It’s finally here. It has taken along time since we launched the first version of moozel. If you don’t know left me bring you up to speed.

In the beginning

The first version of moozel was a test. I wanted to turn an unused website into a wordpress template and sell it. The template was UltimateMag (not available any more) a magazine styled template which sold quite well. Not over the top but enough for me to think about this properly and come up with something better.

The now

Today marks the launch of that moozel website. With a fresh new theme, businessFirst, which we hope will get more business online. We already have sold two versions of it and it’s only been live for about 1 hour. Both of these sales have requested that I customise the theme further for them through my design firm Able Net Design (7th best web design firm in Australia).

I can’t say as yet if this theme is a success but I personally believe that it will sell quite well.

For the future

I have some more theme concepts that I will start to develop now. This is my main goal over the next few weeks and then we will see where we go from there.

New Theme: businessFirst

For most of my professional work life I have been developing commercial based websites for companies around Australia and even the World, so it shouldn’t be a surprise that the first official wordpress theme to be released under our new bigger and better theme market place would be a business based theme.

I wanted to create something that get businesses online. In this day and age businesses have to have a website. It isn’t a luxury or a want anymore. In comes businessFirst.

A fairly generic business theme that can suite almost any sort of business. I took extra care in developing options which use on new Theme Framework, that would allow users of this theme to customise the layout as much as possible, with out any prior knowledge. That is the beauty of businessFirst.

A Theme Framework

While updating UltimateMag yesterday to the 960 grid system I thought it would be worth while creating a kind of WordPress Framework which would standardize the backend wordpress functions and make theme development a little easier, not to mention the job of updating themes and their functions.

So this morning I have put “freelanceFolio” on hold (oops let the cat out of the bag) and we have start to work on our framework.

Although we haven’t got to far with it I can already see the advantages to not only us but you. The people who buy our themes. The framework will make our themes just that little bit easier to work with..

I’m not sure if other theme developers have done this or use this method. Maybe we are late to adopt this methodology. We have only been around for 8 days!

Hello world!

The famous first post title on a fresh WordPress installation. Personally I am very happy to be writing this post under such a famous title. I know “Hello World” is usually the first piece of code written by someone learning a new programming language but how suited is it. Moozel says Hello World!.

We are new to the WordPress Premium Theme market but we are already collaborating with “guest” designers to bring you fresh themes for your WordPress blogs. On our own personal theme release timeline we have enough concepts to keep us going up until the end of the year.

Who Are We?

Well if you read the About page you will find out that Moozel was started by me Tristan Jud. I have watched the WordPress movement take form over the past few years and have seen the rise of the premium theme market. Personally it has always been something that I have wanted to get into I just couldn’t get around to it due to time constraints.

When I speak about Moozel I talk about it as it is a group of people. The truth is it is. All of our guest designers are part of the Moozel team. Our guest designers are chosen on their passion and love of the WordPress platform.

So Where Are The Themes?

Our first theme to be release will be UltimateMag which is a theme that I have personally been developing over the past few weeks. The theme is ready I am just doing some final testing before I place it up.

We also have a Free theme on it’s way which we hope will appeal to the personal blogger.

Is That All?

Well yes and no. There is so much to blog about and do when you launch a new online venture. I wasn’t going to post yet but since the site is kind of live I thought it would be best just incase someone comes across Moozel before it really does say Hello World!
