This site has every imaginable manipulative in virtual form. From dice rolling to pattern blocks you will find what you need to supplement the digital version for the real thing at the click of a mouse. One of my personal favorites is the Towers of Hanoi, great for spatial reasoning and problem-solving.

Scholastic offers a site to teachers, students and parents which can offer information driven by a topic search. The site is updated according to upcoming or current events. Students can find out information about their favorite authors as well as play some activities or watch videos for background information on characters in a story.

When I am training teachers, I spend a lot of time trying to make the topic relavant to student learning. I also put a lot of thought into making the topic, whether it is a piece of harware, software, website or other technology relavant to the teachers. If they see the importance and can justify its use, they will be a user and promoter of technology. Many voices are louder than that of one, especially when it comes to the integration of technology.

Our math curriculum, Everyday Math, teaches students new ways of computation. These different methods are often foreign to parents. This site has short tutorial videos showing how to solve the problems using these algorithms. Students could also benefit from hearing the information multiple times.
