Some time over the course of this year I’ll finally be constructing my own MAME arcade cabinet for the office. I plan to build it to a set budget and I’ll be getting plenty of help from the in-house wood and metal experts that are Tony and Al. The cabinet will host a custom built system along with the ability to add/remove games as I wish. I also plan on getting a custom selection menu in there that will seamlessly load with the system on boot and be ready to play.

I have set up a website for you to follow the progress of the build (see below for a preview), and it will be launched as soon as the basic resources are in my possession. Welcome to ‘Arcadexs’.

Despite me looking 12 years old when I shave, I’ve decided to bite the bullet and take part in this year’s Movember fund-raiser. I’ll be posting a daily photo on my ‘Mospace‘ aswell as this post so you can monitor my progress, so be sure to check my progress.

Finally, if you’d like to make any form of a donation, then please feel free to do so. Aside from it all going to a good cause, it should also be quite fun to see just how good my moustache growing capabilities really are!

Retro Box Art

Retro Box Art is a quite simply a collection of video game artwork. This database is packed full of old school artwork mainly from the NES era and viewers have the ability to rate the artwork and leave their respects if they choose to. These ratings are automatically generated into a ‘most popular’ set-up.

The site is nothing more than the appreciation of video game artwork from the old school generation. We love it!

Chrome Illusion needed some labels designing to present to potential customers and we were more than happy to help. We were only made aware of the deadline a couple of days beforehand, and the client was delighted with the outcome. Chrome Illusion were looking at adding a number of new features to their site along with a re-design to suit the ever growing business. We submitted the following layout for approval and they were more than happy to give the go ahead.

Outbreak Firearms

Outbreak Firearms manufacture novelty frames with varied contents of protection against the undead. The design needed to match the zombie themed atmosphere with strong images that boast the quality of the products and highlight the value for money.

Along with this, a simple, two-click cart system that links in with Paypal and makes life very easy for the customer and the client.

The Revoki Gaming Network

We were approached by Revoki to design the aesthetics of their up and coming gaming network. We designed the look and feel of the website in accordance to their custom built system functioning in the background.

We maintained strong communication with the USA based client throughout the whole process and we were delighted to be a part of such a fresh and exciting project.

82 Kiln Lane

82 Kiln Lane is a group of local businesses that all recide at the same address. These business were looking to create an online presence, but do so collaboratively. This is where we came in.

We built a setup that allowed each individual business to have access to the site, but only have the ability to edit the content and imagery relevant to their page. This meant a unique login for each person that pointed to the correct information ready for them to manage accordingly.
