Another Korean Drama OST to be reviewed. If you know me well, you'll sure know what kind of song I'll be recommending this time. Gotcha! Another sad touching song named 'Uh Dduk Ha Jyo' in Tree in Heaven / Heaven's Tree OST (천국의 나무/Chun-kook-eh Na-moo). I've embedded the song below. Let's get obsessed!

Touching isn't it? Frankly, I haven't watched this Korean series. I bet it is a melodramatic one. This is because it originated from the same producer as 'Stairway To Heaven'. It's a short drama indeed with only 10 episodes. If you watched Stairway to Heaven before, you'll notice that the cast are the young 'Han Jung Suh' and 'Song Joo' acted by Choi Ji Woo and Kwon Sang Woo.

Two actors from the acclaimed "Stairway To Heaven" reunite in this series about a loving girl and her autistic step-brother, who go through a series of hardships together at the hands of their neglectful broken families and greedy relatives.

This is a beautiful documentary made by BBC United Kingdom. It reminds us how mystical the world is. How beautiful the world is!

I purposely compile this video above for my personal collection and recommendation. The video above shows the best part of the documentary. This documentary is filmed using the latest technology and aerial photography enabling to track some of the greatest mass migrations.

The lives of animals and plants are dominated by the sun and fresh water which trigger seasonal journeys. In the Arctic spring, a mother polar bear and cubs emerge from their winter den. They have just two weeks to cross the frozen sea before it melts and they become stranded. Share the most intimate and complete picture of polar bear life ever filmed. Further south, time-lapse cameras capture the annual transformation created by the Okavango floods.

It's a worth-to-watch documentary. Check it out in BBC website: www.bbc.co.uk It's a breathtaking exploration of our world and its wildlife.

I have wanted to write this post since weeks ago. But there is always something that interrupted me from doing so. First, I'm having my final semester examination, then, spending time renovating this blog. Added tonnes of new features, you should check it out! Ok.. ok.. seems like I'm out of topic. Now, let me present you:

This was the first feature for 20th Century Fox's animation division. It is a classic for all ages. Don't you agree? I watched this film since 13. And I love it so much till now I'm 23. I love the OST so much and this is my first OST ever bought in 1998. I still have it in cassette.

ONCE UPON A DECEMBER - Download

This is my favorite soundtrack and scene in the film. 10 years past, the lullaby still rhymes in my mind. The haunting, poignant "Once Upon a December" sequence, one of the finest scenes in any recent film, is unforgettable, as we watch Anya's yearnings take the form of a ghostly dance with memories of a vanished life. And the final reunion where hostility melts gradually into acceptance, is one of the most moving and satisfying moments in film.

After a quiet last couple of years, Rowan Atkinson returns to the big screen in what will probably be the last outing for Mr. Bean. It has been 10 years since the last movie "Bean: The Ultimate Disaster"

Well, I would say it's the same old jokes we're watching. But, we just love it, wouldn't we? I've watched this movie last week. At first, it was quite boring for me as we're so used to the jokes. But then this scene really makes me laugh till my jaws aches. The OPERA SCENE!

Mr Bombastic and definitely the last song really thrills me... It was O Mio Babbino Caro sung by Maria Callas. Mr Bean is so awesome. That scene is the funniest and touching of all. Classic!

But, I was wondering where is the teddy? You know his teddy... his pride and joy, inseparable companion and closest friend

According to Rowan Atkinson (Mr Bean), this time Mr Bean did not bringing along with his teddy. "We want to portray Mr Bean being all alone without any friends in France"...

You guys should watch. I personally recommend this. I rate this movie 4 stars. Watch it or you won't have any chance in future. Or may be you got to wait for another 10 years.

Well, this time it is not Korean Drama. Neither MyGirl nor Goong. It is a Taiwan Drama that I've just finished watching. Named 花樣少年少女 / Hua Yang Shao Nian Shao Nu. Also known as Hanazakarino Kimitachihe / Hana Kimi. The drama is based on the Japanese shoujo manga "Hanazakari no Kimitachi e" (花ざかりの君たちへ) by Hisaya Nakajo. The literal translation is "For You In Full Blossom." The manga is also known as Hana Kimi.

