Company Overview: Invented and tested by a mom. Hair Thingz® are proudly made in the U.S.A. with top quality, safe plastic. They are free of BPA and heavy metals.
Review: Hair Thingz, may look strange, but they are a fun entertaining way to change up your daughters daily hair style! Hair Thingz are a pliable plastic that can be wrapped, layers or corckscrewed around hair and easily pulls out without damaging hair. My daughter begged me to put these in her hair, usually she objects to having her hair styled so, I was over the moon creating fun twists in her hair and layering the different color Hair Thingz! They stayed in her hair all day, did not bother her, lasted through hours of school play and still looked cute at the end of the day. There was no pain or tears when I took them out, they simple twisted off. They are tricky to get the hang of at first, you have the twist the hair and then twist the Hair Thingz around the hair – it will take you a few times to master it, so don’t get frustrated the end result is worth the few trial and errors. I suggest looking at videos or the instructions included till you have it down. My daughter loves me putting her hair in low pigtails and wrapping the HairThingz around for a Pocahontas look, we’ve gotten many compliments already and how cute these are! There are endless fun ways to use Hair Thingz and I can’t wait to dive into more fun hair styles.

Review: This outfit is super adorable, if you aren’t a fan of MyBabyClothes.com head over there right now and check out all the lines they carry. My niece looked stunning in her outfit and everywhere we went compliments were flowing, people wanted to know where I had found such an adorable outfit (ahhhemmm mybabyclothes.com). Mud Pie is a favorite line of mine that MyBabyClothes.com carries. Their service is quick and your outfit will be at your door before you know it. I was delighted with all the lines of clothing they offered from Zilly Bean to Ruffle Butts. These are boutique clothes at affordable prices, which can be hard to find. You feel like you are getting an amazing deal when you shop via mybabyclothes.com. I was impressed with the quality and prices. I felt like I had gotten a hand sewn boutique item off etsy for a fraction of the price. I only wish that they had girl sizes 5 and up!

So my daughter started Kindergarten this last year and it is fastly coming to a close. I have had my first experience with a mom ‘bully’ in the classroom and I am astounded. I am a person that generally gets along with everyone. I grew up in a small town where everyone was generally kind. I am not a person who likes drama, I will simply walk away and cut ties. This mother in my daughters classroom who feels that her word is law, she railroads everyone into doing what she wants and is peaches and creams to your face but as soon as your back is turned the knives come out. I have sadly, only met her a few times and still feel the sting. She has hurt others I know and have become friends with. I have learned that she has many enemies. I am secure in myself, so I do not fear her. But I am astounded at the other people that who do fear her and will bend to her will just to avoid a confrontation or to be the one spoken about. If you know these words are false, why be afraid to stand up for what is right ? What are we teaching our children if we do not stand up for ourselves and our friends?

Sadly, this has left a bad taste in my mouth in participating in my daughters school activities, but I do not want to be pushed aside because I will not bend to one persons ideals.

I was wondering if you have dealt with a similar situation and how you handled it ?

Any advice is welcome.

Company Overview: Widge – Kid Friendly Design Doesn’t Have To be Childish. Made durable and easy to clean, Widge’s squishy design feels good to kids yet protects from kid mishaps. Ergonomically designed for children; Widge features easy to grab fat corners and a carrying handle in back that make it ideal for kids to hold onto. Our two ergonomic stand angles are just right for kid viewing, typing, and drawing. With Widge, you can feel better about giving your kid the iPad.

Designed with children’s ergonomics in minds; fat corners easy to grab, carrying handle in back, 2 ergonomic stand angles

Easy to clean

Squishy and protective

Review: When you first look at the Widge, you’re not quite sure what to make of this squishy funky design, it looks bulky but feels light. So we put the Widge on our iPad 2 and put it to work over the last few weeks. The design is truly amazing! Compared to our ‘adult’ cover, it made it very light so it was easier to carry and hold. After seeing it in action with the kids we were much more confident in handing over the delicate iPad 2 for playtime. The handle on the back makes it easy for little and big hands to grasp. The stand angles are just right for movie viewing, playing games and coloring on the iPad. The iPad was even protected by a bump thanks to the Widge. We can definitely say that if you have a child who plays with your iPad or they have their own, this is a sound investment! Not only that it comes in a fun color!

