with SPF 15. Warm Almond 45 is the 2nd lightest shade out of the 7 available. Don't worry the darkest shade is really for dark skinned gals. :)

Upon seeing in the label the word “Ageless”, I quickly thought it was something for my mom. I was scared of using anti-aging products as some ingredients are not suited for my oily skin. I decided that I’ll give her the foundation after trying it once. I changed my mind. After applying it on my face, I saw how great my skin looks already. My face feels smooth and lines/pores/imperfections soften a bit like it was lightly photoshopped. It looks so natural also that I don’t need to set it with a powder, its better on its own. So, no..this product is sticking with me. I sense that I’ll be using this a lot. Plus the fact that it’s oil-free, makes my skin jump for joy. Hehe. :)

Is Clarisonic just a hype or the real thing? I’m really curious to know so I ordered one from skincarerx. I was supposed to order from skincarestore as they have one in fuchsia (pink gal) and on sale but they don’t ship to my country and not allowed to ship to other shipping addresses. I ordered from the very reliable skincarerx a clarisonic mia in turquoise (and on sale too) plus the deep pore cleansing brush head, I heard it’s nice! Although Skincarerx doesn’t allow shipping to the Philippines, it allows shipping to other addresses that I was able to use the services of Johnny Air. Johnny air offers a shop online service for orders from US going to our country. More expensive than forex/balikbayan box but it takes faster to arrive.

Overall I was happy with my purchase.

But how do I find the product?

I'm still on the testing stage so I can't say its a keeper for me. For 2 weeks, I used the clarisonic twice a day (day and night). Though my face became soft and smooth, some areas became more sensitive and red. The upper area of my right cheek became so sensitive that it stings every time I wash my face (even the mildest cleanser). I stopped for a few days but continued my testing with just once a day use. So far, I haven't seen any drastic changes just the soft squeaky clean face. Sometimes, I still get sensitive on the upper area of my right cheeks, but I can't ignore the fact that it really cleans the skin well and removes all traces of makeup and dirt. I'll give this a few weeks more.. hope it does work..or its off to the sale bin!

I remember the unique-shaped red/blue cap that everytime I see one, I get the itch to rotate the screwy looking thingy even if it doesn’t work that way, lol. From a young me having a blurry memory of my cousin getting one for a gift and listening to older schoolmates talk among themselves that they prefer the blue (for guys) one over the red, to now- upon telling people I’m going to a fragrance event by Benetton, they’ll say : “hot & cold ba yan?”; Hot & Cold are still known and popular today. And after almost 15 years of the iconic status of hot and cold, new participants to the cult line are launched: The modern and sophisticated Hot Gold and Cold Silver. I stand corrected as Benetton has a lot of fragrance lines (a lot lot). United Colors of Benetton also launched new scents for the Colori Line, Benetton Black(Bianco) and Benetton White(Nero). For additional knowledge, Colori Line started with four colors: Red(Rosso), Yellow(Giallo), Green(Verde) and Blue(Blu) which are inspired by the colorful world of Benetton. This line is targeted for the young-ish crowd (15-25yrs old) as it’s like the fun, fresh and trendy scents to use for different moods. As I’ve said I only know Hot & Cold before as the fragrances of Benetton and this to me is new but it seems I’m for this line as it’s more me *ahem*. Lol.

Out of all the nyx lipsticks, I seem to favor the matte line. And this second possession, didn't disappoint. Nyx matte in pure red is a creamy matte lipstick with great pigmentation. The color you see on the tube is the color you'll get when applied on..very OPAQUE. Though its matte in general, it's very easy to apply (think of mac ruby woo but glides smoothly). Of course, it's still red so you still have to be careful upon application. Red can be messy.

This is a bright blue based lipstick with a kick of orange. Perfect for warm skin toned gals.

I really enjoy applying nyx matte lippies and see how it goes so opaque on my lips..I'm just amazed!! Throw your round lipsticks and get yourself from the matte line..it is way better. LOL. :)

The eyeshadow itself is about 2x the size of a mac eyeshadow, so this will really last a long time. I find this a professional palette as its really really good. Great pigmentation, not powdery, doesn't crack, blends easily..and much more. For 1800php (around $40) this is a great value for the money.

