I'm celebrating those fighting, I'm walking for those who can't anymore, and fighting back against that dreaded disease that touches so many. I am determined to make a difference!

I will be walking on June 11th, 2011. Help me with my goal!

Farewell, Ohio Pendant

2011-05-27T15:42:00.001-04:00

All of hubbub surrounding this issue made me feel guilty about my "I <3 Ohio" pendants, so I don't think I'll make them anymore. I never even saw that Etsy artist's stuff before. Honestly, I think the state with a heart cut out is pretty common these days, but whatever. I'm over it.

Peace out!

I got some smaller letter stamps, not too long ago. I will post pictures of new jewelry I'm making with them, soon.

Quick Sketch of Mama Pendant

2011-02-01T15:29:00.000-05:00

Away from toy sketches for today! I started this sketch after drawing a random curve. Amazing how one line can inspire a new design.

Dog-Gone Piano

2011-01-30T10:28:00.001-05:00

A quick concept sketch of a baby piano incorporated into a doghouse form! Zoe is teaching me a bit about what the babies like. :)

Bug Car

2011-01-23T18:09:00.001-05:00

Not my concept, just my sketch. Cute toy, huh?

My Baby Doll

Here is a sketch of my daughter's profile. Now *that's* a cute baby doll. :D

Pink Rawr

2011-01-18T11:28:00.001-05:00

Oops. I drew a dinosaur, and I didn't stop myself before I colored it pink and added a heart. Baby steps.

Little Bit

2011-01-17T13:45:00.001-05:00

A quick sketch, with a bit of color thrown on, works a lot better for me than what I was doing yesterday. It's a lot more fun to draw, and less frustrating! I will try to draw a baby doll again soon, I wont let the creepy sketch from yesterday defeat me.

Baby Doll Sketch

2011-01-16T15:34:00.001-05:00

I took way too long sketching this doll, and it doesn't look that great. Oh well, I've gotta start somewhere!

Toy Sketches

2011-01-14T16:31:00.001-05:00

I would like to design toys, as a freelancer, someday. I figure I need to practice drawing again, like back in school! I am going to practice with my iPad, and post my sketches to this blog. Maybe I'll be inspired to make some toy-themed sterling silver jewelry in the process.

Here is the first sketch.

Knitting for Zoe

2011-01-13T10:15:00.001-05:00

My baby girl has teeny feet, so I've been knitting some slippers for her. I made up the pattern myself! I'm working on the 2nd of the pair, but not at this exact moment....I have a baby sleeping in my arms!

I would love to sell my knitting, but not with all of the dog hair in the house. :)