P.S. This mom keeps it on her iPad even when the kids aren’t around.

Cleopatra “Serpent of the Nile” – She was the richest, most powerful woman in the world, who ensnared men with her cunning. But did Cleopatra deserve to be called the “Serpent of the Nile”?

Agrippina “Atrocious and Ferocious” – The sister, wife, and mother of Roman emperors, Agrippina was once revered as a goddess. How did she fall so low as to end her life “Atrocious and Ferocious”?

Mary Tudor “Bloody Mary” – Queen of England, Mary Tudor sought to save her country-by burning hundreds at the stake. Was she just a ruler of her times, or did she earn the name “Bloody Mary”?

Catherine de’ Medici “The Black Queen” – Queen of France, Catherine de’ Medici would stop at nothing to keep her family in power. But was she responsible for the nation-wide killing spree that branded her “The Black Queen”?

Marie Antoinette “Madame Deficit” – Although she probably never said “Let them eat cake,” Marie Antoinette indulged while her people starved-earning herself the name, “Madame Deficit.” But was she really heartless

Cixi “The Dragon Empress” – The last empress of China, Cixi brought down not just a dynasty, but a whole system of government. Was she just out of touch, or the evil “Dragon Empress”?

Illustrator Peter Malone’s paintings, along with prints, photos, maps, and historic artifacts, bring the rulers and their eras to life.

Review: If you are looking for a set of book that empower girls knowledge of history and themselves, this is a great series. Each book focuses on an important female in history and discusses whether the rumors about each held true. Each book delves into the truth and character of each female figure. So many times important female icons are overlooked or are made out to be the evil villain when that is not always the case. The books are the perfect length to engage a young girl. Even an adult will find these books fascinating. The illustrations are beautiful and break up the text in just the right way. I love the fun facts throughout the books and learning the personal details of the women, like the clothing they wore or what they liked to eat. But most importantly is the focus of learning the truth and how we can overcome stereotypes. Amazing books that any girl would cherish for a lifetime!

Company Overview: Recently, the world faced a gigantic animal baby boom that had storks flying willy-nilly to take zillions of newborns to their parents. Animals of every kind, stripe and tail, from aardvarks to zebras, were scheduled for delivery. No one had ever seen anything like it before. The traffic was a mess. This was the real Carmageddon. Earnest storks were doing their best to keep it all together, but the workload was just too much. Then wouldn’t you know it, lo and behold, CRASH #1! BOOM! Then CRASH #2 and 3 and 4 and 5 and so on. Still trying valiantly to cradle their precious cargo, stork after stork crashed into one other. Feathers flew everywhere as the storks and the babies fell from the sky. What to do?

The storks quickly regrouped. Surveying the aftermath of their multiple collisions and to their amazement, they found thousands of baby animals all jumbled up in what could only be considered a new breed. Zebras and elephants became ZELEPHANTS! Giraffes and buffaloes became GIRAFFALOES! They called them JUMBIES, each and every one of them a star. Since it wasn’t clear where the little ones were supposed to go, the storks scooped them up and flew off to a beautiful island they called JUMBiELAND.

The world began Twittering about the adorable plush toys that inspire imagination, tolerance and, in the short time since they were jumbled, have become instant collectibles. Millions fell in love with Beanie Babies. The storks predict that millions more will follow the original 12 JUMBiES they found through games, cartoons, videos and collecting their very own.

There’s a Duckey (monkey & duck), named Darwin, a Blabbit (bluebird & rabbit) named Filbert, a Camelot (camel & ocelot) named Arthur, a Dingbat (dingo & bat) named Bunker, a Horsefly (butterfly & horse) named Kloie, a Moosecow (moose & cow) named Yuri, a Sealion (seal & lion) named Samson, a Leopird (leopard & hornbill bird) named Leopold, a Tyramosaurus (Tyrannosaurus Rex & ram) named Warner, a Pigbit (pig & rabbit) named Corky, Mallit (mallard duck & rabbit) named Wackers, and a Zelephant (zebra & elephant) named Zumbo.

