It’s the marketers broken record.  On and on it goes.  Why no one follows nobody knows.

Perhaps one reason most new marketers don’t follow the “Pick One Strategy” method is because they’re consumed with the buffet syndrome. 

Everything looks so good doesn’t it?  Our senses are awakened by the smells, our eyes dazzled by the colors and display, our minds excited we found that buffet coupon in Sunday’s Super Coupon Clipper we just subscribed to.  “Waste not, want not” as the saying goes; better pile up!  However the fact is the amount of food one can actually ingest in one sitting compared to the engineering skill of piling food pyramids onto a single plate, plus dessert plate and second entree plate differ greatly.

Same goes with the mind.  Overwhelm and overload set in rapidly when new marketers attempt to learn every internet marketing strategy at the get go.  Understanding the fact that we can only process one bit of information at a time will help ease feelings of overwhelm.  Imagine a flashlight flashing on and off, on and off.  That’s how the brain processes information – not on and off at the same time but at two separate intervals.

But where in the world do you start when the plates aren’t lined up on one side?

When tackling unfamiliar marketing strategies first assess the foundation of the strategy to see if it’s a good fit for your natural interests and abilities.  Is it based on writing?  Is it based on video?  Is it based on systematic distribution and management content?  Is it based on the ability to reach out to others and make genuine connections?

It’s up to the new marketer to figure out where their natural skill sets lean toward.  That’s the best place to start.  Start in an area that excites you and puts you in a state of flow where the time just flies by.

My story starts out in January of 2010. I was 20 years old and had just dropped out of college. I found myself working at McDonald’s full time making minimum wage. I had to wake up at 3am every morning to be there at 4am, which was crazy, but I did it. I had no idea what I wanted to do in life.

On March 31st, I got into business for myself. Not even 3 weeks later, I was introduced to MLSP, for which I was very thankful for because I saw the value in the system right away and it answered the questions why spamming on Facebook wasn’t working, and hence discovered attraction marketing.

I struggled for about 100 days, but it was well worth it. I knew from the start that I was going to figure out how to make this work. I persisted, until August when I got the training I needed with Facebook PPC (a paid strategy on a minimum wage budget, no less!). I ended up sponsoring 42 people in 60 days into MLSP in the fall of 2010 before going full time into my business in November.

After a rough start to 2011, I was given a chance I didn’t deserve when I found out MLSP was giving away a free VIP ticket to No Excuses 2 (thanks also to Nancy Beach for the ticket!). I found out the day before the event that I had won, and I made the journey across the country the next day. NES2 was a game changer for me – the biggest takeaway I got was from Tim Erway, and in short, he talked about creating your own info marketing products. I created my Facebook PPC product, the Maximum Facebook PPC Profits just a few weeks after the summit, and my product line has now become the backbone of my business. Bottom-line: Show up to events

In the summer of 2011 Magnetic Sponsoring and No Excuses featured me on a few different e-mail blasts my story on how I was able to sell my Facebook PPC product with no capture page, no sales letter, and no affiliate program with just social media and talking to people. This established a lot of credibility to my brand and helped pave the way for my success that summer and in the fall.

Shortly after turning 22 in September, I knew I had to start getting myself into SEO (search engine optimization) and build my business long term, and through Rob Fore’s training I was able to hit the jackpot with it very quickly, and starting getting a lot of traffic to my videos and blog. From mid-September to mid-October I generated about 700 leads and signed up 22 people into MLSP. With these results I released my own SEO product, Maximum SEO Profits, which also has become a vital part to my business.

This month alone, I generated over 835 leads and signed up 34 people into MLSP, by far my best month with the system. In total I’ve generated over 5,000 leads and put in over 115 people into MLSP. I am living proof that if you work hard, not make excuses, study internet marketing, invest in yourself, and emulate what leaders do, you can absolutely have success with MLSP and in your business. Just two years ago I was a college drop out working a minimum wage job full time, and it goes to show you that you don’t need a deep budget to make this work. Anything is possible when you put your mind to it. Winners will ALWAYS find a way to succeed. Now go out there and make it happen!

“Your management of time will dictate the velocity of success” – Ray Higdon

Dean and I joined our primary NM company in October 2010. We stumbled around in the dark clueless about how to build this business for several months. Then we found MLSP. We are on the morning wake up calls every day and rarely miss a training webinar. We attended LTD2 and Dean participated in the Monday Workshop Intensive.

The morning wake up calls help keep us focused on our work and in touch with our online marketing community. This is so important because it can be easy to feel isolated when you work from home. It only takes 20-30 minutes of our time each day to get more value, support and encouragement than most network marketers are able to get in an entire week. Plus, I get more blog post ideas from that call than anywhere else.

We’re such regulars on the call that many people in the community know Dean as “Dean from Atlanta”. At LTD2 several people knew who we were because they recognized “Dean from Atlanta’s” voice and they came up to introduce themselves in person. How cool is that? I would encourage everyone to take a few minutes to be on these calls. Not only will you get value from the talk, but you’ll get exposure in the form of lots of people getting to know who you are. That’s key in building your network of contacts.

Since joining MLSP here’s what we’ve discovered: it is so much more than just a marketing system. It’s a community of marketing professionals providing support, resources, encouragement, tools and training. The members of this community are here to help each other out. We can’t tell you how many times we’ve needed some kind of help and a member has just stepped up to do whatever they can. And this without asking for anything in return.

We love that we’re able to be a part of a community where we’re able to both give and receive the support we need. And the training from MLSP itself is off-the-charts fantastic.

The quality of the people we have met inside the MLSP community, the friends we’ve made, the relationships we’ve developed have been worth the cost of the membership alone.

Building a business together as a couple is such a rewarding experience. We’re able to provide support, encouragement and accountability to each other. We call it our very own mastermind group.
