Samsung has joined with T-Mobile Europe and the Elite Model Management agency to release a few more special edition phones - Samsung Elite C3050 and the Samsung Elite Preston S5600. These two cell phones will be available in the Netherlands, and will available only in an exclusive white version.

The Samsung Elite Preston S5600 that will come with a Ti Sento Charming bracelet, while the SamsungElite C3050 will have a Ti Sento phone strap. No word on whether these two Samsung phones will be available only in the Netherlands or will become available in other European countries too.

You know, we could have waited till August to feast our eyes on the Chocolate successor, and if LG had been able to keep this promotional video under wraps for just a few more days, they could have had the grand opening that they had planned for. The authenticity of the above video is debatable, but the video itself looks professional enough and confirms many of the features that we heard about a while back and more. According to the promo, the BL40, the fourth cellphone in LG's Black Label series, will have a huge 4-inch (not 3 inches like we heard the last time) touchscreen display that is not only capable of 800x345 pixel resolution and a 21:9 aspect ratio, but can do multi-touch too. Other rumored features like a 5-megapixel camera, HSDPA 7.2Mbps support, and WiFi are all accounted for and the Flash-based 3D interface looks like a joy to touch through. A worthy iPhone competitor or not, the BL40 sure looks like a great heir to the ever popular LG Chocolate. Watch the video above and tell us if you think the same too!

LG has its very own 12-megapixel phone. The LG GC990 Louvre is going to be available at some point in the future but it has decided to make an appearance. The phone will offer you neat specs like a 12.1-megapixel shooter, a Schneider-Kreuznach lens, touch-focus features, a 3.2-inch 16:9 touchscreen display, DNLA, TV-Out, XviD and DivX playback, Bluetooth connectivity, aGPS and WiFi connectivity. In other words, the GC990 is a great camera that doubles as a phone. It gets even better! The Louvre can handle ISO of up to 3200 for images and it can record video up to 720p at 30fps. Have we gotten you all excited about it? So now we need some prices and arrival dates! What do you say LG?

Nokia 3720 Classic

Nokia has officially announced the 3720 Classic. As we have already seen last week this phone can handle quite a lot. It is waterproof, dustproof and shock resistant. The 3720 is made of very durable materials and the interior is sealed tight so nothing can interfere with the electronics inside.

Verizon to Launch Samsung Glyde 2

Verizon will launch a new Samsung handset soon, the Glyde 2. The phone hasn't been officially unveiled yet but someone managed to snatch a picture of the Glyde 2 with Verizon's logo all over it. We're looking forward for some leaked specs too as we don't have any idea what this Glyde 2 has to offer. According to rumors we can expect the phone to have an impressive AMOLED screen, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard and Samsung's TouchWiz UI. What do you say Samsung? Verizon? Anyone willing to tell us more?

Sony Ericsson W350 Twiggy Walkman Phone

A few months ago we saw the Sony Ericsson Twiggy Walkman phone get leaked and today we see it appear in pictures again. There's no news about Twiggy's future. People say the phone was cancelled so we definitely have to wait and see what the company has in mind regarding this Walkman phone. The phone comes with an unnecessary flip cover which lets you control the music. Well at least it lets you play and pause it when you like as there aren't any other touch friendly buttons on it. The phone also sports a 3.2 camera worthy of your attention but other than that we have no specific info about the other features of the W350. So if the Twiggy is really cancelled, what other Walkman phones is Sony Ericsson working on?

The Samsung S6700 slider phone is furnished with a 2.4 inch QVGA LCD display and 240×400 pixel resolution that can display up to 16M colors. It comes with, built-in GPS receiver, a 3 mega pixel camera with autofocus and flash, USB 2.0 and Bluetooth 2.1.

Some of it's other features include FM tuner with RDS, music player and 120 MB of internal memory. The S6700 also includes support for quad-band GSM and dual-band UMTS (with HSDPA 3.6Mbps) and a microSD memory card slot that provides support for up to 16GB of additional storage space.

Purplera1n supports Mac OS X, too

A few days ago we learned that GeoHot recently released an update for purplera1n, his iPhone jailbreaking solution, that would add both Windows 7 and 64-bit support. However, Mac OS X users were left in the dust with no alternative.

Luckily, GeoHot has again updated purplera1n this time adding that much sought after Mac OS X support.

iPhone Batteries Deteriorating?

It seems that new iPhones are now revealing some of their flaws. One glaring feature and need for most devices today is the length of the battery life, something that some people over at Los Angeles are experiencing. There is no word if the issue only concerns the batch that came to them but this is really something that Apple should look into.

According to IFixit.com, repairing company which specializes in Apple products, the 3GS's battery life was about 15% smaller than the original iPhone. But Apple spokeswoman Natalie Harrison emphasized, battery consumption is highly dependent on what applications and features are used.

It could be the size but the Apple spokeswoman has a point. If you have an application, like let's say a game which you often play, chances are your battery will need a recharge sooner than you think. For now, this is the best explanation available but if the number of people who have the same issue without the given explanation, expect this problem to be a full-blown issue soon.

Sony Ericsson Kiki Phone: Where's the Keypad?

We can definitely see Sony Ericsson pairing its interesting Xperia design with an Android OS. In fact that's a more than good idea. An Android Xperia could be the killer phone we're expecting from Sony Ericsson.

But the Kiki concept isn't bad either. For one thing, this phone is really green so should we expect it to be really eco-friendly too? It's so green it doesn't even have any keypad. So how would one be able to interact with it? Simply press your finger against that glass right? That seems pretty logical but we have no official news from Sony Ericsson regarding this phone.

And what about the screen of the Kiki? Is it projected on the glass surface? It would certainly seem so:

The display seems to be made of glass, and the screen image appears to be projected onto this glass surface. It makes it possible to create a sort of depth in the screen image, and it looks rather exciting. We're very much looking forward to seeing more of this.

Again, there's no official Sony Ericsson position on the Kiki just yet but our interest has certainly been piqued.

iPhone OS 3.1 Beta Available for Developers

Well what do you know iPhone developers! Apple has apparently released iPhone OS 3.1 Beta for you guys. The SDK is out now so you can probably get it right ahead. When you do that, drop us a line and tell us what's new! Only developers have that privileged access to this beta so we'll be waiting for them to leak it to the rest of us regular mortals. What has Apple changed besides the regular improvements and solved issues? We'll be updating the story as we find out more!

BlackBerry Tour Available Officially from Bell on July 17

The Motorola device, the Motorola Clutch i465 initially made its way through Boost Mobile. But now, Sprint is scheduled to introduce the said phone starting at $29.99 a month this coming summer.

The Motorola Clutch i465 is a rugged device contained in a handy candy form factor. It is likewise the first Nextel Direct Connect messaging-centric device that brings the strength of a full QWERTY keyboard to the iDEN line. Among the features of the Motorola Clutch i465 include Group Messaging, which lets customers create groups of up to 20 people to whom they can send messages simulataneously.
