Dave Richards has been producing a mixture of tribal, tech and progressive music for about ten years now. He has had releases on Next Dimension Music, PWM Records, Deeplife Records and more. Dave has worked with many producers over the years including Van Lazarux, Dima, Sheltershed, Aesias Finale and more. His work is respected by Shiloh, Greg ‘Stryke’ Chin, Tim Richards, Joel Armstrong and many others.

In 2002, he became the owner of Tastyfresh.com and since then has developed the site’s name and favorable reputation across both the Christian and secular scenes. 2007 marked a huge change for Dave as he became the host of Tastyfresh Presents… which is a podcast that features DJs and producers who also happen to be Christians.

In addition to this, Dave is the stage manager for the Afterhours Dance Club at the Cornerstone Music Festival. The festival itself is over 25 years old and has had an EDM stage since at least 1997. In 2007, the stage manager’s mantle was passed on to Dave. Since then the stage has been rebranded and has featured some of the hottest acts in EDM today including: Kenneth Thomas, Joel Armstrong, Greg ‘Stryke’ Chin, Topher Jones and Tim Richards.

Currently, Dave works as the label manager for MK837 with his partner in crime Kevin Oneel. World domination through “Jelly Doughnut” diplomacy is sure to follow.

In the Southeast United States, musical tradition runs as deep as the rivers that flow into the Gulf of Mexico. Generations of talented artists hone their craft, inspired by the Blue Ridge Mountains, the Tennessee River Valley, the Emerald Coast, Bayou Country, or whatever their local surroundings may be. Small communities all along the Appalachian Mountains are home to musicians who bring their own touch to sounds created by their ancestors from all across the world. As time passes, the heritage of the South continues to evolve under the loving care of new generations of musicians, all eager to put their own stamp on the musical tradition of their forefathers.

Kevin Oneel is no exception. Kevin calls upon the memories of not only modern Electronic Music to work his craft, but traditional Southern styles like Bluegrass, Gospel, Country and Zydeco. A firm believer that no one style can stand alone on its own merits, Oneel always looks to use different flavors and different feels from his roots to influence artist progression. Aside from staying true to his roots, Kevin also tries to make sure he always has fun while making his music. Oneel is a firm believer in not taking himself too seriously, nor his music. Kevin Oneel believes too many artists these days forget to do the one thing they expect their listeners to do, and that’s simply enjoying music.

Not only an accomplished producer with releases on labels like Ascension, PWM, NDM, Uncovered, Horris, Universal, BTU, Tektak and MK837, Kevin Oneel is a well rounded DJ talent also. His 14+ years of experience have taken him all over to perform for appreciative audiences everywhere. Kevin has appeared on radio shows around the world and the host of multiple podcasts.

Episode 8 of Broken Arrow has arrived! We have a sweet deep house mix from Deep Dementure featuring some really smooth tracks to compliment his own original tracks.

Antony Shields is Deep Dementure, a DJ and producer from Leeds, England. For Antony, the first time he saw a DJ spinning those wheels of steel in the 90′s, he knew that this art was for him. After months of saving every penny he earned, he finally took the plunge and bought his first pair of Technics 1210′s, and Deep Dementure was born.

From then on there was no turning back, he was hooked into a life-long addiction to vinyl, clubs, and festival weekends. In 2001, he moved from local Bar DJ to city club DJ and met, studio and label owners, Baddudes. He then quickly found himself moving into the studio environment, it was here that he learned his skills and released his first vocal house track ‘Cant Wait’. This gave him afresh taste for music and sent him tumbling deeper into the world of production.

So what’s the future hold for Deep Dementure? In 2011 Deep Dementure moved into his own studio and he continues to produce deep and funky house. Currently working on new EPs, he has a number of new tracks set to be released in June 2011 on MK837 Records and Purple Gate Records.

In 2008, Shelby Callaway decided to serve his country in the military forces and put his music career on hold. For 2 years he trained with the army, and was then deployed to Afghanistan for a year. He brought along a few essentials in the hopes of doing a little production in his free time when he wasn’t on duty. He produced Kate’s Song and Slipstream while he was overseas. When he got home, he submitted them to Deeplife Records and PWM Records. Deeplife and PWM enthusiastically took on Shelby’s projects, and quickly released them with multiple remixes. They became instant hits all over the world. Shelby Callaway is quickly becoming a household name and you can expect to see much more of Shelby in the coming future! Keep an eye out for his new release “Take That” coming out on MK837 this month with remix support from Deeflash, Tommie Boy, and Bad Robotz.

For March we have a killer mix from Craig Williams. This is a recording from a show recently where he opened for MSTRKRFT. Craig opened the night with some underground fidget style electro. He went back and forth on the decks between his own remixes and some underground house, lighting the fire to heat up the night.

Born in Melbourne, Victoria, Craig Williams started his love of music early. Whether it was listening to heavy metal with his brother or playing the Doors in the car with his Dad, Craig loved music. Most weekends were spent making the trip into the city to go through and explore record stores trying to find that new sound. As he grew, he played in a couple of punk bands and worked in a bakery whilst finishing school. This is where he was first exposed to dance music. He would spend his Saturday nights working and listening to banging beats and driving synth lines… he had found the new sound he was looking for.

In the studio Craig’s work is gaining momentum and drive with each track, spending tireless hours at the desk trying to perfect the sound that has come to be Craig Williams. His remixes and original tracks indicate a range and musicianship that makes Craig Williams a force to be reckoned with in his own right. Covering a variety of genres from Ozzy Osbourne to The Presets and soon to be released remix of Method Man’s Dangerous MCs, Craig shows that he does not limit himself to one style while still staying true to the music.

For more from Craig Williams, check out his SoundCloud page at soundcloud.com/craigwilliamsmusic.
