The SUV that changed the fortunes of Skoda India and brought much-needed volumes to the brand is now getting ready for a new chapter. The Skoda Kylaq will receive a Sportline version later this year, giving buyers a sportier looking alternative without changing the formula that has helped the compact SUV become a success.

Skoda has confirmed that the Kylaq Sportline will arrive in September 2026. While many enthusiasts have been hoping for a more powerful version, the upcoming model will focus mainly on styling updates rather than mechanical changes.

What Will Change?

The Sportline badge is already familiar to Skoda buyers through the Slavia and Kushaq. The same treatment is expected to make its way to the Kylaq as well.

Expected exterior changes include:

Blacked-out grille

Black Skoda badges

Dark finish for ORVMs

Black roof treatment

Dark skid plates

Sportier alloy wheel design

Red brake calipers

These additions are likely to give the SUV a sharper appearance while keeping the overall design unchanged.

Cabin Updates Expected

The interior could also receive a few exclusive touches.

All-black cabin theme

Aluminium pedals

Unique upholstery design

Contrast stitching

Ambient lighting elements

The feature list is expected to remain largely similar to the higher variants already on sale.

Engine To Remain Unchanged

Under the bonnet, no major changes are expected.

The recently updated Kushaq received an 8-speed automatic transmission with its facelift, but there is no confirmation of a similar update for the Kylaq at this stage.

Variant Positioning

The Kylaq is currently sold in multiple variants:

Classic

Classic+

Signature

Signature+

Prestige

Prestige+

Industry expectations suggest the Sportline could slot somewhere near the top of the range, likely below the fully loaded Prestige trim. This means pricing may remain close to the current range of Rs 7.59 lakh to Rs 12.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

What About A Bigger Engine?

Interest in a 1.5-litre TSI-powered Kylaq continues to grow. Skoda has acknowledged that customers would like to see a larger engine option. However, the company says the proposal is still under study, and no final decision has been made yet.

To mark 108 years of Citroen globally, the French carmaker has rolled out a month-long celebration programme for customers in India. The campaign is already underway and brings a mix of ownership benefits, service savings and dealership activities for existing and prospective buyers.

The initiative is being conducted across Citroen dealerships from June 4 to June 30, 2026. Customers visiting dealerships during this period can take advantage of several limited-period offers on vehicles, accessories and after-sales services.

According to the company, the celebrations are inspired by the vision of founder Andre Citroen, who believed in making mobility practical and accessible for people. More than a century later, the brand continues to build its identity around comfort, design and innovation.

What Customers Can Expect

Citroën has introduced a range of offers as part of the anniversary celebrations.

Offer

Details

SUV Benefits

Limited-period offers across the Citroën SUV range

Maintenance Savings

Discounts on periodic maintenance jobs

Accessories Discount

10.8% off accessories and merchandise

Value-Added Services

10.8% discount on select services

Labour Waiver

Applicable for customers who scheduled maintenance on June 4

Referral Rewards

Special rewards for customer referrals

Giveaways

Customer engagement activities at dealerships

Apart from the offers, dealerships are also hosting customer interaction programmes during the campaign period.

Company Statement

Kumar Priyesh, Director, Automotive Brands, Stellantis India, said the company remains committed to offering products designed around Indian customer requirements. He added that Citroen’s Smart Car Platform plays an important role in delivering locally relevant engineering solutions while supporting localisation efforts.

The company also stated that it plans to continue strengthening its presence in India through customer-focused initiatives and product development.

Brand’s Plans For India

Citroen has been gradually expanding its portfolio in the country with models such as the C3, Aircross, Basalt and eC3. The anniversary campaign arrives at a time when the company is looking to increase customer engagement and improve ownership experiences across its network.

The celebrations will continue until the end of June at authorised Citroen dealerships nationwide.

Citroen eC3 X Launch Expected Soon

Alongside the anniversary celebrations, Citroen is also preparing to introduce the eC3 X in India. A teaser has already been released, hinting at several cosmetic and feature upgrades.

After appearing in multiple testing spy shots over the past few months, Norton has finally revealed complete details of the new Atlas and Atlas GT. Both motorcycles are expected to launch in India in the coming months. While they share the same engine and platform, they have been designed with different riding styles in mind, offering distinct characters for different types of riders.

