The party continues on their quest, this time helped by a dark elf with mysterious markings, while a warlock is trying to beat them to their goal. Unfortunately, it seemed like the makers made a lot less effort for this film, especially in the areas of character interaction and storyline. That's unfortunate, especially since I loved A Quest for Heroes.

Some commentators focused on the quality of the special effects. I don't care about those, but this is an indicator that those people didn't feel the characters were important or the story inspiring, and that is on the script writer. If the story is great and the characterization well done, no one looks twice on the special effects. I think that, while I still enjoyed the film, more effort should be made to make the viewers feel with the characters in a story that one could believe in.

Bottom line: fun film, really inconsistent characters, jumping from love to hate on a whim, and a disappointing and rushed ending that made little sense. I hope the next part will be more engaging.

What bothers me most about Age of Ultron is that it can't decide on what kind of tone it wants to set. Some of the old Marvel spirit that balances fun with character arcs and themes is struck here, but a lot of the time, this film is just depressing too. The themes get quite dark, almost DC dark at times, and that worries me, 'cause I think the Marvel movies have done a better job with the whole comic-book movie thing than DC have. Hope this is not a sign of things to come.

Furthermore, all plot and character development seems to have been thrown out the window. The first Avengers worked because it was the perfect melting pot for all of these characters' stories and character development at the time. Captain America was still getting used to life in the 21st century, and of course Loki and Thor's story was in direct continuation to the movie Thor. In Age of Ultron, the same attempt at character and story unity is just messy. I thought Steve Rogers (and Falcon) was going to search for Bucky Barnes, did he just put that on hold? On the whole, the Cap was underused in this movie, as was Thor (my two faves). And the whole romance thing with Natasha and Bruce only works because of the wonderful performances by Scarlett Johansson and Mark Ruffalo. These characters have never shown the slightest bit of chemistry together before, now suddenly we're told that they have a crush on each other. After a movie where the Cap and Romanoff had a lot of chemistry together. Sure.

Also, maybe it's just me, but I just didn't care as much about the fictional city, because, well, it's fictional. We've already established that these characters live in a world tangent to our own, and Loki's invasion on Manhattan felt far more visceral to the audience 'cause we could relate to it. Not setting the final battle in an actual Eastern European location really damaged my investment in it. I really, really like Ultron as a character, though, and his personality kept me excited. But how he and Jarvis were connected might've gone over the heads of many in the audience.

You will not walk away from this film all energized like after the first Avengers. Instead, you'll feel like this is the end of an era. Pros to Elizabeth Olsen for a great character, but as a Marvel movie, Age of Ultron is messy to say the least.

A young family move to an isolated house which the mother has been hired to restore only to discover that presences still linger casting a hold over her artist sculpturing husband.

Taking a leaf from a James Herbert novel and channelling countless haunted films Altar is an effective ghost story chiller, however, what sets director/writer Nick Willing's offering apart are the practical and some special effects which have an optical natural feel as opposed to the usual ineffective blatant CGI.

Willing delivers some genuinely eerie visuals and creepy moments, this coupled with a great score and on location shoot help give some credence and atmosphere to the proceedings. Matthew Modine's Hamilton sports a Shining Jack Torrence like woollen jumper (the writer character is replaced here by an artist) and mimics Torrence's transformation (although quite speedy) still Modine gives an intense performance. Both the younger actors are effective, actress Antonia Clarke is notable as Penny. Olivia Williams gives convincing performance which complements the naturalistic writing and setting.

While it breaks no new ground in terms of ghost stories or twist endings it's a solid old school British horror.

A great little movie. Slow and intense, it tells a very good story. Compelling as well as intriguing, the movie real characters. Normal human beings that for better or for worse are people dealing with their life in a desperate way of making things better. It is heart braking as well as full of hope even is the latter is harder to find at times. I had a great time watching this movie but I also didn't expect it to be Gone Girl - which is directed by David Fincher. Gilles Paquet-Brenner gives us a good mystery with a secret that doesn't reveal itself until the very end. Great cast, good script but this movie is more challenging than Fincher's. Gave it your absolute attention, and you will be rewarded.

