Who me? Got an overwhelming credit card debt? Nahhh...I don't have that problem! Well, almost!hahaha! Here's the thing, I was upset with hubby getting rid of our Macy's credit card before and I so loved that card coz there was no limit and I love shopping at Macy's but he noticed a huge bill coming up almost every month, well...don't blame me! Blame Macy's for having plenty of good stuff,hihihihi!Even though he got rid of that, we had a card I could make use but with a small amount limit and I wasn't too happy about that! So, I begged him to bring back Macy's card and I guess my charms worked coz he brought it back to life! Not for a long time though, now...it's on his hands again coz I am starting to have the same kind of problem again. I just couldn't stop once I have that access! This time the credit went to almost 5 grand but that's not all mine...kids stuff, house stuff and all that. He's not mad, REALLY! He knows what I've been buying but he just want to make sure it won't go over 5 grand and so, to help me resist the temptation, I surrendered that card to him!LoL!It's a good thing, I understand. He just don't want any debts and he tries to pay mine in full amount so not to get any penalty. I know that it can be a dangerous thing and there's a lot of cases where people got an overwhelming credit card debt!

The other day, I was too lazy to go anywhere but I know that the kids were getting really bored at home. For me, I have too much to do from chores to blogging task but sometimes I gotta leave all that behind to take away the kids' boredom! My youngest also did a great job at her potty training. She peed in her potty 4 times and I am so proud of her! Of course, her ate helped out a bunch too so, I decided to give them a treat but nothing to give here at home and didn't want to drive that far! My eldest daughter find bugs amusing! She is never afraid to hold bugs unless it's a spider or a bee. Yeah, she've been taught by hubby well...She loves chasing butterflies, catching fire flies, holding a grasshopper and any bugs that she sees around. I guess it's just her fascination! Found this cool activity that fits perfectly for her and thought I might share it here too...

Materials

Pad of paper and felt-tip pens, or instant camera
Yard, park, nature walk, or other outdoor area
Magnifying glass
Bug identification book (optional)

Instructions

Walk or drive to a park or nature area. Bring a small pad of paper and drawing materials, or an instant camera, if you prefer.
Walk through the area and help your child find some bugs. Use a magnifying glass to get a closer look.
When you locate a bug, have your child draw a picture of it using her pad and pens, or take a photograph.
Continue your walk, looking for different bugs.
After you gather a nice collection, return home to organize the drawings or photos. If using a regular camera, have the film developed.
Lay the pictures or photos on a table and have your child examine the bugs. Ask her to look for features that are similar and different.
If you have a bug identification book, have your child try to identify the bugs and label them.

Safety

Be careful with bugs that bite and sting and watch for dangerous plants such as poison ivy.

Yesterday, Lorena invited us for dinner and she was making "Sinigang", "Ginisa" and "Pritong Bangus"...getting a little hungry??? All great Pinoy dishes! So, I added cut up mangoes with tomatoes, soy sauce and onions. Now, the feast is complete! BUT wait...what's for desert? Guads brought her gadgets and ingredients for halo-halo...PERFECT! Everything was delectable and made us really full! We also watched a movie, "Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay"...hilarious! We let the kids play at a new kiddie pool with slide earlier that afternoon and they also watched Care Bear Movie as we enjoyed our meal and movie night! Yeah- moment like this with friends is PRICELESS!

After a crazy afternoon at the mall last Wednesday, we hang out at our friend's place and chowed down on her chicken spag that she prepared for us and the kids! Later on, halo-halo for dessert! Then, we planned to watch a movie "The Eye" but I realized I'll be driving at night and don't want to be scared to death...u know what I mean? If I watch something scary before I go to bed, I usually get nightmares, yeah - I am still a child! hehehe! And so, we end up not watching that and had a great time posing as if we were like models...{not even close!} BUT the fun part was just trying to figure out how to pose! Kids were bz running around at the backyard while we were having our moment...hehehe!