The Atlas is built for riders who enjoy exploring beyond smooth roads. The Atlas GT, meanwhile, is designed for touring and everyday road riding. Despite their different personalities, both motorcycles come loaded with premium hardware and a long list of electronic features.

Engine Shared By Both Models

Power comes from a newly developed 585cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine with a 270-degree crankshaft.

Key figures include:

69 bhp at 9,300 rpm

57.5 Nm at 7,500 rpm

6-speed gearbox

Bi-directional quickshifter

Slipper clutch

Norton says the engine has been tuned to offer strong performance in the low and mid-range while still feeling lively at higher speeds.

Atlas Vs Atlas GT

The biggest differences are found in the suspension setup, wheel sizes and riding position.

Specification

Atlas

Atlas GT

Front Wheel

19-inch

17-inch

Rear Wheel

17-inch

17-inch

Suspension Travel

180 mm

140 mm

Seat Height

845 mm

815 mm

Ground Clearance

220 mm

–

Riding Style

Adventure Touring

Road Touring

The Atlas gets longer suspension travel and a taller stance, making it more suitable for rough roads and light off-road use.

The Atlas GT sits lower and uses 17-inch wheels at both ends, giving it a more road-focused character.

Chassis And Hardware

Both motorcycles are built around a steel trellis frame and use a cast aluminium swingarm.

Other highlights include:

Fully adjustable KYB suspension

Hydraulic preload adjustment at the rear

Dual 310 mm front disc brakes

270 mm rear disc brake

ByBre brake calipers

Norton claims the Atlas weighs 188 kg without fuel, placing it among the lighter motorcycles in this segment.

Packed With Rider Aids

One area where the Atlas range stands out is electronics.

A Bosch six-axis IMU manages several rider assistance systems, including:

Cornering ABS

Cornering traction control

Cornering cruise control

Wheelie control

Rear slide control

Rear lift control

Drag torque control

Riders can also choose from five riding modes:

Urban

Rain

Sport

Tour

Enduro

Large Screen And Connectivity Features

The Atlas and Atlas GT feature an 8-inch TFT touchscreen display.

Features include:

Turn-by-turn navigation

Bluetooth connectivity

Wi-Fi support

GoPro control

Norton Rider app integration

Ride telemetry

OTA software updates

USB-C charging port

Keyless ignition

The display is one of the largest units offered in this category.

Apex Variant Gets More Equipment

Norton will also offer higher-spec Apex versions of both motorcycles.

Additional equipment includes:

Heated grips

Tyre pressure monitoring system

Vehicle hold control

Electronic combined braking

Adjustable windscreen

LED cornering lights

LED puddle lamps

Rear luggage support system

The Apex variants are expected to appeal to riders planning long-distance touring.

Manufacturing And Expected India Launch

Although developed by Norton in the UK, production for India will take place at TVS Motor Company’s Hosur facility in Tamil Nadu.

In the UK, prices start at £8,250, which works out to around Rs 10.5 lakh. Indian prices have not been announced yet, though local manufacturing is expected to make them considerably more affordable.
The post Norton Atlas And Atlas GT Full Specifications Revealed Ahead Of India Launch! first appeared on Motoroids.

Now, the spotlight is shifting to the electric version. Tata Sierra EV will make its debut on June 30, 2026, expanding Tata’s electric vehicle portfolio further.

Once launched, the Sierra EV will sit between the Curvv EV and the Harrier EV in Tata’s lineup. It will also become the brand’s seventh electric passenger vehicle in India.

Expected Battery Options And Drivetrain

Tata has not revealed official battery specifications yet, but the Sierra EV is expected to share its underpinnings with the Harrier EV.

Hyundai recently teased the exterior of the next-generation i20, giving us a glimpse of what the updated model will look like from the outside. The teaser showed a fresh lighting setup, new styling elements and a more modern appearance. Now, the company has released another teaser, this time offering a first look at the cabin and some of the technology that will be available in the new model.

The fourth-generation i20 is expected to make its global debut around the 2026 FIFA World Cup and will bring one of the biggest updates seen on the hatchback in recent years.

New Screens Borrowed From Venue

The latest teaser reveals a dual-screen setup that looks similar to the one seen in Hyundai’s Venue SUV.

Key highlights include:

Twin digital displays placed in a single housing

Larger infotainment touchscreen

Fully digital instrument cluster

New graphics for the driver’s display

Reports suggest both screens could measure 12.3 inches, making them larger than the units offered in the current i20. The new system is also expected to support wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay without requiring any additional adapter.

