It was an interesting holiday weekend if I say so myself. Thursday "The Hubby" had to stay with "N" so I could take "O" to her ultrasound appointment at Children's Hospital. Then Friday we decided to change it up and go to Scottsdale Fashion Square with the kids. It was fun, I took "O" to The Disney store, "N" watched the R/C car race, "The Hubby" was looking for a hat and to top it off we had a tasty lunch at Kona Grill, $8.25 lunch that included a choice of sushi, which I have been craving sushi and spicy food like crazy.

So after we were done, we were at the Murano and it wouldn't start. For the most part when something happens to the truck, we're normally home in our garage, except for the alternator belt when we were headed up to Vegas last year, and this time the battery died in the parking garage. All I can say is that I'm glad my husband bought the AAA plan and I bought the three year warranty on the battery. This incident had no out of pocket costs which is totally awesome. Just an FYI, batteries here in Arizona last about 2 years before they die, that's about what the Murano goes through whereas my car hasn't had a battery in over three years. Now that I've said that, my battery is now going to die soon.

Saturday we stayed home except for picking stuff up to grill. We let the kids play with poppers and just relaxed, I think they played in the pool but I don't remember. It was an ok weekend, it was nice having "The Hubby" home and spending time with him.

Like I said before, I'm totally getting into spicy food which can be very scary since it can cause pouchitis. We are also into trying new foods and Sunday's are the days where we only eat two meals, we have been getting heavily into veggies for the Sunday snack and changed it up by using parsnips instead of carrots. Man the kids went nuts for it and I wished I had bought more because I really like them too. If there was a blind taste test it's cool how you really can't taste a difference except the parsnips have a little sweeter taste. I don't care I now choose parsnips over carrots.

The kids are getting a little crazy so I guess I need to get going and cater to them now.

Post created with Kritir Blog Authoring. I'm hoping that I can keep him in the dark as I have "O" and the ultrasound. She's looking forward to it because she knows that when she goes into the room she gets to watch TV and all that fun stuff. Luckily Phoenix Children's Hospital isn't scary for her.

I guess I should get going because the kids decided they wanted to color and we still need to run a couple errands.

Post created with Kritir Blog Authoring.

Yesterday was a pretty fun day with the kids and I didn't even turn TV shows for them. After the disaster at the park (waiting too long to go) we had that nice breakfast and workbooks. We ran a couple errands and had lunch. They went in the pool for a little bit and I was nice mom and let them play Nintendo PunchOut. Both kids kick butt at the game and they had fun. I was surprised with the kids at dinner, we had Papa Murphy's Chicago stuffed pizza and a salad and "N" ate most of his salad and had 2 slices of pizza and "O" ate her one piece and ate all her salad. They did awesome.

We ended up going out to get "The Hubby" some clothes and I guess the kids were pretty tired. We went to Macy's and Penney's and it was getting rough with them. On the way home "O" passed out and "N" was so tired that he was just really funny. It's funny because when I go into "O's" room during the day she changes the radio station to 97.9 KUPD which is a hard rock station, that's what she tries to sleep to until I change it to either oldies or jazz. Anyway, on the way home we were listening to KUPD and she passed out and "N" was just so fun to watch an listen to. They pretty much went to sleep right after we got home.

This morning however something's up because I had my alarm set for 6:15am but I could not get out of bed until 8:30 and even then it was difficult. But we're on our way. I am debating on redoing the pool but there's a chance of rain since it's monsoon season and the amount of time it will take to clean and fill I'm not sure. Either way the kids can't go in the pool today since it has to be cleaned.

"O" is getting into Tinker Toys and also Legos. Since it will be a simple Christmas this year maybe she'll get one of those as her present plus now she's playing with her Mrs. Potatohead. Right now they are sitting here playing together with Legos and Tinker Toys. What a nice day with them when I feel so exhausted.

Post created with Kritir Blog Authoring. We walked around The Fashion Square, I haven't been there without kids before and it was nice to walk around. I went to Bath & Body Works and bought a few perfumes, way cheaper with the sale I got 5 bottles for $14 and that's about 3 ½ bottles for free. It was just fun walking around without kids, look in Crate & Barrel, the only Disney store, Eddie Bauer, and Lacoste. We were going to go to Oregano's but opted for Grimaldi's instead, best pizza EVER!! I so will go back there, their Caprese Salad is very tasty and the pizza sauce is just de-li-cious! We walked around Old Scottsdale then went to Sugar Bowl which is mentioned a lot in the Family Circus cartoons. It's been decided that we will just throw away our foosball table because that is what's hindering my car fitting into the garage. Once I know my car will fit in then we will hang our adult bikes on the side and it'll be good. I have to have the table taken down ASAP with the Monsoon season technically starting last week. I don't want my car outside in while that's going on because there is always a possibility of damage while the storms are coming through.

After working on that for a few hours and after just putting the rest of the stuff away (not the stuff inside), I decided that I'm going to sit down and have a beer. We are having a sitter come over tonight but it's going to be a cheap night because we are just going to take our laptops and go Barnes and Noble for a few hours and just sit. Cheap night since the only cost will be the babysitter. What's really sad is that I still need to vacuum the house but I don't think I'm going to because I really am exhausted from being outside in the heat. It feels a lot hotter than 82° to me but then again it feels hot when I walk "The Hubby" out to his car at 8am.

I'm going to finally take my shower in a few because my allergies are totally messing me up and I can't handle the sniffing. Allergies really suck out here.
