Gravity’s gorgeous fullscreen User Interface has been further improved and is now available for all Symbian platforms: Symbian^3, S60v5 and S60v3.

Gravity comes with its own beautifully designed virtual keyboard for touchscreen based phones. Of course, the keyboard is also compatible with portrait mode.

A lot of work has been spent on polishing the user interface. If you look closely at Gravity’s new UI, you will see round edges, engraved buttons and shadows for a three-dimensional look & feel and of course semi-transparent controls wherever they enhance the user experience.

The Facebook section of Gravity has been rewritten and it supports Messages, Notifications, Viewing of Users’ Wall Posts, Posting to a User’s Wall and features a new Post & Comments View.

Gravity was already nominated as a finalist for the category Best Mobile Twitter App in the Mashable Awards 2009.

Without user participation, Gravity wouldn’t be what it is today

Gravity received an incredible amount of feedback and praise from users all around the world.

It has been used when presenting the Nokia N97 at the Wall Street Journal’s All Things Digital conference with Walt Mossberg and Nokia’s CEO Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo. It has been mentioned in various keynotes and won many user surveys. There was even a TV commercial featuring Gravity.

Starting with a very limited set of features for Twitter, Gravity now has become a fully integrated social networking client with additional support for Foursquare, Google Reader and Facebook.

This has been a joint effort mainly driven by the overwhelming user feedback. Users are constantly testing Gravity and most importantly requesting new features or even asking for integration of new services.

Symbian - Platform of Choice for Gravity

Gravity has set a new standard for S60 applications. It has proven that the Symbian platform can deliver a fresh user interface with a user experience that’s not falling behind the iPhone UI.

It has also shown that it’s possible to create a benchmark application with limited resources and at the same time establish a sustainable business on the Symbian platform.

2010 will be an even more exciting year for Gravity

Gravity will be continuously improved throughout the following months. Along with the internal & necessary changes to support Twitter OAuth and the upcoming Symbian^3 and Symbian^4 platform, Gravity will see more features for Facebook and Foursquare as well as the addition of other promising services like Plancast.

The News Reader in Gravity supports all the features you’d need: showing posts sorted into folders, reading a post, adding/removing a star, sharing/unsharing a post via Google Reader, searching all your posts stored in Google Reader and of course tweeting about a post with automatic URL shortening.

The dashboard for Google Reader conveniently shows all of your folders and displays the locally unread posts along with the unread posts in your Google Reader account. You can easily “Catch Up!” to read all your unread posts one after another.

The Google Reader feature in Gravity supports ZLIB compression to highly reduce the traffic (~ 70%) and of course offers two-way synchronization of your read/unread, starred and shared posts.

With the new release 1.17, Gravity offers a powerful settings section for fine tuning your Tweeting needs. Set individual auto-update times for your Timeline, Replies, DM’s, Favourites and Search Tabs.

You can freely configure any ringing tone and volume for the Timeline, your Replies, your Direct Messages and each Search Tab.

The conversation view will show you the “reply-to” tweet and the recent conversation between two Twitter users.

Features explained:

The built-in Flash ScreenVideo codec creates standard FLV flash videos compatible with the Adobe Flash Player Version 6 and above. The codec is using an inter-frame based and lossless compression. For creating high quality YouTube videos, Remote Professional can record a video with 480×360 pixels and 30 frames per second either by upscaling the phone screen or by adding artificial noise to ’spoof’ a valid HQ source.
