We were recently given the opportunity to review The Explorer Bible Dictionary for Kids and I’m so thankful we did!

As a mom of 5, and my youngest being a 10-year-old boy, I am always looking for resources that help him grow in his faith while still keeping him engaged. The Explorer Bible Dictionary for Kids has been a wonderful addition to our home. The entries are easy for him to understand, but they still provide enough detail to help him learn more about the people, places, and events in the Bible.

What I appreciate most is how often he circles back to look at it again. The colorful illustrations, maps, and kid-friendly explanations make Bible study feel like an adventure and help deepen his understanding.  I’ve even learned a few things from it!

This dictionary has helped spark meaningful conversations about God’s Word. I would highly recommend it to parents, grandparents, homeschool families, and anyone looking for a Bible reference tool designed specifically for children. It’s educational, engaging, and faith-building all at the same time.

This summer, it’s important to get the kids working on learning activities.  If you are looking for a good program to use with your kids this summer so they don’t forget what they have learned in school, I highly recommend checking out the Summer Bridge Activities Books.  I’ve used them on and off for a few years and they are great for “bridging” over from one grade to the next.  The kids find them fun as well instead of just boring book work.  Amazon has most of them priced around $8.98-$10, and shipping is free with Amazon Prime .   Looks like they have everything available from going in to Kindergarten to 8th grade.

Another great option is the Summer Brain Quest.  I haven’t personally used these but I used to love Brain Quest as a kid.  They are priced around $6-$11 depending on grade.

It’s finally back since 2019!  One of our favorite days of the year has officially returned!  Chick-fil-A’s Cow Appreciation Day is coming up on July 14, 2026 from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.

As you know, they changed it so that you score a free entree instead of a meal to keep it consistent between the stores.  This year, there is a limit to what entrees are included.  The salads are no longer included in the freebies.  Children will still receive a free Kid’s Meal.
