A new motorcycle from Triumph Motorcycles has been spotted again on Indian roads, and it gives a much clearer picture now. The upcoming Triumph Bonneville 400 looks close to production and carries a strong old school feel.

This bike follows the well known Bonneville design, but in a smaller and more practical format for India.

Classic design stays strong

The design continues with a very traditional Bonneville feel. It looks simple but has a premium touch with proper retro detailing.

Key design elements

Large teardrop fuel tank

Long rounded mudguards

Boxy side panels

Peashooter style exhaust

Chrome finish on engine and exhaust area

It also gets a proper upright riding stance, which should make it comfortable for daily use as well as longer rides.

Lighting setup is modern but still matches the retro theme

Round LED headlight

Oval tail light

Circular LED indicators

Hardware and build

Triumph has kept the hardware simple and classic.

Telescopic front forks

Twin rear shock absorbers

Wire spoke wheels

New chassis and updated swingarm

The India test model also shows useful additions like a saree guard and engine guard, which makes it more practical for local use.

Engine and performance

The bike is expected to use a 349cc liquid cooled engine.

Expected details

Single cylinder setup

Around 29 PS power

Around 31 Nm torque

This engine may be tuned differently compared to other Triumph 400 bikes to match the relaxed nature of this motorcycle.

Size and road presence

The Bonneville 400 has a slightly bigger and more solid look compared to bikes like the Speed 400. It comes with a larger fuel tank, wider body panels and a longer overall stance. All of this makes the bike look more planted on the road and gives it a richer, more premium feel when you see it in person.

Launch timeline and rivals

The bike has been seen testing many times now, which clearly suggests that the launch is getting very close. It is expected to arrive in India during the September to October 2026 period. The pricing is likely to be around Rs 2.5 lakh (ex-showroom), placing it in the middle of the retro motorcycle segment. Once it enters the market, it will directly compete with the Royal Enfield Classic 350, Honda CB350 and Jawa 350, all of which are already strong names in this space.

A change in global conditions is now showing its effect on car prices in India. BYD has officially announced a price revision for its electric vehicles in India, which will come into effect from May 1, 2026, and will apply across the entire range.

Price hike details

The increase will be between 2 to 3 percent depending on the model.

Approximate impact

Around Rs 50,000 increase on lower priced models

Up to about Rs 1.7 lakh on higher variants

This change will affect every car sold by the brand in India.

Models affected

BYD Atto 3

BYD eMax 7

BYD Seal

BYD Sealion 7

These are the four models currently available, and all will see revised pricing.

Reason behind the increase

The main reason is rising input cost and global supply issues.

Key factors

Disruption in the Strait of Hormuz

Higher cost of raw materials like aluminium

Increase in petroleum coke prices

Higher cost of synthetic graphite used in EV batteries

Rise in shipping and logistics cost

The situation in the Middle East has made trade routes less stable. This has directly increased the cost of materials and transport.

For an electric vehicle brand, battery materials are a major part of production cost. When these prices go up, the final cost of the car also increases.

Previous price change

Earlier this year, the company had increased prices of the Sealion 7 in January. That change was limited to one model. This time, the update is wider and covers the full lineup.

Industry trend

The situation in global trade has been unstable since late February. This has affected supply chains and increased costs for many industries. The auto sector is also seeing the impact.

Even other carmakers like Hyundai Motor India and Tata Motors have also announced smaller price hikes recently.

What it means

A small design change can make a scooter feel very different in daily use, and that is exactly what Yamaha has done with the Yamaha Fascino 125. The updated version is now on sale with a starting price of Rs 76,500 ex showroom.

This update does not touch the engine or core setup, but the visual changes are easy to notice, especially from the rear. The new look has also been developed by Yamaha’s India R&D team based on customer feedback.

What’s new in design

The rear section has been reworked to give a cleaner and sharper look. The earlier setup had indicators and tail lamp placed together. Now the layout is different.

New tail lamp with V shaped light design

Indicators are now placed separately on both sides

Side panels get a slightly flatter design

New decals added across variants

The scooter now looks slimmer from the rear and feels more neat in design. These changes also help it look more modern on the road.

Variants and price

The Fascino continues with three variants and multiple colour options.

Drum variant starts at Rs 76,500

Disc variant priced around Rs 88,000

Top S variant goes up to Rs 95,200

Colour options depend on variant.

