If anybody is pushing the envelope at all times it’s Nike.  The largest footwear brand in the game, nobody is able to pull together and execute collaborations like Nike does.  We’ve seen Nike work with the cream of the crop over the last few years, and their efforts with Tom Sachs will continue to press the brand to go bigger and better.

If you’ve never heard of Tom Sachs before then this collaboration might not make much sense right away.  Sachs is a world renowned artist, known primarily for his obsession with space.  Over the years, Sachs has created numerous sculptures of different spaceships, his latest being a 1:1 model of the Apollo lunar module.

Sachs has gotten together with Nike to create an artisanal capsule collection entitled NIKECraft.  Utilizing durable materials from the likes of airbags, mainsails, and actual space suits, Nike was able to put together a collection that ideally would serve you well and have you prepared for a trip to space. The Mars Yard Shoe utilizes airbag materials as well as the outer sole from a Nike special forces boot.

The sneaker game has gone through many progressions over the years.  Not long ago we were camping out for our favorite sneakers on their release day.  Today, most are searching for the quickest link from Nike on their Twitter to even have a chance at copping the hottest pair of J’s!  Director Chris Jones put together a dope documentary film called, “Life As a Sneakerhead” which follows a Las Vegas sneakerhead and exposes all different facets of not only the industry, but the lifestyle that plays along with it.

This video was shot for the track ‘Hot Shots Part Deux’ and features Action Bronson, RiFF RaFF, and Dana Coppafeel doing their thing all over Milwaukee. Party will start at 9 and DJ’s Kiki Champ, Bizzon, and Kid Millions will make sure it stays moving throughout the night. New to Nike’s lineup this year is the Flex 2012 Run model.  A very clean shoe with minimum material to keep the weight down, but definitely not lacking in cushion or support.  The Flex 2012 Run comes in a staple red or blue color way and is a good go-to runner for Summer!
