<span style="color: #4c4c4c;"> Ogni passaggio, dalla sala di posa allo sviluppo del negativo, dalle prove di stampa alla stampa vera e propria, si stratifica, lascia un segno. Questo post è dedicato a lui, al suo cinema privo di compromessi. Ai suoi film meravigliosi e conturbanti, che sono vere e proprie opere d&#8217;arte contemporanea realizzate con i mezzi del cinema classico. Come tutti i grandi artisti non è possibile classificare Antonioni e le sue opere, non è facile incasellarlo semplicemente tra i grandi registi italiani. Antonioni è stato qualcosa di diverso. Non a caso a Ferrara, sua città natale, è in corso una retrospettiva non in un cinema ma a <strong><a title="programma" href="http://www.palazzodiamanti.it/1076/lo-sguardo-di-michelangelo-antonioni-e-le-arti" target="_blank">Palazzo dei Diamanti</a></strong> sede espositiva della Galleria d&#8217;arte moderna e contemporanea. Il cinema stesso dopo di lui è diventato contemporaneo.</span></p>

<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #4c4c4c;">L&#8217;assenza di <strong><a title="wikipedia" href="http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mario_Monicelli" target="_blank">Mario Monicelli</a></strong> pesa, perché non era solo un vecchio regista o un venerato maestro, era  una voce schietta, senza inutili giri di parole. Era un pensiero lucido, presente, in grado di chiarire il sentire silenzioso di molti. Da più di un anno lui non c&#8217; è più, ma i suoi film, i suoi spudorati e bellissimi film non ci lasceranno mai. Tra tanti oggi mi è tornato in mente  &#8216;<strong><a title="wikipedia" href="http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vogliamo_i_colonnelli" target="_blank">Vogliamo i colonnelli</a>&#8216;</strong>. Nella notte tra il 7 e l&#8217;8 dicembre 1970 in Italia fu messo in atto un tentativo di golpe militare, diventato famoso come <strong><a title="wikipedia" href=" http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golpe_Borghese" target="_blank">golpe Borghese</a></strong>. Gli Italiani non si accorsero di nulla, solo tre mesi dopo un giornale rivelò che un gruppo eversivo di destra aveva tentato di rovesciare la democrazia. Di questa vicenda, come di tantissime altre nella nostra Storia, non si è mai saputa tutta la verità. Mario Monicelli pochi anni dopo nel 1973 ne fa un <a title="you tube" href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q8mOGVgWAOc" target="_blank">film</a> tragico e divertentissimo, dove ogni riferimento a persone e a eventi realmente accaduti è ovviamente casuale. Il registro è quello dei b movie italiani anni &#8217;70, la fotografia, il ritmo, le gag sono quelli, anche l&#8217;uso di certi attori caratteristi, seppure eccezionali, fa confondere questo film con una strampalata commedia sexy di quegli anni. In realtà quello che Monicelli ci dice con queste scelte di regia è che ad essere scadenti sono la storia che racconta e che ridicoli sono i suoi personaggi, non il film che invece è di una qualità finissima. A garantirlo ulteriormente ci sono Ugo Tognazzi, tra i più grandi attori del cinema italiano, la sceneggiatura di Age e Scarpelli, i costumi di Piero Tosi, le musiche di Carlo Rustichelli, il montaggio di Ruggero Mastroianni e la raffinata <a title="www.d-68.com" href="http://www.d-68.com/projects/vogliamo-i-colonnelli-mario-monicelli" target="_blank">grafica</a> di Sandro Lodolo. Non vi consiglio di vederlo, ve lo impongo. Dolcemente.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><em><span style="color: #888888;">The absence of <strong><a title="wikipedia" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mario_Monicelli" target="_blank">Mario Monicelli</a></strong> weighs, because he wasn&#8217;t just an old director or a revered master, he was an outspoken voice, without any useless twist of  words. He was a clear thinking, always present, able to explain the silent  feeling of many. He left more than a year ago, but his films, his shameless and beautiful films never will leave us. Among many titles today I came back to &#8216;<strong><a title="wikipedia" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/We_Want_the_Colonels" target="_blank">We Want the Colonels&#8217;</a></strong>. In the night between 7 and 8 December 1970 in Italy it was put in place an attempted military coup, become famous as the <strong><a title="wikipedia" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golpe_Borghese" target="_blank">golpe Borghese</a></strong>. The Italians didn&#8217;t perceive  anything, only three months after a newspaper revealed that a subversive right wing group had attempted to overthrow democracy. About this story, like many others in our history, was never known the whole truth. Mario Monicelli few years later in 1973 makes a tragic and humorous <a title="you tube" href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q8mOGVgWAOc" target="_blank">movie</a>, where all references to people and real events is obviously accidental. The style is that of the 70s Italian B movie, the photography, the rhythm, the gags, even the use of certain character actors, though exceptional, make us confuse this film with an odd sex comedy of those years. Actually what  Monicelli tells with these choices of direction is that to be trashy is the story , to be ridiculous are the characters, not the movie, that instead it&#8217;s of a fine quality. As further evidence there are: Ugo Tognazzi, one of the greatest actors of Italian cinema, the script by Age and Scarpelli, costumes by Piero Tosi, music by Carlo Rustichelli, the editing by Ruggero Mastroianni and the refined <a title="www.d-68.com" href="http://www.d-68.com/projects/vogliamo-i-colonnelli-mario-monicelli" target="_blank">graphics</a> of Sandro Lodolo. I&#8217;m not suggesting to see it, I&#8217;m imposing. Sweetly.</span></em></p>