Disney has done it again. Everybody knows Cinderella story and what this film gave was as it is with the help of modern CGI works. When I heard about the Disney's live-shot version is getting ready, I had a serious doubt, but not anymore. Nowadays, the filmmakers know how to pull it off a big budget movie with ease. Especially from Hollywood, if one market fails, it will raise in another as the recent example was 'Age of Extinction'. I am glad this movie met a great success despite it was not a surprise material as a story, but was as the quality of product.

The movie runs nearly for 100 minutes, that does not feel too long as the narration had a wonderful pace. Everything was awesomely handled by the director of 'Thor'. It's a new era of the live-shot movies, which borrows the stories from the fairy tales, folklore and classical animations. Recent 'Maleficent' was one of the great examples and this film as well enters the book of triumph.

Lily James was very good, I haven't seen her much, because she's kind of a new actress in the spotlight. She's cute and adorable, I love to see her in many movies in the future. While Cate Blanchett, I never had any disbelief in her and she delivered it perfectly. An ideal movie for a family to watch at the weekend. I think children would love it, so at least watch it for them, with them.

Watching Time Out of Mind requires a lot of patience. For one thing, every time a scene becomes interesting, it abruptly cuts to another, disallowing your attention to take a full hold. Another thing is the voyeuristic long lens and unfiltered city noise, which are meticulous, but only work as obstacles when you try to observe the main character closely.

The ultimate problem is, however, this story of a homeless man tells not much more than what you have known or imagined before. It's hard to sympathize with Richard Gere's protagonist who is in constant denial, and the film, for the most part, visualizes only what is already visible, and merely scratches the surface of this troubled soul's current state.

The later part of the film becomes noticeably engaging when it employs some close-up shots and background music. You finally start feeling for each character and recognize the chemistry of actors, but you cannot help but wonder if the dramatic value of this is really worth all the leading time.

The film's execution is thus questionable, but one thing for sure is the sincere intention of actor-producer Gere. He wants us to take another look at the problem we all know exists by presenting it the way it is. It's interesting to know that, in his panhandler costume, the lead actor still looks handsome and healthy; yet people choose to go around and never bother to look close enough to notice a movie star. It would have been a far more interesting film if Gere had also delved into the minds of those people passing by, instead of just glancing over the mind of the homeless man.

This is the best Chinese animation movie I've seen. I watch what is coming out of the mainland and in animation it has been bad. Same with live action, but sometimes we get movies like Kung Fu Hustle which was amazing. Where are all the great HK movies? Why don't the mainland movie makers watch more international films and understand that good plot is essential to a good movie. But Dragon Nest might be the movie that proves the mainland can make movies now. This movie feels like it came from a game, but Song Yuefeng, the director, took his skills to add feelings and fun to the action. This is a director to watch out of China. I now want to see the sequel.

Saw this at the Rotterdam film festival 2015 (IFFR). It is nice to observe a cross section of such a closed community, particularly for myself as I grew up in a small village (750 people, 100 houses). I recognize many things that happened in this movie. The central notion is that everyone knows everyone, upto and including his present and past. Especially the dark sides of each ones past are obviously never forgotten. One is unable to loose it, in spite of having lived a normal life as a law abiding citizen for decades without incident.

Many reviewers insist that there are in fact three separate story lines. I don't see that, since the connecting dots are everywhere in the form of the main protagonists (stranded woman, ex-rapist Ivo, service station attendant, and policeman). These four together see to it that the scenes are tied together into a logical flow of events.

A lot of side protagonists are being thrown in, all of them more or less related to the core story of the woman with the stranded car on one hand, and Ivo with his 20-years old past as a rapist on the other hand. Each of the characters is introduced very well, proportional to his or her importance for the story. As such I never felt myself overwhelmed with the amount of villagers we saw passing.