I know there are a lot of fake mac products sold everywhere with different containers, labels, palettes and limited editions that are never heard of. Those are honestly bearable coz when you see the products, they look really fake, sold cheap or just labelled class A or something.

What disgusts me is when a product looks really authentic and claimed 100% authentic by a seller with great feedbacks is in fact fake.

FAKE MAC MSF NATURAL IN LIGHT:

I bought this online from a reputable seller. Funny thing, I searched google first to see if there are fake mac msf natural prods but I didn't see anything. I decided to get it coz the price is 1450php (around $30) which is the normal price in other countries and 300php ($6.50) cheaper than buying from a mac local store. I never thought someone will sell a fake for almost the same price as the original one.

When I opened the container, I got a whiff of a distinct smell which is not what I remember of mac. Then I saw the powder itself having a patchy shade/texture and has minimal shimmers, quickly I got my old empty pan of mac msf natural in light to compare. Examining the empty container, I texted the seller to ask if its fake. I'm not going to use the product if still hesitant of its authenticity right? But I was assured by the seller that its original as it was bought from US and that a lot of makeup artists already bought this product from her. Because of this, I tried the product on my face and that’s when I was convinced it’s really fake. I actually find it good but it didn’t give me the effect I love when using mac msf natural. I won't risk my face and thus, I got a brand new one from a mac retail store. (msf is HG for me, cannot live without!)

ORIGINAL/AUTHENTIC MAC MSF NATURAL IN LIGHT:

And yup, conclusion.. There is a fake mac msf natural circulating that looks authentic. If you're not a mac user/addict, there is no way to know.

Salon Hair Color: L'oreal Essensity Light Ash Brown

I've been getting my hair done every 3mos (or less) at David's Salon Kapitolyo Branch for a year now. They know my hair well and get exactly the color I want.

I think its just 2 months, I decided to get my hair colored again.

Old color was ash brown. I didn't want to bleach my hair to get the exact color ash brown as its DAMAGED already so the color looks reddish as my previous color was red.

I wasn't able to take a pic and got one the morning after. Went back to get highlights as it was already late when I had it colored.

colored to l'oreal essensity ash brown again to cover the fading. no bleaching again but its all ok. I'm getting my hair red again..hopefully soon. If I learn how to maintain it.

They only had a few hours to get all the other things done cuz I have work.

thin streaks of highlights. not too much for me as I'm not really a fan of highlights, just needed it for my hair woes.

They did a good job with the highlights, its growing on me but I still love my plain colored hair, especially red.

I just want to share a pic of my previous previous hair color (TOTALLY LOVE!) but it fades big time..

RED! my fave color up to now but I find it hard to maintain. Bleeds every shower.

Anybody knows how to keep red hair to last longer? Once I know, I'll go back to this color..but for now, experiment. LOL!

How do I find the product?

I still can't believe a product this good is a drugstore find. I got the oiliest lids I know that even fluidline and bobbi brown cant last without smudging on the lower part. But this product, doesn't seem to budge. Even in crying conditions *lalalala...SWEAR! No raccoon eyes! Its really creamy and easy to apply . The only gripe I have is with the purple liner that applying in one stroke will not give a solid color line. Needs another stroke to cover some areas. And I forgot to mention, my mom got me this. I didn't get this product sooner as I read reviews that this dries easily. Yes, I have patience when buying makeup I see on stores. I make it a point to read online reviews first no matter what. So since its just a gift, I have no choice. A positive thing actually. But lets wait and see on how long before it dries up. I haven't finished a gel liner since I started using one cuz mine always dries up before it reaches the end. :( so lets see with this brand.

Hello guys! :) I'm feeling a little giddy today so decided something vibrant for my eyes. Being a neutral shadow gal, tinkering with other colors scare me so its still something safe and not bold combination of colors.

facial masks newbie

I got persuaded on facial masks by reading beauty blogs raving on my beauty diary, silk whitia, etc. I quickly put on cart some items at SASA online and it totaled $95 for facial masks only (around 6-7 boxes with 5-10 masks each box)..whoah. Then it hit me, I'm not a sheet mask user..why spend a lot..I'm just gonna try..I don't even know if I'll like the effect on me! So yes decided to leave my online cart behind and just buy locally first as its way too much for someone who's got no idea about sheet/gel mask. Though I heard its better than other types of mask.

