Join me in welcoming the precious Nick! I love being honored with the opportunity to do birth photography; being with a family when they welcome a new addition to their family is always something I treasure and hold dearly to my heart. And I can tell you for sure that this little guy will have lots of love and support from not only his incredible parents but from friends and family. His grandmother could not wait to share photos of her first grandbaby, and told me of how much she looked forward to showing off her grandson just like all of her friends to do her — she was just so cute. And, mom has some of the best friends that were able to be part of Nick’s birth day as support to her. It really was a blessing to witness and I can’t wait to see little Nick again when we do his newborn session, that is if Dad will put him down. Yes, Daddy, I’m talking to you — this little guy already has his dad head over heals in love with him…loved it!

I absolutely love the meaning behind this image — the airplane is actually from mom & dad’s wedding cake & now their little one is about to have his own airplane themed nursery! During the consultation for maternity sessions I ask mom if she has anything special she’d like to bring — family heirlooms, nursery blanket, stuffed animals, etc. And, when Mrs A showed up she did not disappoint. She brought the blanket that she’d used as a baby, her mom lovely mailed it to her to use for her little one. Then, the extra treat of the airplane from the wedding along with all the other airplanes dad (yes, Nick I’m talking about you) brought and lovely had them landing on mom’s belly…it was cute & also special to see just how in love this man is with his beautiful wife and their son. one of the biggest questions i get as a photographer is “what do we wear?” so, with that in mind (and to help jody) take a look!

p.s. i think i may need a pair of those shoes for me!

this newborn session greeted me with the sweetest little girl. and man oh man, did it make me want to add to our own family! so tiny, so sweet, and barely a peep out of her during her session — a photographers dream!

“beauty has no age”

i often get asked by women what type of person comes to me for a boudoir session, and the dove real beauty campaign — “beauty has no age” — speaks volumes about the type of women that come to me. women, younger and most often older, of all shapes and sizes, wanting to celebrate the beauty they often only feel within. boudoir does not have to be revealing, it is often about a look and a feeling that comes through when you look back at the images taken. they will speak to you for years to come, reminding you of the beauty that each of us, as women, have. so celebrate the woman within!

and, she doesn’t even realize it! this mom to be had the cutest baby belly and i am so excited to say that she got the Belly to Baby package so i will be photographing her new addition soon! here is a little peek at her maternity session last week…

i must say this is one of my favorite images from a maternity session — simple yet so powerful when you think of the incredible little one growing inside.

this too cute matching shirt for daddy & baby happens to be on sale at a pea in the pod! i love sales as much as taking daddy baby photos!  This is another great item from Diaper Dude – If your new daddy or daddy-to-be cringes at  flowery diaper bags, you should check out the manly Diaper Dude bags.  Nothing completes the picture of a combat-ready father like a camo diaper bag!

I enjoy the whole baby and daddy interchange when working with newborns.  In my family newborn portrait sessions, I find the most playful newborn photos come when the dad’s in the picture.  Dads also seem to be the ones who end up buying the matching clothes!  In a recent session, dad made sure baby started out supporting the right team – both came out in Red Sox garb.
