A true story which might help someone out there (I have replaced the real domain name with DOMAIN.COM): Couple days ago I have received few emails written in not-that-good english from "Valentin Lopez representing the Gera Agency" (vlopez@geraagency.com), apparently a French marketing company based in Paris. When I met J L Gatewood, he mentioned something about consolidating blog comments with social media comments and drawing them back to the blog post. That did sound like an interesting idea. jQuery grew in popularity exponentially in last couple years, and is pretty much a standard "tool" of a web developer. jQuery 1.5 is due soon, expected with hope to take our possibilities again to another level. What's the best way to use jQuery and JavaScript in our WordPress themes tho? According to the WP Codex the wp_enqueue_script() function should be used instead of the typical <script> tag. I prefer using wp_enqueue_script() in my theme's functions.php but I do see people using it directly in the theme's header.php. Recently I needed to validate a WordPress blog in a social media service by inserting the verification code into a new post and publishing it. It all went well and in few minutes I could remove the post. I have "unpublished it" (Draft), but the post would still show in the RSS feed, so I did go further and finally deleted the post.