For a person just trying first on sheet masks, 13 pcs sure is a lot..I think?!? (oopsie..one gel mask) hehe..its to compare.:P But hey, its still cheaper $11-12 than the supposed to be $95.

With 500php sm gift certificate to spend, I headed to watsons and find me some facial masks. This is the lot I got myself. Watsons sure is the place to go to as they offer a lot of choices so just imagine how long it took me to settle on these.

Then I remembered I still have some aztec clay + apple cider vinegar. Last time I used this product was 2-3 years ago..not sure lol.

I got this before after reading its good for oily skin. Just a one time thing for me before, maybe I didn't see any WOWing effect..made me lazy to continue on..I guess. Will be using again as it was stupid for me before to judge the product with just a one time use.

Ugly sad face+peace sign..doesn't really look good together..haha.

Told you I haven't used this product recently, I don't know how to put evenly and how thick it should be.. :)
Anyhoo, I'll try each and see if I'll be liking the effects of sheet mask. And if I enjoyed them, I'll get myself the fave ones..My beauty diary and Silk Whitia. Yay! :0 I'm still not sure of the importance of mask though. Hopefully, by trying, I'll know. Lets see if this will be a regular thing for me or just a phase. :)

Though Covergirl Philippines released their Lip Perfection line months ago and me being late mentioning it, doesn’t mean that I don’t love the line. In fact, I neglected mac for a month or two because of their lipstick. That's how much I like it and willing to put myself to test it. Lol.

And it’s true. Even going beyond the limit proves it effectivity. For the challenge, I made sure not to put balms or other lip products..just the lip perfection lipstick. And yes, I even made it my night lip conditioner. After a few days, my lips still has the same color (mentality that lipstick makes lips dark) and didn’t flake at all. My problem with lippies is that I can’t retouch in the middle of the day as my lips become flaky and putting a layer on top of it will just increase and magnify the flakiness. Ick. So yes I was able to retouch a number of times within a day without any or just little signs of flakiness during the first few days (very very minimal). Though I felt that it didn’t make my lips more soft and smooth during the challenge and it just felt my normal “balmed” lips, come on, it’s still lipstick..applying lipstick without negative effects (dryness,flakiness,creasing,etc.) is a good thing. It exceeded my expectations as it worked far better than other lipsticks and has the same effect of the basic lip balms.

The problems I have with the lip perfection lipstick are the availability and finish. Not all the colors are available in the Philippines and some quickly gets out of stock. Like temptress which after a few months of waiting is still not available. Am I just unlucky to not always be at the right place and time? ...geesh. If you’re like me who gets uneasy til I get the makeup item I want, then it’s troublesome, lol. The colour payoff is not bad as it is a what you see is what you get product but most of it has frost finish that I don’t find suiting for my face. I just don’t like duo chromes on lippies. I have big lips and uneven features that it’s not fitting. :P But that’s all..if you already found a colour the suits you, then it’s a keeper.

A Big YES, as long as you find a shade that goes well with you..you are very lucky. The Mattes are better in my preference.

Before Using the Product..

As active as I am when it comes to putting on makeup, smearing lotion on my skin is a different story. I don’t see the point of using as there are no desirable effects, for me at least. I live in a tropical country and it will just make me feel sticky and greasy; and when in air-conditioned room, will just not help in any way the dryness of my skin. Also, I feel it takes a lot of time to put on and I’m the girl who’s always in the nick of time. Well, blame the thoughts to the majority of lotions sold in our country that I believe does absolutely nothing; only provide irksome feeling on a hot day. But seriously, I can tell you I lack knowledge when it comes to lotions. I don’t take time to browse, read and search for the best or just allow myself to be a guinea pig in trying such that I feel makes me one sided with only the knowledge that since a lotion is not good, all lotions are not good . Wrong thinking right as it is very much important to take care of the skin. I do wear sunblock don’t get me wrong but the moisturization/hydration part is what I’m lacking. When Nivea released the claim “Repairs 8 SIGNS of dry skin” for a lotion, I got intrigued – not excited intrigued but uncertainty intrigued. A lot of product claims to do this and that it’s all in one, but only a few lives up to their promises so it’s really questionable (according to some people, not me..I still haven’t found a promising lotion). And again I lack knowledge on this stuff so dry skin is just DRY skin no other 8 signs, lol. But well, it will still tackle having dry skin, and my skin is dry so.. Lets evaluate me: Dry – Yes, Redness – a little, rough – heel area, tight – sometimes the face, flaky – yes, dull –yes, itchy – depends on the air temp, peeling –sometimes. A BIG hmmm..

