I love the industrial backdrop of these Dallas, Texas engagement images. Captured by Leslie Spurlock Photography, Sarah and James spent a January day at Off the Grid, a historic Dallas Power and Light Substation used to power the city street lights that has been restored as an event venue. The mix of textures fabulous and I love Sarah’s yellow pants! The couple was married this may in a small ceremony in Cancun, Mexico.

The bold colors of this wedding are stunning! Captured by Cory Ryan Photography, Rhianna and Patrick had been married for two years, but waited for Rhianna’s father to return from his deployment to have their big celebration. A few words from the bride:

“This is basically a huge party for us. We’ve been married for almost two years because of my father’s deployment…and everyone is just so excited to be finally getting together. So, I mean, the building can blow up and we’d just take it outside.”

In addition to a first look with her groom, Rhianna also had a touching first look with her father. The wedding was held at The Studio at Fischer, a large commercial photography studio bursting with color, little white lights, and a graphic black and white tiled floor. Inspired by the “Kiss the Girl” scene from The Little Mermaid, the centerpieces were small manzanita trees with twinkling lights. The bouquets, handmade by the bride and her bridesmaids, had giant peacock feathers intertwined throughout the flowers. Bold blue and purple hues were used throughout the decor, including the stunning ombre cake!

Two of my favorite trends are combined in today’s feature shoe: neon and colorblock! The Carven Linen and Patent Slingbacks feature a neon yellow heel, neon pink patent leather toe cap, a beige linen body and a black bow at the heel. I really love the bride’s bold royal blue dress in these modern engagement images by Simply Jamela Photography. Princess and Giovanni spent the day wandering the Artist Village in Santa Ana, California. A variety of urban scenery, including a graffiti covered staircase, murals and rough brick walls, provide a glimpse into the city’s beauty. The couple also posed with their amazing vintage Porsche. Princess and Giovanni look so happy and in love in these beautiful images!

Marla and Vince had a sweet, intimate dinner reception following their courthouse nuptials. Captured by Brooke Photography & Design, the couple celebrated with fifty close friends and family at Roy’s Hawaiian Fusion Restaurant in Anaheim, California. Marla and Vince took a hands on approach, arranging all of the flowers themselves. The bride looked stunning in a lace gown by Vera Wang and two pairs of fabulous shoes! The groom looked dashing in his Burberry tie. I love the “thank you” heart props, they are such a cute idea for the upcoming thank you notes.

This bridal session has a great mix of high fashion and down home Americana! Captured by Alisha Cryderman Photography, Brittney’s bridal shoot takes place in the middle of nowhere in beautiful Southern California. Accompanied by a blue 1966 Chevy pickup, the bride glows in these stunning images. At three and a half months pregnant, Brittney emits a beautiful radiance only rivaled by the breathtaking sunset.

What a beautiful setting for a surprise proposal!! Captured by Lindsey Gomes Photography, Laura and Tim headed to Pismo State Beach in California for their annual Christmas card photo shoot with their adorable dogs. Little did Laura know, Tim had contacted Lindsey weeks earlier to let her know that he planned to propose to Laura during the session. He had a custom ring made, and when they found a spot with gorgeous light streaming through the tangled trees, Tim got down on one knee and popped the question. Laura said yes! The couple has an amazing set of images to remember this very special moment in their lives.
