Kahua Ranch, Hawaii

This is a view towards the ocean from the road leading up to the Kahua Ranch on the big island in Hawaii. We were there in January 2016. The weather on top of this mountain was cool and then became cold. The barbeque provided both warmth and sustenance. The food, the music, the friends and the family made for one of the most memorable moments from the trip. Not to mention the amazing horses.

Fraser’s Hill is a hidden gem. A serene mountaintop retreat that forces you to relax and enjoy nature. A small village with about 1000 permanent residents. A relaxed place with limited activities that forces a limited influx of tourists that just want to relax. Or play golf.