Drum gets red black white shades

Disc gets blue green and other colours

S variant gets matte grey and matte black

Engine and performance

There are no changes here. The same trusted setup continues.

125cc air cooled engine

Power around 8.2 hp

Torque around 10.3 Nm

It also keeps Yamaha’s hybrid assist system.

Smart Motor Generator for silent start

Stop and start system

Small electric boost during acceleration

This setup helps in smoother city rides and slightly better pickup.

Features and practicality

The feature list remains mostly the same, with a few highlights on the top variant.

Colour TFT display on S variant

Turn by turn navigation support

Answer back function

Other useful bits include

Telescopic front suspension

Side stand engine cut off

21 litre under seat storage

E20 fuel compatibility

The scooter continues to be easy to use in daily traffic with light weight and simple controls.

A quick milestone

Yamaha has also shared that Fascino has crossed 1.5 million units in production since its launch. Over time, it has moved to a 125cc engine, fuel injection and now hybrid support.

Rivals

The scooter continues to compete with strong options in the 125cc segment like the Honda Activa 125, TVS Jupiter 125, Suzuki Access 125 and Hero Destini 125. These models are already popular for their reliability, features and everyday usability, making the segment quite competitive
The post 2026 Yamaha Fascino 125 Launched with New Styling Updates, Starts at Rs 76,500 first appeared on Motoroids.

A new SUV from Renault is getting ready for India and it brings a fresh direction for the brand. The upcoming Renault Bridger is not just another launch. It is part of Renault’s bigger futuREady plan for India, where the company wants to grow faster and also use India as a hub for global markets.

This SUV will sit in the compact space and will take on some strong rivals already present in the market.

Engine and performance

Renault is planning to offer a new turbo petrol engine with this SUV.

1.2 litre turbo petrol engine

3 cylinder setup expected

Power close to 115 hp

Torque around 190 Nm

Manual gearbox likely

This engine is already seen in global models like the Renault Clio 6. It is expected to offer a good mix of performance and fuel efficiency.

Electric version also coming

One big highlight is the electric version. This could be the first EV from Renault in India.

Battery pack up to around 40 kWh

Range close to 500 km claimed

Real world range around 350 km

LFP battery type expected

400 volt architecture

Charging and tech

Charging and tech on the Bridger EV is expected to cover all the basics. It could support DC fast charging along with AC home charging for daily use. Features like regenerative braking and a possible vehicle to load function may also be offered. This setup should make it practical for both city driving and longer trips.

Platform and build

The Bridger will use a new base called RGMP platform. This is the same platform that also supports the new Duster. This platform is made to support petrol as well as electric versions, which helps Renault offer both options in one model line.

Bigger plans for India

Renault has clear plans for the future.

Target to have 7 models by 2030

India to become one of top 3 markets

Focus on exports from India

Plan to reach around Rs 22000 crore in exports

The Bridger will play an important role in this plan as a volume product.

What to expect

Sporty design and strong road presence

Focus on both city and highway use

Petrol and EV options in one lineup

Made for India and global markets

This SUV is expected to arrive soon and will sit in a very competitive space.

Rivals in the segment

The petrol version will compete with

Tata Nexon

Tata Punch

Mahindra XUV 3XO

Citroen C3

The electric version will go up against EV versions of these models as well.

Conclusion

The Bridger looks like a big step for Renault. It brings new engine options, an electric version and a fresh platform. With both petrol and EV choices, it gives more flexibility and could attract a wide range of buyers.
The post Upcoming Renault Bridger to Get New Turbo Engine And EV Option! first appeared on Motoroids.

A new electric scooter has entered the market with numbers that instantly grab attention. The Simple Ultra is now on sale in India with a starting price of Rs 2,34,999 ex-showroom. Deliveries have already started, so buyers can visit showrooms or book it online right away.

This scooter puts its focus on two things. Range and performance. That is where it makes its mark.

It is also claimed to be one of the longest range electric scooters in India right now.

Battery and performance

The biggest highlight here is what sits under the body.

6.5 kWh battery pack

Claimed range of 400 km

Top speed of 115 kmph

0 to 40 kmph in 2.77 seconds

These numbers put it among the quickest and longest range scooters available right now.

The scooter is built not just for city use but also for longer rides, which is where the higher range starts to matter more.

It also gets traction control for better grip.

Four levels of traction control

Helps maintain stability on different roads

Features on offer

The feature list covers the basics well for daily use.