A separate display for climate controls can also be seen in the teaser, which should make daily operation easier.

More Features Expected

Hyundai is likely to add several new features to the hatchback.

Expected equipment includes:

Feature

Expected Availability

360-degree camera

Yes

New steering wheel

Yes

Fresh upholstery colours

Yes

Wireless smartphone connectivity

Yes

Level 2 ADAS

Possible

Electronic parking brake

Higher variants

Automatic transmission

Selected variants

Spy shots have also revealed rear AC vents, three rear headrests and improved cabin materials.

Exterior Gets A Major Redesign

The new i20 will look very different from the current model.

Some of the changes already seen include:

Connected front light bar

Connected rear light bar

New grille design

Revised bumper styling

New Hyundai logo placement

Fresh alloy wheel designs

The rear section gets a new LED lighting signature, while black trim below the rear windscreen adds a sportier touch.

Earlier teasers also hinted at a more crossover-inspired shape. The hatchback appears to have a flatter bonnet, stronger wheel arches and a slightly more upright stance than before.

Engine Options Likely To Continue

Under the hood, Hyundai is expected to retain familiar petrol engines for India.

Expected engine choices:

1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol producing 84 hp

1.0-litre turbo petrol producing 120 hp

The company is also developing a new 1.2-litre direct-injection turbo petrol engine. This unit is expected to offer more power and torque than the current 1.0-litre turbo motor. Hyundai has not yet confirmed whether this engine will be introduced with the next-generation i20.

Some international markets could also receive mild-hybrid, flex-fuel and hybrid versions.

Platform And Launch Details

The next-generation hatchback is expected to use the Hyundai Bayon platform. Reports also suggest the new model could be slightly larger than the current i20, which may help improve cabin space.

Hyundai has not officially confirmed an India launch yet. However, with multiple teasers already released and the global debut drawing closer, more details are expected soon.
The post Next-Gen Hyundai i20 Interior Teased Ahead Of Global Debut first appeared on Motoroids.

Finally, the first SUV from Skoda to wear the famous RS badge for India is on its way. The new Kodiaq RS is set to arrive in the coming weeks, with bookings scheduled to begin on June 22. Unlike the standard Kodiaq, this version brings more power, sportier styling, upgraded hardware and a stronger connection to Skoda’s motorsport history.

What makes the launch even more special is its limited availability. Only 50 units have been allocated for the first batch, making it one of the rarest Skoda models to go on sale in India.

Kodiaq RS At A Glance

More Power Than The Standard Kodiaq

The Kodiaq RS uses the same 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine family seen in performance-oriented Volkswagen Group models, but with a much stronger tune than the regular Kodiaq sold in India.

Key figures include:

265 hp of power

400 Nm of torque

7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox

All-wheel-drive system

Compared to the standard Kodiaq, power rises by 60 hp while torque increases by 80 Nm.

According to Skoda India, the Kodiaq RS will be the quickest Skoda model ever offered in the country.

Sportier Look Inside And Out

The RS version gets several visual upgrades that help distinguish it from the regular SUV.

Exterior highlights include:

Larger 20-inch alloy wheels

Red brake calipers

RS-specific bumpers

Blacked-out styling elements

The cabin also gets its own identity.

All-black interior theme

Red contrast stitching

RS branding

Sport seats with integrated headrests

The dashboard layout remains familiar, but the sportier details help create a more focused feel.

Better Braking Hardware

The upgrades are not limited to straight-line performance.

Skoda has equipped the Kodiaq RS with:

Slotted brake discs

Two-piston front brake calipers

Performance-focused chassis setup

International versions also offer adaptive suspension, although it remains to be seen whether that feature will be offered in India.

Limited Numbers Could Mean Quick Sell Out

Skoda has confirmed that only 50 units are part of the initial allocation. The company may bring more units later depending on demand, although securing additional allocation could be challenging because of strong global demand and import-related limitations.

This makes the Kodiaq RS one of the most exclusive Skoda SUVs planned for India.

2026 Skoda Kodiaq Also Gets ADAS

Notably, Skoda recently updated the standard Kodiaq range for 2026.

New additions include:

Adaptive cruise control

Lane keep assist

Blind spot monitoring

Front collision warning and braking

Rear traffic alert

Exit warning system

Adaptive headlights

The Sportline variant now also gets a 360-degree camera and illuminated grille strip, features that were previously reserved for the top-spec version.