This is the latest Taiwan Drama. Just finished airing in Taiwan on March 4, 2007. And still airing in Singapore (Channel U). Very short, a romance comedy drama that spans 15 episodes. If you love funny dramas, this should be your choice. For me, it's another physiotherapy treatment for my stomach muscle since MyGirl. You'll laugh and laugh and still keep laughing. No paper towel needed.. as no crying scene in this drama.

I love the story plot but I don't really like the ending. I rate this drama 3 stars . I love the OST especially the opening "Zen Me Ban" and ending theme song "Zhuan Shu Tian Shi".

Synopsis

After watching a high jump competition on TV, Lu Rui Xi is so inspired by a jumper named Zuo Yi Quan, she decides to transfer to his school. The problem: she is a girl, and he attends an all-boy school. Solution: She becomes a boy. Thus, she begins her uphill battle to disguise her true gender and show Quan she is his #1 fan.

What Rui Xi doesn't know is that Quan has discovered her secret. However, he is keeping the secret for her and from her. Why? He likes her and doesn't want her to leave his side. If that means treating her as one of the guys and helping her passing off as a guy, then so be it.

Rui Xi's "manliness" couldn't fool her classmate Jin Xiu Yi's girl radar. However, since Xiu Yi is under the assumption that no girl can attend all-boy school, he starts to question his own sexual orientation when he falls in love with Rui Xi, the boy.

It has been quite some time I didn't come out with a post due to my busy schedule lately. This time I'm not reviewing on any drama but would like to recommend you a k-pop 'song' that I've been really addicted to recently.

A song named BLOOD (Pi) sang by a very popular duo group in Korea 'Fly To The Sky'. Fly to the Sky (hangul:플라이 투 더 스카이) is a South Korean R&B duo, consisting of U.S.-born Brian Joo (Korean: 브라이언) and South Korean native Fany. This song is found in their 6th Album - Transition.

Beautiful high pitch voices by the duo. Great song... I'm not quite sure the meaning of the song. But one thing I can be very sure, if you are a sentimental kind of person, or someone who love sad touching songs.. this is your choice. I've ranked this as one of my favorite playlist. I rate this song 5 star

I discover this song after MyGirl Korean Drama. Nope, it is not in the OST but I know it from the Music Video below. If you're a MyGirl fan, you definitely watched this FanMade Music Video before.

Some Goong fans might feel dissapointed. Well, they changed the casts.. This is a fact because Shin and Yul decided to step down and that Shin's sister would inherit the throne. However, the twist of Goong 2 is that a commoner is found to have royal blood (In this case, the commoner is played by Se7ven). Se7ven is another cast, not Shin/ Yul.

Synopsis

The ending of “Goong” revealed that ultimately Lee Shin and Lee Yul didn’t inherit the throne, leading to the temporarily ascension of Shin’s sister Hyemyeong. The sequel will thus continue with this plot as the palace discovers the existence of a royal grandson living among commoners. In turns out that he have absolutely no clue about his identity. After he graduated from high school, he works as a delivery boy. He didn’t know until the palace invited him to come and he suddenly became a member of the imperial family in one night. Upon his entrance in the palace, he began his training. He will be groomed to become emperor. The inspiration for this plot came from the true story of the Joseon dynasty where a commoner became the emperor.

My Opinion

Well, I haven't watch this drama yet. I'll definitely watch it since I've watched Goong 1. You can watch it on YouTube. Hope it is not draggy this time. Although quite disappointed with the changed cast, I believe the new cast will have their own way to present their majestic act. From the previews I've seen, Se7EN (the lead actor) looks great in this drama. Hope Goong S will bring more surprises to the Goong 1 fans.

Based on a blockbuster 1973 novel by Sakyo Komatsu, it follows the horrible events that occur when it is revealed that the island nation of Japan is sinking into the ocean. Earthquakes, tidal waves and volcanic eruptions roil the country, leaving millions dead and stranded. Japan's only hope lies with one plan and one man.

Personal View

Well, I've seen most of the reviews by others regarding this Japanese movie. Some says the graphic is not real enough, some says the scenes are not real enough. I have been longing to watch this movie since the poster is up in the cinema. After watching it today, well, I have to say hmm.. it is not up to my expectation. I expect more than this. I mean the graphic, the details they tryAnyway, it's a great movie. A sad, exciting and touching one. After watching this, I felt so fortunate to live in a country where it is free from major disaster such as earthquakes and volcanic eruption. Although currently, we are facing serious floods in some area. Compared to the possible disaster faced by Japan, our current flood means nothing!

