Speed Racer is an upcoming 2008 American family film that is a live action film adaptation of the 1960s Japanese animated series Speed Racer. The film is written and directed by the Wachowski brothers. The film had been in development since 1992, changing writers and directors until producer Joel Silver and the Wachowski brothers collaborated to begin production on Speed Racer as a family film so the directors could reach a wider audience. Actor Emile Hirsch was cast as Speed, the hero of the animated series, and Christina Ricci portrayed Speed’s girlfriend, Trixie. Speed Racer was produced in Germany at Babelsberg Studios, where filming took place entirely against greenscreen. The Wachowski brothers also filmed in high-definition video for the first time, using a layering method to put both the foreground and the background of scenes in focus to have a real-life anime appearance. In anticipation of the film’s release, marketers have prepared toys and video games to appeal to audiences. Speed Racer is scheduled to be released on May 9, 2008

Mamma Mia! is an upcoming film adaptation of the West End musical of the same name based on the songs of pop group ABBA. The title of the film is taken from the group’s 1975 chart-topper “Mamma Mia”. Mamma Mia! employs the hit songs of famed pop group ABBA to tell the story of Sophie Sheridan (Amanda Seyfried), a young girl who hopes to discover the identity of her father. On the eve of her wedding to Sky (Dominic Cooper), she brings three men, Sam Carmichael (Pierce Brosnan), Bill Austin (Stellan Skarsgard) and Harry Bright (Colin Firth), from her mother Donna’s (Meryl Streep) past back to the Greek island they visited over two decades ago. It will be produced by Universal Pictures in partnership with Playtone and Littlestar. It is slated for a release date of July 11, 2008 in Sweden and the United Kingdom, July 18, 2008 in the United States. Academy Award winner Meryl Streep will head the cast of the film, playing the role of single mother Donna Sheridan. Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth and Stellan Skarsgard will play the three potential fathers to Donna’s daughter Sophie (Amanda Seyfried)

It is interesting to see two white collar defense attorneys announced as nominees for U.S. Attorney just as the TRAC statistics show that although there is an increase by 7% in white collar prosecutions for April, white collar prosecutions are down 17.7% from five years ago. U.S. Attorney’s Office Awards “Project Safe Neighborhoods” Grant To Middlesex D.A. and Lowell P.D.
$200,000 Grant Will Fund Local Crime Prevention Initiatives, Enhance Investigation and Prosecution Of Gang and Gun Violence In Lowell Area

LOWELL – Seeking to help combat gang and gun violence in Greater Lowell, the United States Attorney’s Office has awarded the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office and the Lowell Police Department with a $200,000 Project Safe Neighborhoods Grant (PSN) to fund community-based crime prevention programs and enhance local efforts to investigate and prosecute gang and gun crimes.

The grant will be used by the Middlesex District Attorney’s office and the Lowell Police Department to fund already existing prevention and problem-solving initiatives that aim to decrease gang activity and gun violence. Additionally, the funding will be used to expand and extend public awareness campaigns in Lowell, including the Community Hotline, Crime Stoppers Tip Line and Lowell’s “Top Ten Most Wanted” program

Attorney: Lindsay Lohan on track

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (AP) - Lindsay Lohan's attorney says Lohan is on track after pleading guilty last year to drunken driving.

Blair Berk gave an update Tuesday on how Lohan is complying with her sentence for misdemeanor drunken driving and cocaine charges. Berk told the judge that Lohan is "completely on track with everything."

The judge seemed satisfied but scheduled another progress report for January.

It is important to elect men like Huckabee because his message will change our legal climate for Christian families to stop Court injustices like the one where in Wright v. Wright, the good mother Ishah was Court ordered a denial to her request to celebrate Christmas with her 7-year-old son whom she raised and the court had/has no just cause to deny this, especially after just cause was given for Ishah to celebrate their family Christmas tradition with her son. The Court waited until a time where no other effective resolution could have put the good mother and son back together for Christmas 2006. Will the 5th District Court of Appeal be the Grinch who steals Christmas again this year by failure to grant this year's motion to stop the Appellee Jason R. Wright and non-party, Crystal (Crystal having no parental rights) from blocking the son from the good mother Ishah. In the lower court Jason R. took the child with police force by lying about Ishah, and Jason R. has never responded in the Appeal Court, but gave an email confession to Ishah that was attached to documents that Ishah gave the Court around the time that Ishah won the Appeal by Default rightfully as declared in her Response Clarification that the Court ordered "noted" finally in May 2007. Attorney as Pro Se in this video, it is also outrageous that Jason R. thought he could get away with lying to the lower court(s) because additional news not in the video (but in the file) is that Ishah has been a somewhat public figure for federal office and is a former movie actress whose father obtained political freedom to the United States by the father of the Diaz-Ballart US Congressmen and news reporter brothers. This Appeal "noted" order also overturned a pedophile case law in the lower court(s) that Ishah opposed as Ishah's platform and value system is anti-pedophile. This was a special post-appeal and post-dismissal order Ishah asked for in Notice Pleading style citing the invoking of Federal Court Rule 55. Ishah's victory protects all children from pedophile case law, as Ishah also had the victory and matter brought before different jurisdictions around the same time since the Appeal Court previously said they did not have jurisdiction or it was improper in their Court, yet they had originally accepted the case with all of its matters into their Court by ordering and taking filing fee and by assigning a case number. Did an all white Court deny Christmas because Ishah is multiracial? Ishah is part black, Hispanic and white and Mike Branom had even given a report in Associated Press article prior that even proved that some Jason R.'s later allegations were false against Ishah, as the facts were documented in the article opposed the J. R. Wright's story in the Sept. 2006 order. Ishah's son is on a GodTube.com video reading the Bible aloud at age 6 in Ishah's house (the same house reported Branom was in) and one can see the house is not what Jason R. purported and the little boy is not uneducated as Jason R. purported about his own son. J. R. Wright's attorney Benson's name has not appeared in the Appeal Court either as has Jason R. to answer Ishah's proof that they lied and that Eric Benson's name did not come up in active licensed attorney searches in Sept. 2006. Ishah has also personally been a volunteer for Huckabee for about one year and knows the importance of continuing to elect President's who advocate free religious expression, from Ishah's experience with America's court system.