After using the Product..

Not all lotions are bad after all. It pleases me to say that I found a lotion that works for me. Though it’s early to say that it repaired my 8 signs of dry skin, I love the softness and smoothness it gives after just one application. And what’s good about the product is it lasts long. Ex. Went out for 15 hours and after my skin still feels soft and smooth, the way it felt the morning. No sticky or greasy feeling. The thing I love most about Nivea is the light soft clean scent all their products seem to have and this particular lotion gives just that. I sometimes caught myself sniffing my skin..hehe. Again, I don’t know if this will give permanent effect on the skin if used regulary but the immediate results are promising.

proving how much I love the product..chose nivea express hydration body lotion over sunblock as I was rushing to the launch and can only apply one product..(and I call myself a loyal sunblock user) :p

I say..

No harm in trying as it is a good lotion after all plus the price starts at 36php (less than $1), so you really won’t lose anything. The only thing missing in this product is SPF. But if it will lessen the effect of the lotion, no..I’d rather layer my skin with sunblock and the orig product. Then again, if they make one with high spf retaining all the great effects of the product, nivea express hydration body lotion..Godsent! lol. But still it tops my list as the best..for now. :)

Hi everyone. To start off, I'd like to apologize for not blogging. I've been trying to keep this updated, ts just that I've been really busy with a lot of things for the past 2 weeks. I'm really sorry. Anywhoo, I just want to show you guys my new hair. I do experiment a lot with my hair and this time I got a perm. Yeah yeah..I also prefer it straight but well..having it takes effort *ahem flat iron.. and usually I just go for the lazy bun as my natural hair is just messy. So well..this is definitely better than my normal hair.

Love it or hate it?? I love it and I command you to do too..lol! :P I find this style more practical and handy to my way of life. But don't worry, my fickle mind will have me sport another hairstyle in a few weeks or so..;) Like just 2 weeks ago I dyed my hair red and right now, I'm wanting dark brown with highlights. Hayzz..I'm really damaging my hair..hope it won't get mad at me..lol!

As I told you guys before my lippies are mostly pink and nude shades. You can like count in one hand the number of dark shades I own..(and I call myself a makeup artist, geesh!) I know I reviewed the 32 lip color palette which is composed of a lot of colors but the things is, I don't like how it smelled..so I don't use it on my clients. The fear of maybe it will cause reactions or make lips darker..i'm not saying it will as I tried it..but its putting on another person who trusts you with their face..nuff said. Only the best when doing makeup on other people. :) Lucky that i do survive with my lip collection when doing gigs but seriously..the time will come when I'm presented with women of color that I cannot insist anymore of my restricted range of lippies! This is the best choice for me as Graftobian is a known makeup brand for professional makeup. They do have sets of 5 color lip palette but I wanted shades on different palette..so what the heck, I got the super palette!! :D

Truth be told, I only justified myself above about the purchase..I got this lip palette cuz its pretty and compact. lol.

Sorry for the patchy application of the colors, applied a heavy lip balm underneath each try.. :( It may look sheer in the pics but let me tell you its really pigmented. Pigmented and creamy (no matte). The lightest shade covered the actual color of my lips (except the gloss). I might not use the gloss at all as I prefer the gooey kind. The only shade that didn't translate upon application is Savage, which is my only rant on this product. I was hoping for a dark plum but it just gave a maroon color. All in all its a keeper especially for me when doing makeup on other people that you need a wide range of colors. It has all the basic lipstick needs! :)