I gave my full attention watching this movie. Learning about the causes making Japan sinking. Maybe it's very much related to my profession as a Geomatic Engineer. Well, the movie is no nonsense.. this might really happen in reality under certain circumstances. However, the possibility is extremely low.

Try to imagine, what if these happen to you? You will flee as soon as possible or stay back volunteer to help? Tough question.. dillema.. After watching this movie, you will realise the "ugliness" of human being when dealing with disaster.. everyone will try their best to survive.. the ugly side of man arise.. people will become selfish and do anything just to save their own lives.

Well, as stated in the previous post. This is one of my favorite drama before MyGirl. Watched more than 7 times. Totally addicted to it .. I love the story plot and the original soundtrack as well.

Synopsis

Mira takes in her two children from a previous marriage, Tae-hwa and Yuri. Yuri is envious of the life that Jung-suh leads and is determined to take everything away from her, including Song-joo. Five years later, tragedy occurs when Jung-suh gets into a car accident causing her to lose her memory. Together with Tae-hwa, they start anew. Song-joo is led to believe that she is dead. The Korean Waves! Globalization of K-Dramas

Well, korean dramas have been everyone's favourite since years ago. Ever wonder when did all this happen? How the Korean Waves got started? If not mistaken, the first korean drama that rocks the whole asia especially around Malaysia, Philippines and Singapore is the drama named "Endless Love (Autumn In My Heart)" during the year 2000. This drama is the first soap opera to elicit an emotional response from all reviewer.

Cast: Song Seung Hun, Song Hye Kyo, Won Bin and Han Chae Young.

I could still recall that the drama is so hot that became the most controversial topic in class, the day after the first episode was aired in TV. Well, I was totally lost that time cos I didn't watch it. What a pity!

Eventually, I watched it. It's a truly sad story regarding both siblings Yoon Joon-suh (Song Seung Heon) and Yoon Eun-suh (Song Hye Gyo). Eun-suh is then discovered that she is in fact from a different family as she was accidentally exchanged with another baby. After this discovery, their parents move to US, leaving Eun-Suh behind with her biological mother. Ten years later, Joon-suh returns to Korea and he begins to search for Eun-suh. Their reunion after being apart for ten years raise their childhood memories and soon they fall in love. However, their pure love will not be so easy. Fate is not on their side. Eun Suh ended up having cancer and died. Huh, that's the typical ending for Korean Drama.

Hmm, the story plot is interesting. But for me, it's a bit dragging. Thus, this drama does not draw much attention from me.

All About Eve (2000)

Then, another drama being aired exactly after "Autumn In My Heart", this drama named "All About Eve". It is one of the 4 most sought after dramas by the end of 2000 – the others being ‘Tale of Autumn’, ‘Sunflower’, and ‘Fireworks’. This is officially the first drama that made me crazy about Korean stuff. I love the story plot and characters so much. That time, I was still a Secondary Four student. Pretending staying up late for homework, end up watching this drama for the second time aired on TV. Hehe.. my father joined me as well.

Jang Dong Gun, Chae Rim, Han Jae Suk and Kim So Yeon

It's a story about two girls, Jin Sun Mi (Chae Lim) and Hu Young Mi (Kim So Yun). Young Mi is really evil but pretends to be nice and helpful when people are around. She is risky and will do anything to get what she wants. Both ended up becoming news anchor, Sun Mi and Young Mi's rivalry grows bigger and bigger. There's only space for one of them at the top. Who will win? Who will fall back?

I enjoy watching the wicked plots by Yin Mei making Sun Mi suffers. This drama is totally addictive.

Since then, Korean Dramas became so popular and controversial among TV viewers in Asia. Everyone is discussing about it, describing their favourite scene and so crazy about it. These dramas somehow "stole the wind" from Japan, whereas in the early days, we love Japanese Dramas. Here comes Korean (Han) Waves!

Winter Sonata (2002)

In 2002, Winter Sonata created another big waves making Asians more crazy about Korean Dramas. What will you do if someone who looks like your dead lover appears before you? Will you remain faithful to your fiancé or love the former blindly? If you are the fiancé, will you give up? If you are the third party, will you still persist in achieving your aim?

One thing I love korean drama is the interesting story plot. Well, this is one of it. But, I'm not too additive to it due to many drag scenes in this drama. However, I love the soundtrack. Yeah, it's another sad korean drama. At least a Happy Ending. What I heard is that, it is supposed to have a sad ending, but due to some suggestions and comments, the director changed it to be a Happy one. Well, not that "Happy", at least both of them can be together in the end.