All in all, very well written script and very well acted. There is a lot of darkness in this film, in almost every meaning of the word, all being perfectly visualized. This is the opposite of a feel-good movie, and that is by design. Yet, could have been much better when the story had a logical wrap up, and did not peter out like it did. I didn't expect a happy ending, but I still felt left alone in the dark after leaving the theater, without any trace of a silver lining.

It is a big hit, and at last Anna manages to convince Elsa into letting her to lead her to bed and take care of her. The quality of the acting and the production is first class. It is s well directed movie, hats off to Russell Crowe for his directorial debut. I really enjoyed the fact that the movie showed respect to the cultures depicted and kept things on a level playing field. During the screening it was very clear to me the audience was won over and totally engrossed in the movie, just as I was. Watched allot of movies in 2014, but this one is of a higher standard all round. This movie has the potential to be nominated for awards and any it wins would be well deserving. Special mention to Dylan Georgiades who was a delight to watch in the film. I rated this movie a 9/10, and I hope it is successful as it deserves to be, Russell Crowe has done it again.

can/t understand why this film has a low score its got everything a good film needs a good storyline (most importantly the characters are believe able you can understand the plot )it goes along at a steady pace its not too slow, its aimed at the longer generation but grown ups will enjoy it too, its got some funny moments that make you chuckle and the special effects don't overshadow the scenes. After watching the film i can only say that IF the film had been made in Hollywood it would have a cast of A list stars and more special effects and CGI than Any Star wars film which may have made pots of money for some one but it may not have been so enjoyable.

So, Bajrangi Bhaijaan is Salman Khan's most daring film where Salman presents a beautiful performance - but allows the story to be the real dabangg. Pawan (Salman) aka 'Bajrangi' is a devout Shri Hanuman bhakt who meets a speech-impaired child (Harshaali) wandering alone, hungry and silent. Bajrangi decides to help the child, whom he calls Munni, return to her family - which is in Pakistan.

The magic of Salman Khan has once again worked wonders at the box office.
The first-day collections itself of Bajrangi Bhaijaan have broken the record of Salman Khan's last year's release, Kick, and Aamir Khan's, PK. With the three day figure, Bajrangi Bhaijaanhas broken the weekend record of Aamir's Dhoom 3 (Hindi version), as per a report on Boxofficeindia.com. Bajrangi Bhaijaan also set a new record on the second Saturday, as the film made approximately Rs 19 crore nett, breaking the previous record held by PK which had grossed around Rs 17.25 crore nett.

This Kabir Khan directorial is also closing in on the Rs 500 crore mark in worldwide business, with the movie looking to make Rs 127 crore after two weeks (overseas market) and the business in India will be Rs 368 crore in terms of gross box office, as per a report on Boxofficeindia.com.

Further to reports, Bajrangi Bhaijaan made approximately Rs 1.25 crore nett on its fourth Friday. The business of the film continued to be rock solid as it earned Rs 7.25 crore over its fourth weekend. Collections dropped slightly on Monday to Rs 80 lakh nett, yet the number is good for the fourth Monday collection. After 25 days, the film's collections stand at close to Rs 307 crore nett.

According to a report on Boxofficeindia.com, the film has made approximately Rs 5-5.25 crore nett on its first day. The film did approximately 40% better business on Saturday than Friday and managed to collect around Rs 7.5 crore at the box-office. Drishyam released in over 2200 screens.

The report on Boxofficeindia.com further stated that Drishyam had registered good business in the Mumbai circuit. The film's total collection after eight days stands at Rs 32.25 crore nett.

