]]>We have had Clyde now for a little over five months. He was found by a local rescue organization on the side of the road hit by a car. He could not use his hind legs when he was brought into the vet but he recovered quickly. By the time we met him he was mostly recovered. The only time we notice that he had an issue is sometimes when he sits or runs his legs go a little "akimbo". He is a classic fun loving cat and is fitting well into the family.

]]>emClangula hyemalis/embr/Barnegat Island, NJbr/ br/Even though the temperature was a balmy 48 degrees when we left the car, it felt much, much colder in the high winds at the end of the Barnegat Jetty. For about an hour there were flocks of Long-tailed Ducks, Harlequin Ducks, Suft Scoters, and Red-tailed Loons to keep us occupied. Our good luck faded quickly when a large fishing boat passed through the channel. It is funny how much colder it feels when there are no birds around. :)
