Lin has had a bee in her bonnet for long time about..um..bees.  She has been going to Sutton Coldfield Bee Keepers for a while and she feels that she has learnt enough to take the next step.

That next step is having a hive in the garden.  Although I was in favour of ensuring we encourage the honey bee (if they die out then we starve) I wasn’t sure about keeping them ourselves but I am now convinced and so we now have a rather busy colony.

I look forward to learning more about keeping them but mainly I’m going to enjoy just watching them.