Drishyam continued to be stable at the box-office even in its second week and managed to earn Rs 12 crore if we club the second weekend and Monday numbers. The day-wise breakup is as follows: Friday - Rs 2.25 crore, Saturday - Rs 3.75 crore, Sunday - Rs 4.5 crore, Monday - Rs 1.5 crore.
PLOT SUMMARY

The film tells the story of a Maharashtrian family who live in Goa and whose lives turn upside down when their older daughter Anju has a skirmish with a college boy Sameer at a nature camp Anju's father(Vijay Salgoankar)tries hard to protect his family. A 4th grade dropout & an orphan, Vijay has worked his way towards success with his sheer hard-work & street smartness in order to provide for his family who mean the world to him. A man of few means and needs, Vijay believes life is to be lived simplistically. His wife Nandini (Shriya), while she loves him devoutly, wants Vijay's thrifty and miserly behavior to end and wants the world for her family. The couple have two daughters, Anju (Ishita) and Anu (Mrinal), a student. If there's one thing that Vijay cannot live without, it is his passion for watching films. Such is his 'filmi' obsession that he doesn't mind staying up all night at his office binging on TV movies.

During a nature camp, Anju gets photographed in the bathroom by a hidden cell phone. The culprit, Sameer (Rishab Chaddha) is the son of Meera Deshmukh, Inspector General of Police. When Sam goes to their home to blackmail them there is an accident. Nandidi tells Vijay about the incident and he devises a way to save his family from the law. He removes the broken cell phone . Some how Sub-Inspector Gaitonde (Kamlesh Sawant), who has a grudge against Vijay suspects that there is something wrong with the way the Salganokars are behaving.

Vijay takes his family out on a weekend trip to Panjim to attend Swami Chinmayanand's Satsangh Session, watch a movie and eat at a restaurant.

Meanwhile, Meera, realising that her son has gone missing starts an investigation. After a preliminary investigation, she calls Vijay and his family for questioning. Vijay had predicted that this would happen and taught his family how to speak to the Police during questioning.. When questioned individually, they replied the same thing and they had also shown the bill of the restaurant, the movie ticket and the bus journeys' tickets as proof of their being away on the dates when Sameer went missing.

Meera even questions the owners of the establishments they have been to and their statements also prove the Salgaonkar's alibi. Meera realises that on the day of the incident, Vijay had taken the tickets and the bill, made acquaintance with the owners and had gone for the trip with his family the next day, thus proving his alibi and making the owners unwittingly tell the lie.

Meera arrests the Salgaonkars and Gaitonde uses brute force to beat the truth out of them. Eventually, Anu gives in and reveals the place where the body is buried. After digging the compost pit, they find the carcass of a calf, indicating that Vijay had moved a body. Anu reports to the media and complains against Gaitonde. The Sub-Inspector is suspended and later Meera resigns from her post.

At the end, Meera and her husband Mahesh (Rajat Kapoor) meet Vijay to ask forgiveness for their rude and violent behavior. But Vijay indirectly tells them that he had got rid of 'the uninvited guest'.

Back in current day, Vijay signs a register, as required by the cops, at the newly constructed local police station. As he leaves, a flashback shows him leaving the incomplete police station with a shovel in hand.

SPOILER ALERT. ONLY READ THIS IF YOU HAVE ALREADY SEEN THE FILM

When Anju is trying to stop Sameer or Sam as he is called from attacking her mother Nandini she hits him with a blunt object; he falls down. Nandini panicks when she realises that he has been struck dead. Quickly Nandini and Anju put his bag in a gunny back and bury him in their own garden.

All through the investigations no one from the Salgaonkar family talks of Sam being dead. They play along with the police who only think that the boy has gone missing but do not assume that he is dead.

In the climax, when Vijay who is let free by the Police because they are unable to find a body he smiles. He is questioned by another Police guy who has taken over the investigation and vows to prove Vijay guilty. He asks him about the whereabouts of the body. Vijay smiles because he has shifted the body from the compost pit behind his own garden and buried it right below the foundation laid for the new police station in their neighbourhood. it is the classic case of searching for a clue the world over but never dreaming of looking for it in the backyard.

After seeing the trailer for While We're Young last week I was reminded what a wonderful and smart comedy this is. It was my favorite movie from TIFF last year, and one of Baumbach's best.