Stairway To Heaven (2003)

Here comes my favourite drama "Stairway To Heaven". By reading the drama title, you'll know this is definitely a sad story. It was a very sad story indeed. The saddest of them all...

Cha Song Juh (Kwon Sang Woo) and Han Jung Suh (Choi Ji Woo) are childhood friends. Friendship turned into love for one another. But one tragedy change their lives.

After five years Song Juh is now a successful president of their company but still caught in the memories of Jung Suh whom he thinks is dead. Song Juh decided to forget Jung Suh but then he sees Jung Suh at the carousel and tries all possible ways to get her back and regain her love from Han Tae Hwa. But Jung Suh has amnesia and doesn't remember anything. But later on she is able to bring back her memories and reunite with Song Juh.

But Han Yu Ri (Kim Tae Hee) and her mean mother will make it difficult for Song Juh and Jung Suh to be together again. And like any other love story they fight for their love and married. At that time Jung Suh was blind because of her eye cancer. Tae Hwa who revealed the truth behind the disappearance of Jung Suh, is happy for her, but not fully because of Jung Suh's blindness. So Tae Hwa decides to donate his eyes but the doctor says that the donor must be dead so he gets into a car accident and is able to transfer his eyes to Jung Suh.

A very tragic story I guess because after her eye cancer it turned into a brain tumor and she's dying. I'm totally addicted to the drama that time. Watched more than 7 times. It gets more exciting as each episodes goes on.

71 episodes sounds long, but it is not. I enjoy all the episodes. Well, it is totally different compared to other korean dramas. It is not regarding love but a lady who never give up learning and surviving. Very inspiring!

Korea is riding on the "hallyu" movement - the globalization of Korean dramas (K-dramas). Whether it's Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, China or the U.S., viewers who watch Korean dramas are enamored by the "real" acting and fascinating stories that unfold before their eyes.

K-dramas are a refreshing change for many, and some, like Winter Sonata, take them back to first loves. Others like, Dae Jang Geum, tell about history in a fascinating way with rich costumes and realistic sets.

While some viewers may find them too "mild" for their taste, many others will be thrilled to find tasteful, endearing programming that reels them in and leaves them wanting more...and more...and more....and then they're hooked only to find that they are part of the "hallyu" movement.

Lastly, I personally hope that this Korean Wave will last forever. Hope to see more interesting dramas from Korea. Phew, such a long review. This post took me more than 3 hours. Anyway, hope you enjoy my review about korean drama.

Lee Da-Hae to visit Taiwan
Actress Lee Da-hae will visit Taiwan to promote her drama "My Girl" in the island country from June 26 to 28. The Korean soap opera is aired there on weekdays as a regular program. During the visit, Lee will hold interviews and meetings with fans, and appear on broadcasting programs of Taiwan's GTV.

Lee plans to visit Hong Kong in late July, because the drama will be aired there starting in early July.

A person close to the actress said that the male lead of the drama, Lee Dong-wook, will not join Lee Da-hae for the visits. Meanwhile, Lee Da-hae is choosing a new work after the production of a film she had decided to star in was cancelled.

Well, this is a korean drama out during Dec 2005. Maybe it's too late to review, but I just love it. It came before "Goong @ Princess Hours". I was recommended by my friends about this drama. I bought the dvd and started watching on Wednesday.

Gosh, I was totally hooked up by this drama. One episode after another, I just couldn't stop watching. My curiosity made me sit at my bed in front of my desktop for the whole day wondering what will happen next in this beautiful, romantic and touching story. I missed my breakfast, then lunch.. I just couldn't help it. Watched the final episode yesterday. I'm gonna miss this drama. I rate this drama 5/5.

Cast:

"My Girl" is a SBS production that spans 16 episodes. Funny as it sounds, 16 episodes to me is very short. However, at least this drama don't drag and lives up to the moment. Compared to Goong, 28episodes, there was some drag in the middle.

"My Girl" is not a completely melodramatic drama. The first thirteen episodes were seriously physiotherapy for stomach muscles. I laughed a lot. It's very funny and exciting. Until the last 3 episodes, the comedy became tragedy. It's touching and depressing. Well, I have to admit, I did cried. I just can't control.