Last Friday, I was invited by Lorena's family to join them at the beach! I wasn't expecting much since she already told me it won't be a good one so, I didn't wear any swimsuit {just the kids} Such a shame though coz once we got there, we didn't realize how big the place is and it's a nice swimming area...Oh well, maybe next time we should always have a swimwear ready if the location is around water {duh?!}...The kids really had a blast and as soon as they saw the beach, they ran as fast as they can to the water! We had a little picnic in the sand and enjoyed chitchatting then had a pizza for dinner! Overall, a fun day with the kids! {Click photo to enlarge}...

I am dealing with acne and breakouts since I reached the adolescence stage! There was a time when it was totally ruining my life! I mean for a teenager, what else is worst that a face covered with acne? BUT when I turned 19, it was slowly disappearing and I haven't had major problems until after I gave birth! Yeah - it went back again and dealing with how to get rid of acne for many years now! Would you allow your child to go out on a date at an early age (as early as 16)? What do you think you’d feel about it if one day your child would ask you “Ma, can I got out on Friday night with…..? Be honest ladies!

I am hesitant to let them go on a date at an early age! Even 16 is quite early but I know at that age that it's part of growing up and I expect that they might be asking us to go on a date {hopefully not 14} coz that was the age that I experienced courting. Well, the good thing is, in our culture{perhaps during my generation}...guys normally asked you that they want to visit at your house and at that time, of course I didn't want them to do so. I feel like my parents would be furious and I don't want to be embarrassed {you know how impt. that is at that age} BUT no choice...they'd be furious anyway if they found me out on a street or someone else tells them they saw me somewhere talking to a guy alone. My father wasn't around that time coz he was working abroad. That makes it easy for me to allow guys courting me at home,hehehe! BUT I think my mom got tired of all these visits and told me to pick one to finally end that courting game. Imagine that? My mom helped me out?!hehehe! BUT thing is, the one she hates, that's the one I like! You know how it works that way{grinning}...and my father couldn't do much but send me letters. I couldn't even tell if he was mad coz there was no voice associated w/ his writing,hahaha!

Well, going back to that question. I guess the whole thing really depends on what me and my husband's mutual decision is. I personally wouldn't mind if someone starts courting them at age 16 but dating??? That will be left in discussion. You know how the culture is here! There would be pressure about "virginity" thing and having a bf at 16 wouldn't help them with the pressure. With that experience I have, I couldn't really tell what works for them considering each of us are unique and the environment as well but I wouldn't mind if we follow that same custom I had but I doubt that the system like that would work here. Of course, guys would court them anywhere they want but I just hope my girls would implement the rules that we will set them. That's why even at young age, we try to build a trusting and close relationship so that hopefully when they're teens, they'd be trustworthy and honest!

Do Diet Pills Work?

Although disappointed with my tummy flab and tempted to take diet pills, I don't think it's my solution to a flatter tummy. I believe just everyday sit ups can take the fat off but I just don't have that will and determination to do it everyday even just once a week! I think hubby is right...exercise shouldn't be mandatory or you push yourself to do it, it should be part of your life, your routine or your work. Only thing is, my work is sitting on this chair and facing the computer...that's the problem right there! Well, hopefully once we move to the farm, I'll get myself involve in gardening just for the reason to burn up some calories! I don't like gardening and this disappoints hubby but I will push myself to do so and who knows I might end up loving it! My father on the other hand loves farming/gardening so, I think he won't have any problem fitting in right in our farm and he'll be able to loose that tummy flab! As for my mother, I think there's no hope,LOL! Maybe I'll help her choose the Best Diet Pills and of course, she needs to exercise and have a healthy diet along with that!

I hate the feeling of being tired coz I know I wouldn't get anything done! I have so many tasks to do and yet I don't have the energy to do so...at least I am typing right now and making some entries before. This means a little bit of something out of my day! Hubby asked me to go with him at the park this afternoon but I couldn't even lift my butt off the couch! I know that I'm due for my "unexpected visitor" and this is the reason why I'm such a lazy ass right now...no wonder why I lost my cool yesterday with some friends! Good thing they were understanding enough.Katie had a really cranky day! It made me cranky too but not for long...and I did have a great time yesterday after a good sale on a purse, seeing kids having fun with their friends at the playground and eating halo-halo with a photo shoot ending the night!