7 inch display for rider information

Digital console setup

Charging time details are not shared yet, so that part is still unclear.

Availability and delivery

Deliveries have already begun across India.

Bookings opened earlier

Test rides now available

Can be bought from showrooms and online

The company currently has close to 70 touchpoints across cities like Bengaluru, Delhi, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kochi and Patna. Expansion is planned in cities like Nagpur, Ranchi and Bhubaneswar.

Product lineup

This model is part of a bigger plan from the brand.

Fourth product launch in 2026

Falls under the Gen 2 lineup

Sits above the Simple One and OneS

Other scooters in the range offer lower claimed range, roughly between 190 km and 265 km. This clearly shows this new model is built to push range higher than before.

Market position

The price places it in the premium electric scooter space, where it goes up against rivals like Ola S1 Pro, Ather 450 Apex and TVS iQube ST.

What really sets it apart is the claimed 400 km range, which is higher than most options in this segment.

The company says the idea was to offer strong performance along with long range in one package. This new scooter follows that direction closely.
The post New Simple Ultra electric scooter launched in India at Rs 2.35 lakh first appeared on Motoroids.

The new Volkswagen ID.3 Neo is here with a fresh update that changes how the car feels inside and improves driving range too. It is still the entry-level EV from Volkswagen in global markets, but now it looks more modern and practical.

The changes are not only on the outside. The biggest shift is inside the cabin where Volkswagen has brought back proper physical buttons after customer feedback.

Exterior changes

The exterior design is not completely new, but it now looks cleaner and more refined.

Front design now matches newer Volkswagen EV style

Thicker light bar placed lower than before

Updated front bumper look

New alloy wheel designs

Body coloured roof instead of black finish

Rear tail lamps remain the same design

Side profile stays almost unchanged

Door handles remain pull type

Renault Group has shared a clear plan for India, and it looks serious this time. The company wants India to become one of its top three global markets by 2030. Along with growing sales, it also plans to use India as a base for exports and engineering work. This strategy is called ‘futuREady India’ and it covers products, technology, exports and customer experience.

The announcement was made by Mr. François Provost, CEO of Renault Group, during his visit to India.

New cars on the way

Renault is getting ready with a fresh lineup for the next few years. The company plans to launch 7 new models by 2030, covering both small cars and SUVs. These models will come with different engine options, including petrol, strong hybrid and electric. The company already showcased the new Renault Duster earlier this year. It is expected to be one of the main products. Along with this, a new SUV concept called Bridger has also been revealed, and more models will be introduced over time to complete the full lineup.

New platforms for future cars

All upcoming Renault models will be built on new platforms.

RGEP for smaller cars

RGMP for larger SUVs

These platforms are designed to be flexible and can support multiple powertrain options, including petrol, hybrid and fully electric setups. This gives Renault more flexibility to shape its cars based on market needs.

Better design and more tech

Renault is also focusing on making its cars better in terms of design and cabin feel.

You can expect

Updated design language

Bigger and better screens

More connected features

New electronic system for future updates

The focus is not only on adding features, but also on making the cars feel more premium than before.

Ownership support changes

Renault will improve ownership experience under the Renault Forever program.

7 year warranty

Better service support

Easier ownership process

This should help in building more trust among buyers.

India will play a bigger role

India is set to play a bigger role for Renault than before. The Chennai plant is now fully owned by the company, with around 6,000 engineers and a total workforce of nearly 15,000 people. The work done here will support not just India but also global projects, including design, software, and vehicle development. With futuREady India, Renault is placing India at the centre of its global plan, focusing on growth, engineering, manufacturing, and exports.

India already contributes more than one-third of Renault’s growth potential in markets where the brand operates. The company now aims to turn India into both a growth engine and a global technology hub.

Export plans

Exports are a big part of this strategy.

Target of around 2 billion euro by 2030

Includes vehicles, components, and R&D services

Focus on markets like South America and other global regions

Strengthens India’s role in Renault’s global supply chain

This helps Renault use India’s cost and manufacturing advantage.

Quick look

Area

Details

New models

7 cars

Powertrain

Petrol Hybrid EV

Platforms

RGEP RGMP

Key models

Duster Bridger

Warranty

7 years

Exports

€2 billion target

Final line

Renault is putting more focus on India again with its futuREady India plan. New cars, better tech, stronger export plans and improved ownership support show that the company wants to grow here in a more serious and long-term way.