Anyone over 40 will relate to Josh (Ben Stiller) and Cornelia (Naomi Watts), a married couple in a rut. It's that painful experience of realizing that you've grown up without even trying to, and it's hard to see what's still possible when your body is reminding you that half of your life is already behind you. Baumbach is able to turn this experience into a hilarious and heartwarming story, and that is no small feat. It's serious stuff.

I remember his debut feature Kicking and Screaming as a seminal movie of my 20s. If you've seen it, you might have the same feeling watching While We're Young that I did. It was like I'd watched Noah Baumbach grow up through his films and characters. I suspect if you watched all his movies in sequence it would be quite powerful. Maybe Noah Baumbach is due for a retrospective titled "Manhood" ??

If Anchorman spawned a lovechild with High School Musical, it would abound with sophomoric one-liners between energetic musical numbers. And thusly, Pitch Perfect 2 feels like it was belched from that very birth canal. As the plot develops, it becomes more and more formulaic. Deeply meaningful, though, is not what this film wants to be when it grows up. Along side some jokes that would make 3rd graders giggle intensely, the Anchorman-esque humor takes shots at cultural and racial biases. This style of humor may give some of the more hoity-toity among us a reason to snub the film. I,on the other hand, laughed so hard I did some crop dusting of my own. (My apologies to those sitting near me.) When the plot or jokes stall, energetic High School Musical-esque song mash-ups flourish while some scenes are hilariously forced.

Storyline:

In this first installment of the werewolf trilogy, we follow a group of shape-shifting werewolves that appear in a small town in search of a mysterious girl who is re-born once every 2000 years. In order to save their kind from the brink of extinction, they must capture her before she becomes a full fledged Lycan and reclaim her place as the Alpha species. Unknown to them however lurks yet another of her kind secretly living in the same small town. If they can capture both, then they would have the power to control a new species of werewolves and enslave the human race.

I had great expectations from this flick. It was announced like a very good wolf movie. When I saw 8,8 rate on IMDb,my happiness was over the top. It took me 2 minutes to realize what piece of garbage is this. CGI, acting, directing, script everything is terrible. The worst movie I have watch for a long time. I keep asking my self who can give money for something like this. How can someone sign himself as a director and writer for something terrible as this. And acting, what can I say. It's not B movie it is Z movie category. So if you care about yourself and about your time, skip this insult to the movie and save your nerves and time.

Storyline

In the year 2054 A.D. crime is virtually eliminated from Washington D.C. thanks to an elite law enforcing squad "Precrime". They use three gifted humans (called "Pre-Cogs") with special powers to see into the future and predict crimes beforehand. John Anderton heads Precrime and believes the system's flawlessness steadfastly. However one day the Pre-Cogs predict that Anderton will commit a murder himself in the next 36 hours. Worse, Anderton doesn't even know the victim. He decides to get to the mystery's core by finding out the 'minority report' which means the prediction of the female Pre-Cog Agatha that "might" tell a different story and prove Anderton innocent.

The best film to date so far this year as of 8/02! This film is about a John (Tom Cruise) who is haunted by the disappearance of his young son many years ago. To cope with the grief he works at a crime pervanetion network founded by Lamar Burgess (Max Von Sydow) that can predict murders and stop them before they occur. However, one day while at work Tom Cruise is shocked to discover that it is saying he will be the next person to try and commit murder. John thinks that an agent named Danny (Colin Farrell) who is investigating the the unit is trying to set him up. To add to the problems, the person John is accused of trying to murder is a person he does not even know and it says John will kill him in 48 hours.

Fast paced, exciting and deeply moving & thought provoking film. Tom Crusie does good work here. Colin turns in a deliciously nasty performance. However the film belongs to Max Von Sydow who is absolutely genius here. Director Speilberg treats the audience to some highly original and creative visual effects and has presented us with a fun story that covers all the bases. The ending is especially good.