I've found this video. How the two characters' love story will turn out if it was a 'TYPICAL' Korean Drama. LOL

Option 1: They finally found that they are brother and sister
Option 2: GongChan is actually adopted.
Option 3: YouRin actually have few months left. She's having cancer.

I've read some reviews from others, well, I totally agree. This is a very un-Korean like drama. We often see people dying and lots of sobbing. But in "My Girl", there is way more laughing than crying.

Synopsis

When Gong-chan (Lee Dong-wook) meets the lively and beautiful Yu-rin (Lee Da-hae), he notices the resemblance between her and his long-lost cousin, whom his dying grandfather has been searching for. He hires Yu-rin to stand in for his missing cousin as a final gesture to his grandfather - but his own growing feelings for her threaten to ruin everything. The real drama begins when Gong-chan's ex-girlfriend, a pro tennis star (Park Si-yeon), enters the scene determined to win him back.

As Yoorin spends more time with Gongchan's family, she gets showered with the love she never received as a child and finds herself drawn to Gongchan. She finds herself changing from the liar that she once was to a person who tries to tell the truth when she can. But she knows all too well that her one-sided love will never materialize as the difference in social status between Gongchan and herself is too big.

Look majestic? Well, Goong's fan will scream with anxiety when browsing these pictures. This is the korean drama I've been watching lately. I spent 3 days to watch 24 episodes of it. I was attracted by the discussion going on in the public, friends and radio station about this drama. Thus, due to my curiousity I bought the dvd and start watching. First day, 5 episodes then next day 10 episodes and just finished yesterday 9 episodes.

Ever wonder ‘What if modern Korea were a constitutional monarchy with a king?’ A royal family story.

A high budget drama potraying life of a royal family during 20th century. Daily life of Prince William (England)? no... although he does appear in this drama. It's a story of a Crown Prince in Korea.

Goong is story about the love in face of tradition, politics, and intrigue. Korea is a constitutional monarchy and the Royal Family lives in a grand Palace, the Goong. Story opens with a startling diagnosis that the King is terminally ill. Faced with the decreasing popularity among the public for the Royalty, a grand wedding for the Crown Prince, Lee Shin, is decided to be the best publicity move to improve the image of Royalty and at the same time prepare Shin for immediate succession. The intended bride? The headstrong, awkward, and sweet spirited Shin Chae-gyung that just happens to go to the same exclusive art school. Chae-gyung was betrothed to become the next Crown Princess by her grandfather and Shin's grandfather.

I like the photos above. I love interesting pictures below as well. It's teddy bear which is arranged and dressed exactly like the scene in the drama. The teddies look so real potraying the happiness, sadness or romance in the scene.

A drama filled with fun and laughter....

For Goong (Princess Hours) fans, hope you enjoy the pictures. While, those who never watched this drama before, well, it's worth to watch. Although it's a bit draggy in the middle.. the climax is worth to be waited. Something different from this drama with others is that we can learn lots of korean culture and an imaginative world of royalty in Korea.

This movie sounds interesting. It's not out yet until Summer 2007. It is scheduled for release on June 28, 2007 by Walt Disney Pictures in Australia and Chile, and on June 29 in the United States.

Great knowledge I've obtained through this movie. I didn't know magic would be so complicated. This movie reveals secrets of some magic! That interests me. Don't let your eyes wander too deep into the scenery or you'll likely miss an important twist. Twist after twist and lastly twist again. Well, I love this movie and I would rate it 4stars. I'm not sure this movie is available in US. But, one word to describe this movie... SUPERB! A funny, touching and stunning movie by Jackie Chan. The stun by Jackie Chan in this movie is unbelievable and almost impossible to be done. Co-starring by a cute little baby. Plus some funny scenes in the movie.

I would rate this movie 5 star! If possible, i would rate more than this. For me, it's worth to watch,,, a great loss if u missed it. I'm not promoting but just wanna share something I believe in. So, watch it and then, u'll agree with me.

Well, I watched this movie last wednesday. I intended to watch World Trade Center at first. But then found out that the movie is not shown by TGV. I dun know why. Eventually, ended up watching this. It's an action movie based on the novel by Anthony Horowitz.

My personal view - this movie is so so. There is action but not stunning enough. Not much surprises as well.. For me, it's not really worth to watch. But if u got no choice like me, then u can consider about it. I would rate it a 3 stars movie.
