and in the peak file.

Skin 1024

The skin has been modified to be displayed in a 1024 pixels resolution.

Performances

Timecoded CD control is now more reactive (CUE, loops …) and performances on MAC OSX are now better (audio performances)

Drop to locations for ‘all relative’ mode:

- Vinyl: set the needle on a vinyl position (3s-1mn/1-2mn/2-3mn/3-4mn/4-5mn) allows to go to a MixVibes location.
- CD: store locations on the CD deck at positions ~50ms/100ms/150ms and go to these locations allow to go to a MixVibes location.

New skins

For DVS: 3 new carbon V2 skins: Light, Normal or Advanced. For a full compatibility with the 7.21, please use only the CARBON V2 skins provided with the software, or the others available in the Download Center.

Lowest latencies on the market

In conjunction with the best audio interfaces on the market, MixVibes allows DJs to access the lowest latencies to match the needs of the best turntablists and scratchers.

You can now use MixVibes at a 32 samples buffer rate in association with an RME RPM sound interface to attain a 0.3ms latency! Never before had a Digital Vinyl solution offered a scratch feel this close to genuine analog vinyl.

What’s new ?

- CROSS can now be controlled using MixVibes timecoded Vinyls or CDs.

Featuring the well known absolute mode, a Relative mode (similar to MixVibes 7 ’s All Relative mode) and a new Flexible mode allowing to temporarily disconnect the control media (Vinyl or CD) to do whatever needed (needle cleaning, vinyl/CD replacing, etc.) without breaking your mix.

Any warping mode (Resampling, Master Tempo, Hybrid) is available using External Control. Enjoy the Master Tempo qualities without losing the possibility to scratch whenever you want !

- U46MK2 full compatibility

Moreover, the U46Mk2 soundcard is now natively handled so that the monitoring and volumes settings are automatically set by CROSS.

- Lead-in and lead-out zone

To allow an easy scratching around the bounds of your tracks, CROSS also introduces the possibilty to have a lead-in and a lead-out zone.

- Sound quality

The time-streching algorithm (Master Tempo) has been updated to provide a still better sound quality.

- Collection view

To feel more comfortable in using the CROSS collection, the columns order is now saved and the main display mode (Media Rack and Session, Session only or Media rack only) as well.

- Loads of bug fixes (see change log).