The standard Kodiaq continues with a 204 hp 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with a 7-speed DCT and all-wheel drive.
The post Skoda will commence bookings for the Kodiaq RS on June 22 first appeared on Motoroids.

The Kia Sonet has received a 1-star Adult Occupant Protection rating and a 3-star Child Occupant Protection rating in the latest Global NCAP crash tests. While the headline may sound worrying, the vehicle tested was not the same version that Indian customers buy from showrooms.

The SUV evaluated by Global NCAP was an India-made export model sold in South Africa. This version comes with only two airbags and does not get Electronic Stability Control as standard, unlike the Indian-spec Sonet.

Crash Test Scores

Category

Score

Rating

Adult Occupant Protection

21.29 / 34

1 Star

Child Occupant Protection

28.57 / 49

3 Star

Global NCAP noted that protection for the driver’s and passenger’s head and neck was good during the frontal impact test. Protection for the driver’s left tibia was rated good, while protection for the driver’s right tibia and both tibias of the front passenger was rated adequate.

Driver chest protection was rated adequate, while passenger chest protection was rated good. However, knee protection was rated marginal because occupants could come into contact with hard structures located behind the dashboard during a crash. Protection for the driver’s feet was rated poor.

Another concern highlighted in the report was the vehicle structure.

Footwell area found unstable

Bodyshell rated unstable

Structure not capable of handling additional crash loads

Side pole test not conducted due to absence of curtain airbags

During the side impact test, protection for the head and pelvis was rated good. Protection for the abdomen was adequate, while chest protection was marked poor.

Global NCAP also noted that the ESC fitted to the vehicle meets technical requirements but is not offered as standard equipment. The agency further stated that only the driver’s seat belt reminder met its requirements.

Child Safety Performance

The Sonet performed better in child occupant tests.

Child Occupant Protection Breakdown

Score

Dynamic Score

24 / 24

CRS Installation Score

4.57 / 12

Vehicle Assessment Score

0 / 13

For testing, child seats were installed using ISOFIX anchorages and a support leg. Both the 18-month-old and 3-year-old dummies recorded full scores in frontal and side impact evaluations.

The SUV, however, lost points for a few reasons:

The rear centre seat gets a lap belt, while other seating positions use three-point seat belts

No passenger airbag deactivation function for rear-facing child seats

Child seat installation limitations in certain seating positions

What About The Sonet Sold In India?

This result does not represent the Sonet currently sold in India.

Kia offers the Indian-spec Sonet with:

Six airbags as standard

Electronic Stability Control

Vehicle Stability Management

Advanced safety features on higher variants, including ADAS technology

QJ Motor could soon add another motorcycle to its India portfolio. The company’s SRV 600 V2 has now been spotted testing on Indian roads, indicating that a launch may be under consideration.

The motorcycle was seen without camouflage in a black shade, suggesting that testing is already at an advanced stage. If launched, it could become the largest-capacity QJ Motor motorcycle currently sold in the country.

Cruiser Styling With A Strong Road Presence

The SRV 600 V2 follows a classic bobber-inspired design.

Some of the key styling highlights include:

Round LED headlamp

Circular LED turn indicators

Teardrop-shaped fuel tank

Bar-end mirrors

Twin exhaust system

Alloy wheels at both ends

Low-slung cruiser stance

The fuel tank carries special graphics along with “Viatic” and “Always Forward” lettering. Chrome detailing around the engine, wheels and airbox adds a premium touch.

A small pillion seat is also visible, although it appears removable depending on the rider’s preference.

Engine And Performance

Powering the motorcycle is a 550cc liquid-cooled V-twin engine.

Engine specifications

The V-twin layout is expected to deliver a distinct exhaust note along with strong low and mid-range performance.

QJ Motor claims a riding range of around 400 km from the 16-litre fuel tank.

Hardware And Features

The motorcycle is built around a steel frame and comes equipped with premium cycle parts.

USD front forks

Twin rear shock absorbers

Dual-channel ABS

320 mm front disc brake

Rear disc brake

Circular colour LCD display

The bike rides on 16-inch wheels fitted with:

130/90 front tyre

180/65 rear tyre

Other important figures include:

Seat height: 705 mm

Ground clearance: 120 mm

Kerb weight: around 201-205 kg

The low seat height could make the motorcycle accessible to a wide range of riders.

