Rihanna makes a surprise appearance at Jay-Z’s concert at UCLA in Los Angeles on Sunday night (November 8).

The 21-year-old Bajan songstress performed “Run This Town” with Jay-Z and sang her new song “Hard” for the very first time! The new tune (featuring Young Jeezy) is off of Rihanna’s upcoming fourth studio album, Rated R, out November 20.

Check out the premiere of Cobra Starship’s new music video “Hot Mess,” the latest single off their album of the same name.

Lead singer Gabe Saporta told MTV, “This video, we really thought about it. We said, ‘Hey, we’re going to have matching outfits! We’re gonna take it to the next level. We’re gonna top [our] “Good Girls Go Bad” [music video]‘.”

Rihanna was honored as “The Back-On-Top Superstar” at Glamour “Women Of The Year” awards ceremony.

Rihanna is presented with “The Back-On-Top Superstar” award at Glamour Magazine’s Women of the Year Awards at NYC’s Carnegie Hall on Monday (November 9).

“This year, we saw a different face of Rihanna,” model Iman said as she presented the 21-year-old superstar with her award. “She’s an indelible image of worldly pain and now, more than ever, I am more than impressed with her honesty and courage… She has taken her own scars and used them to create a new story of strength and awareness.”

Rihanna will speak out for the first time about what happened with Chris Brown on ABC beginning this Thursday.

Starting on Good Morning America on November 5 (Thursday) and 6 (Friday), then on 20/20 Friday evening, Rihanna will speak candidly to Diane Sawyer about her relationship with Chris, what happened and how she’s been doing since the incident nine months ago.

The 21-year-old “Woman of the Year” opens up about how she coped after the Chris Brown incident, her message to young women and her new album. Here are some interview highlights:

On the photo of her bruised face being leaked after being assaulted by Chris Brown: “It was humiliating; that is not a photo you would show to anybody. I felt completely taken advantage of. I felt like people were making it into a fun topic on the Internet, and it’s my life. I was disappointed, especially when I found out the photo was [supposedly leaked by] two women.”

On her message to young women: “My story was broadcast all over the world for people to see, and they have followed every step of my recovery. The positive thing that has come out of my situation is that people can learn from that. I want to give as much insight as I can to young women, because I feel like I represent a voice that really isn’t heard. Now I can help speak for those women.”

On her personal growth over the past year: “I am stronger, wiser and more aware. You don’t realize how much your decisions affect people you don’t even know, like fans.”

On her new album: “I’ve put everything I’ve wanted to say for the past eight months into my music. [My new album Rated R] is super fearless-which is exactly how I feel right now. I am in a really good place.”

Katy Perry gets cozy with two MTV awards at the MTV Europe Music Awards press conference on Wednesday (November 4) in Berlin.

The 25-year-old singer, who’ll be hosting the event for the second year in a row, talked to MTV about what to expect from her - and the show - this year.

“Last year I was all bright and fruity,” Katy shared, “but now we’re in Berlin it’s going to be all sexy, dark and romantic with a cabaret undertone.”

As for how she found out she’d be hosting the gig again, Katy said, “I thought it was my manager playing a prank! I mean, don’t they want someone else?”

Chris Brown: Graffiti drops one week early

Chris Brown’s album Graffiti is now set to be released on December 8th (a week before its original drop date).

The release comes on the heels of his upcoming “Fan Appreciation Tour” which begins November 14 in Houston, Texas.

Chris also revealed his upcoming music video “Crawl” featuring sexy R&B singer Cassie. The vid was directed by Joseph Kahn and was shot in Los Angeles.

Adam Lambert dresses up as a glammed-out vampire for a special Halloween party in Los Angeles on Saturday night (October 31).

All night, the newly single American Idol vet was seen hanging out with pop rock singer Ferras, who dressed up as an Arabian Prince with Markus Molinari.

A few weeks ago, Adam and Ferras (both 27) were also seen partying together at Star Magazine 5th Anniversary shindig. The pair have been collaborating for awhile now. Back in June, Ferras tweeted, “Spent the afternoon writing with Adam Lambert! Havent seen him since before idol- we’re writing a great song. Its gunna be sick ya’ll. :)”

Michael Jackson Returns in 'This Is It'

Four months after Michael Jackson's sudden death, a film on his final days has opened around the globe. The movie called "This Is It" will play for two weeks only but may be extended.

The film, part documentary part musical concert, is based on Jackson's rehearsals for his London stage performances. They were scheduled for July but cancelled because of his untimely death.

Director, producer Kenny Ortega stitched together the 2-hour film from 120 hours of behind the scenes footage. "This is like a little backstage pass, a private peak into a creative process of a great genius," he says.

Jackson is electrifying. His moves are sharp. His musical sensibility flawless. His rhythm is so precise he's like a metronome.

Jackson was plagued by scandal, debt and rumors of failing health, and many questioned whether he could pull off a grand comeback.

But according to Ortega, Jackson envisioned his concerts as his crowning achievement, the spectacle to end all spectacles. "We had new technology with video, costuming, lighting with sound, with pyrotechnics. I came to know very quickly that Michael liked things hotter, bigger, louder," he says.

The film shows Jackson in top shape. Immersed in his work, he was the creative spirit behind a supercharged production showcasing the hits of a lifetime.

People waited in line for hours, in the rain, outside a Washington DC movie theater, hoping for tickets to the only screening before the sold-out premiere.

They were not disappointed.

On its opening day worldwide, the film topped the box office, raking in $66.6 million. But it's not only about money. The movie reaffirms Jackson's genius and gives a glimpse of his comeback, had there been one. Fan or no fan, one leaves the theater heartbroken at the loss.

Robert Pattinson sings ‘I’m Doing Fine’

Robert Pattinson’s character gives himself a pep talk before going onstage in this clip from How to Be, a British comedy where Rob plays a struggling musician.

The 23-year-old Twilight actor shows off his vocal chops in the movie, which is coming to DVD November 17, according to Access Hollywood.

Rob told that while he doesn’t see himself recording an album, he’d like to play a few gigs here and there. But he’s still got some work to do before he plays in front of a crowd…

“I never manage more than five chords,” Rob laughed. “I have to work on that.”