I'm saving all my energy for tom. to go to the Indian Lake with some friends and I hope what I've been expecting to come wouldn't come tom. {no, not yet!} Maybe by monday? Coz we gotta work on another room this weekend at the farm! Geez! IF only we{women} doesn't have to deal with this every month!

Looking back the days when you were still single, how would you differentiate your life now? How do you keep up with your busy schedule every day?

I think I was more busy when I was single! It was the time of my life when I had to work and study at the same time. Even keeping up with friends from highschool, college and colleagues. I handled groups, activities and programs too. All the partying, studying, working didn't really wear me out! I guess it has to do with my age? Or perhaps not the same responsibilities as what I have now...but it's really rewarding especially having kids! They might be tiring and a lot of stress dealing with chores at the same time, it's all worth it!!!

As you can see, I am raising 2 girls and taking care of 3 blogs. A lot of people have asked me, how do I do it? They think blogging takes a lot of your time and the kids can be a handful, how do I manage to make a lot of entries and still have lots of lakwatsa?! Here's the hint...I just balance my time. I go back online every now and then and in between, I take care of the kids. There are days when I just leave blogging behind and lakwatsa all day or general cleaning! I used to take a lot of my time online too since I'm not used to creating posts but after years of writing, I think it comes to me naturally like not even thinking, just typing,hahaha! It's just a matter of balance though when it comes to keeping up with your busy life!

Best Summer Vacation!

We haven't been traveling much this summer. Most of our summer is spent just around here at an amusement and water park and even nearby lakes but for this year, my best vacation would be the one in Orlando! Although, that was last January, it still felt like it was summer coz it was hot that day we strolled the Disney World! It wasn't only the Disney that was the highlight of our trip. Yeah sure they we loved the parades, fireworks, shows, rides and the whole park but we also enjoyed strolling the city of Orlando, going to outlet malls and a beautiful park! I also got a chance to visit my dear friend Janice where she toured us around the beautiful city of Jacksonville to smell the breeze in the beach, shop around and enjoy a night of music and food!

It is wonderful to have a tourist guide, you know? And if ever you want to travel somewhere, no family, friends or relatives on that area...and you just want to have someone with you to tour you around to the greatest and interesting places, no worries! Picking Berries!

After bonding with friends, I went to the farm and started our Saturday morning with a fun family time! They were so excited to pick berries and I'm so looking forward to that event too coz I haven't done that before. Only picking out pumpkins and strawberries and we always enjoy that as a family! I mostly enjoy seeing my kids eating than picking,hahaha! I know that wasn't allowed there but sneaking a couple, I'm sure it won't hurt...only one makes it to the bucket and the rest is in their mouth,hahahaha!

Advancing Your Career

Like mentioned on my previous entry, I'd be out looking for a job sometime next month or so...I am just hoping I can find a full time job where my salary could help a bit with things around the house. I'd like to be able to take care of some bills or perhaps buy any furniture I would like to make our place more homey! Other than that, I am also eager to enhance my skills or keep my mind stimulated and interact with the outside world. It's not like I'm imprisoned in my own house, you know how different it is from a stay at home mom to a career woman...My eldest will be in school soon and we will have to put my youngest in a daycare center right next to her school. I think it would be good for her too! It will be a good change for me and my daughters, I'm sure!

My career choices are kinda limited since I didn't finish any degree. On the other hand, I have a bit of work experience before. I had a fun fun night with my girl friends last Friday! It's always a fabulous time whenever we get2gether! Whatever we are doing, kids or without kids! I bet you can tell I've been hangin' out more than once a week with friends nowadays...I have to coz it will soon end = ( I'll be moving an hour away from them and Shiela will be back in Canada...It won't be the same like we can always just call anytime and do something spontaneously!