Expected Rivals

If QJ Motor brings the SRV 600 V2 to India, it could compete with:

Royal Enfield Shotgun 650

Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650

The combination of a V-twin engine, belt-drive setup and cruiser styling could help it stand out in this segment.

QJ Motor’s Journey In India

QJ Motor entered the Indian market in 2022 through its partnership with Hyderabad-based Aadishwar Auto Ride India (AARI).

At present, the brand sells four motorcycles in India:

AARI also manages brands such as Benelli, Keeway, Zontes and Moto Morini through its dealership network.

The addition of the SRV 600 V2 would help QJ Motor enter the middleweight cruiser segment, where competition has been growing steadily.

Ducati has expanded its off-road motorcycle portfolio with the reveal of the new Desmo450 EDS. It is the company’s first modern street-legal enduro motorcycle and has been developed from the Desmo450 MX motocross bike. While both motorcycles share the same foundation, the EDS has been modified extensively for long distance trail riding, technical terrain, rocky paths and forest routes.

European deliveries are scheduled to begin in July 2026, while India could get the motorcycle during the first quarter of 2027.

Key Highlights

Details

Information

Engine

449.6cc single cylinder

Gearbox

6 speed

Front Wheel

21 inch

Rear Wheel

18 inch

Fuel Tank

8.5 litres

Front Suspension Travel

310 mm

Rear Suspension Travel

301 mm

India Launch

Q1 2027 Expected

Engine Tuned For Trail Riding

The Desmo450 EDS is powered by a 449.6cc single-cylinder engine featuring Ducati’s desmodromic valve technology. The motorcycle uses the same engine family as the motocross version, but several changes have been made to suit enduro riding conditions.

These include:

Smaller 42 mm throttle body

New camshafts

Lower compression piston

Revised exhaust system

Heavier crankshaft and flywheel assembly

The result is stronger low and mid range performance, which is useful when riding through slow sections, steep climbs and uneven surfaces.

The six speed gearbox also receives dedicated ratios. First gear is shorter for improved control, while sixth gear is taller for relaxed riding during longer journeys. Ducati has also reduced clutch effort to make extended riding sessions less tiring.

New Setup For Tough Terrain

The Desmo450 EDS rides on an aluminium perimeter frame derived from the MX model. Ducati has revised the engine mounting points to achieve a different balance of stiffness suitable for enduro use.

The frame weighs under 9 kg and consists of just 11 components.

Suspension duties are handled by Showa.

49 mm fully adjustable USD fork

310 mm front wheel travel

Softer spring rates than the MX

Fully adjustable rear monoshock

301 mm rear wheel travel

Development work included input from multiple enduro world champion Antoine Meo.

Wheels, Brakes And Protection

The motorcycle gets hardware designed specifically for off road conditions.

21 inch front wheel

18 inch rear wheel

Takasago Excel aluminium rims

Metzeler Six Days Extreme tyres

Brembo braking system

Galfer brake discs

Protection equipment is fitted as standard.

Hand guards

Engine guards

Aluminium engine covers

Reinforced clutch and alternator covers

Unlike the motocross bike, magnesium covers have been replaced with aluminium units to better withstand impacts from rocks and obstacles.

Features And Electronics

An LED headlamp, LCD instrument cluster and two riding modes are included as standard.

Buyers can also opt for Ducati’s Performance Racing Kit, which adds:

Ducati Traction Control

Launch Control

Engine Brake Control

Quickshifter

Additional riding settings

The traction control system can recognise situations such as jumps and reduce unnecessary intervention. Riders can also adjust various settings through Ducati’s X Link application.

Smart Maintenance Technology

One unusual feature is the adaptive maintenance system. The motorcycle continuously monitors engine load and riding conditions through onboard software.

Based on usage patterns, service intervals can change accordingly.

Piston replacement between 90 and 120 hours

Major service between 180 and 240 hours

This allows maintenance schedules to better match real world riding conditions.

Other details

Ducati will start sales of the Desmo450 EDS in Europe from July 2026 before expanding distribution to additional markets. With the Desmo450 MX already available in India, the chances of the new enduro motorcycle arriving here look strong. Current expectations point towards an Indian launch during the first quarter of 2027.
The post New Ducati Desmo450 EDS Unveiled, India Launch Expected In Early 2027! first appeared on Motoroids.
