Munski brings more than a decade of account management, project management and online marketing expertise to MJD. He will be charged with managing client relationships, as well as integrated marketing strategy.

Munski comes to MJD from BusinessOnline where he held multiple positions over the last seven years including Project Manager, Information Architect, Director of Web Development and Online Marketing Strategist. His ability to wear many hats is particularly valuable to his new agency. “We call people like Jason “unicorns” because frankly, they don’t seem to exist. His ability to not only have knowledge of so many aspects of a digital agency, but to truly excel at all of them is rare to say the least,” said Duimstra. “He is going to be instrumental instilling the new direction of our agency – to Redefine Interactive™. He will help develop an overarching strategy with both traditional online interaction points such as a site and online marketing, with bleeding edge technology such as mobile apps and interactive environments.”

MJD has been working in Drupal for years and have recently been selected as an Acquia Enterprise Partner, joining only a handful of Drupal experts in the world at this level. The new site puts a great deal of emphasis on social interaction with Bad Boy’s audience. Integration with Facebook, Twitter, and Google services were a priority from the beginning to help customers interact with the brand and their favorite athletes. The robust experience includes a dedicated Community section to bring longtime supporters and new fans of the brand into the conversation. The site will also feature content rich photo and video galleries, constantly updated news, and a completely renovated state of the art shopping experience.

The site was built with Drupal and Drupal Commerce as the Content Management System and e-Commerce framework. “Drupal and Drupal Commerce allowed us to do some really cutting-edge things on the site. Bad Boy sponsors some of the elite MMA fighters in the world, such as Mauricio “Shogun” Rua and Ross Pearson. We were able to combine social elements like an athlete’s Facebook and Twitter feed, along with novel things like an athlete locker which shows fans what gear each athlete uses, along with an easy path to purchase those items,” said Jeremy Duimstra, CEO of MJD Interactive Agency. “We are launching an online marketing campaign with the site launch that focuses on search engine optimization, paid search, and heavily on social marketing. Both Christian and Oliveira bring years of experience and cutting edge technologies to MJD. Christian will be charged with managing the development team, core technologies, agile processes and project delivery. Oliveira will be heading up the mobile app division as well as assisting with web development.

Christian comes to MJD from Rovi, Inc. where he was a lead engineer participating in the acquisition and integration activities of DivX, Inc. His duties included re-architecting the bulk of Divx, Inc’s software and consumer electronics certification platform. Prior to that he spent time at BakBone Software as a Program Manager overseeing the high volume schedule of BakBone’s geo-diverse development effort. Christian has an incredible depth of technical experience including being an expert witness for the San Diego District Attorney’s office for computer crime, large scale user infrastructure management at the San Diego Super Computer Center, and e-Commerce experience dating back to 1995. He has tested experience with large e-Commerce implementations, current internet technologies and expertise in a wide range of programming languages. This combined with his technology management and leadership skills make him a much anticipated strategic addition to MJD Interactive executive team.

Prior to joining MJD, Oliveira worked at Action Creations in San Diego where he created mobile apps with Adobe Air, iOS, and Android, social media applications, and immersive web sites. Before that he worked at E Factor Media creating augmented reality apps and other interactive projects. Arthur hails from Brazil, and came to the U.S. to attend the University of California, San Diego. He specializes in iOS, Android, Actionscript 3, PHP, MySQL, Javascript, HTML and CSS.

In 2009, Gary and Mary West founded the West Wireless Health Institute, a nonprofit medical research organization, to identify ways to lower health care costs through technology. With the launch of the West Health Investment Fund, the Wests have put an additional $100 million of their own money to work to provide capital to companies creating novel solutions to the health care cost problem.

MJD Interactive was hired mere weeks before the site was set to go live and produced a highly customized site that was cohesive with the new branding initiative of the fund.

We designed the site to use animated panels of content to keep things simple and clean, while giving people the information they need. We built the site using Drupal as the Content Management System. They needed a CMS that was highly scalable for future content updates as well as building a solid technology platform for future initiatives,” said Jeremy Duimstra, Co-Founder of MJD Interactive Agency. “Those were the technical design challenges that were overcome. We also had a great time utilizing the new branding guidelines to create what we think is a very modern, visually stunning site.”
