I would like to raise a point of order here and point out the mind-boggling levels of irony that:

This comic is hosted on a Blogger site, a company bought and managed by Google.

This site is on the internet and therefore by the logic in this post, can't be trusted.

Your previous post was praising Google+, a product of Google, Inc.

Make no mistake, I'm no fan of Google. I am a HUGE fan of instantaneous information and wished that more books were being converted to e-books. But I feel that in the spirit of intellectual honesty, someone had to talk about the elephant in the room.

Chiming in 'cause educating librarians about affiliate sites has apparently turned into my personal quest.

The goal of charts (and lists) like this one from sites like Masters Degree Online is to be link-bait and
judging by my RSS and my Facebook feeds, it’s doing a great job. These
online degree sites in particular seems to focus on librarians fairly
often.

The chart was created (quickly and with some questionable sources) by a company that makes all kinds of infographics
(obizmedia) at the request of a site whose goal is to get a kickback
from people signing up for online degree programs
(master-degree-online). By getting
librarians talking about – and linking to – their graph, they have
increased their search engine ranking. We’d do better to ignore them for
the spam they are.
My description of affiliate sites from one of the other times these types of sites were getting a lot of link love:
http://ellieheartslibraries.wo...

No, copyright law does not give us the right to make paper copies of paper books unless it is in the public domain or one has permission from the copyright holder. Nor does it give a purchaser rights to redistribute the work. Users do have the right, however, to make a personal archive or back-up of purchased electronic software and (in my humble opinion) this should be extended to eBooks, as well. If I want a paper copy, then why shouldn't I be able to print it out?

http://www.copyright.gov/help/...

We have the right to make paper copies of paper books? When were the copyright laws repealed?

While one's actual reading of paper books may not be recorded, what one purchased and when certainly is.

As know virtually nothing of html and javascript, it's a great help.

I've got a problem however. The thumbnails are shown, but not in the section I've placed them in. Wheter I place the element in the central ore side columns, the thumbnails are always shown on the bottom. Do you know what could be the cause of this?

Thanks!