Each and every JUMBiE has its own personality and Date of Jumble (D.O.J.). They have things they like and things they don’t like. What they all have in common is that we know you’re going to love them.

Review: Jumbies are adorable plush stuffed animals that are all mixed up!! They remind me of a beanie baby or webkin but are much more creative. You can go to JumbieLand online and find out all about your animal, when they were born and what type of mixed up animal they are. We received Horsefly and Sealine. My daughter was laughing hysterically at these animals, she couldn’t believe they were so mixed up. She loves horses so HorseFly was definately her favorite animal, the attention to detail on the plush animals is great. They are made nicely and are just the right size so they don’t take up too much room in your stuffed toy collection. This is a great twist on classic stuffed animals, and engages children in learning about animals.

Where to Buy: Find them at www.jumbieland.com and selected retail stores.

Company Overview: Coochy Rash Free shave creme is formulated to protect the skin and provide a smooth moisturizing shave to any part of the body. Desighned for all skin types, including senitive skin. Appropriate for use on all parts of the body. Coochy is also a great moisturizing conditioner that softens even the coarsest facial and body hair. Because women prefer choices. Available in pear berry, green tea and original flavor. 4 fl oz.

Review: I was first introduced to Coochy Creme in 2007 when I hosted a party at my home. The creme immediately caught my eye! As women you know that shaving can be a big old PAIN and cause pain, especially when you want to shave ughhummm ‘sensitive areas’. Coochy shave creme makes the shaving process pleasureable, your skin is so silky smooth and the razor just glides across your skin. It really does help keep any skin irriation down. I have the pear berry flavor and love the smell. The creme also lasts for a long time as you don’t need to use large amount of it to get a good shave. (Even the guys will want to sneak some to use because the shave is so smooth). If you want to luxurate in your shaving process check out Coochy Creme for your next shower experience.

One person will WIN the Bento Boxes system (the xlarge, large, medium and small boxes) a $120 value! See giveaway details below.

Product: Bento

Company: Rubbermaid

Company Overview: Typical storage boxes contain your items, but the inside becomes cluttered – making it difficult to find what you need. Rubbermaid’s Bento collection is designed to organize items, rather than just store them. The Bento Boxes have internal flex dividers, which enable you to divide the space by creating unique sections when needed. Boxes can stack vertically, or fit inside each other. Bento Toppers can act as trays, covers or lids, providing an extra layer of organization for the Bento Boxes, or hiding what’s inside. The Bento Collection is made from sturdy materials, and the heavy-duty decorative fabric enables it to remain out in your social spaces while complementing your home’s décor.

Internal Flex Dividers that can be individually popped open or closed

Toppers act as trays, covers or lids

The deep red tones of the Paprika pattern can add a little pop of classic color to your décor

Same size containers can stack on top of one another

Smaller sizes nest inside larger sizes for space efficient storage when not in use

CARB-certified MDF covered in durable polyester fabric

MommyReview: I was immediately impressed with these new storage boxes from Rubbermaid. These are not your mama’s storage boxes! They are heavy duty, though they look elegant. But they are great for inside storage. When you think of Rubbermaid you think of rubber storage containers but these containers are for showing off and showcasing. My favorite feature about the boxes is the flex dividers, you can create spaces but popping the dividers in or out to customize your needs for the storage box. Each different sized box creates a solution for different items that can need storage around the house. From Pencils to magazines. Another fabulous point is that the boxes can be nested inside each other is they are not in use, or what I did was left my larger box open to storage my smaller boxes in, so when company came over I could keep my everyday items out of site. These work great for our family but I can see them also being highly beneficial for apartment dwelling families who do not have a lot of storage space. So get to dividing and conquering and grab a bento box!

Recommendation: Great fashionable storage solution. When you don’t want to have to hide your storage but make it a part of your everyday living look to Bento.
