Wal-Mart’s $199 Linux computer has sold out in a matter of days with glowing Reviews.

If all you need to do is browse the internet and write documents, then this is a great choice. Although, it doesn’t come with a monitor and it’s ugly as hell.

Today I contacted craiglist to see if they had an option to automatically repost my company’s internship posting every month and bill us automatically as well. Apparently, they do not offer this service. I got the following response…

“Sorry we do not offer that service.”

Right now, when our post expires (every 30 days), I have to manually click the “repost” link and reinput our billing information as well for the posting fee ($75).

From a customer’s point of view, this gets kind of repetitive. I know it’s a minor inconvenience, but I can find better ways to spend my time . Let’s say it takes 20 minutes to be somewhere with an internet connection, turn on my laptop, open up my web browser, login to craigslist, find the post I want to repost, enter my billing information, and wait for the post to appear successfully. If I do that 12 times a year, that’s 4 hours of my life that could easily be automated.

Also , I don’t want to worry about our post not being visible if I forget to repost or am not available to click the repost button right away when my post expires. Each day our post is not visible to the public, we lose a potentially amazing intern from applying to our company.

From a business point of view, why wouldn’t craigslist want to automatically take my money on a recurring basis?

I’m a huge fan of craigslist and have used its service with great success before. I’d really like to see this feature soon. If you think an “automatic reposting” option would be helpful to you, please request this feature from craigslist at the following link to speed up implementation:
