AIC

It's been a while since we posted here! We've been very busy with myGengo - so new client work has been taking a backseat.
We've just launched a new site for AIC, a Tokyo-based property agent. The brief was to create a stylish, futuristic site that brought a bit of glamour to the real estate industry.
The homepage flash animation features buildings creating themselves out of thin air - the idea was to bring the city to life and create something eye-catching and dynamic for an industry that's otherwise pretty traditional.
Check it out!

myGengo - Simple human translation

We're launching a site called myGengo soon. http://www.mygengo.com
This is the idea:
Translation was stuck in the past. Before myGengo, you could only get
free, fast, awful machine translation or expensive, slow human service.
Instead, we provide fast, super low-cost human translation good enough
for almost all situations, via an easy online interface. Our unique new
services let ordinary people publish and read foreign-language content
from around the world. That's simple human translation.
Our philosophy
We think that most of the time, people need translation that conveys accurate meaning, is readable and sounds good - but no more than that. So why should they pay more? We believe there's a middle ground between machine translation and expensive, expert translation. We want everyone to afford it.
What we're launching soon is just the very first phase of a number of new services to help the world
talk to each other.

We launched a site a few weeks ago, working with Majides to create a site specifically designed to encourage people in Japan to use Expression Engine - our favourite Content Management System.
Ellis Lab, the makers of Expression Engine, have been kind enough to show their support by giving us a Showcase interview on their site. Read it here.

We're all rocking out to this right now - a rap about SEO, HTML standards and good web design. I can't see how this won't be the next number 1 hit.
Or maybe not. A+ for effort though. Via the Brand Union's digital blog which is always on the pulse of the latest hip-hop/HTML crossover trends.

We've just completed a project for the Cluster Munition Coalition Ireland. This was a quick brief but a good opportunity to do a bold, striking piece of web design - we're sick of cookie-cutter sites that look exactly like one another just because they have to be content-managed, so we try to present information clearly in an on-brand way, but make it interesting.
Find out more here, or visit the site at www.stopclusterbombs.ie. (Please sign the petition too!)
